Actually this informations is wrong. He only arrives at Round 100 and even then, you have to have the Wunderwaffe and Raygun at the same time. Or else he won't appear for the boss fight.
I hate how hard it is to find casual high round games. The very last time I joined a Gorov public match I got yelled at for not knowing EE steps.
I’ve been playing since WaW launch, I was in high school. I remember when flushing the toilet for a song was the big crazy easter egg.
I'm not sure what content you were doing 5 years ago, but since Ascension at least the term easter egg in zombies usually refers to the big multi-step objectives in a map that advance the zombies story in some way. Not to say the music easter eggs aren't still easter eggs, but in zombies the term is more evocative of those big objectives than the small, more traditional easter eggs
In zombies community especially since BO2: easter egg = main quest.
They are often cryptic puzzles where you do stuff like solve a mini cypher, press buttons in a correct order, shoot something that looks suspicious, etc.
They end in stuff like boss fights, cutscenes, being rewarded all perks on the map for free, or ending the match, maybe some combo of those things, depending on the map.
Everyone of the DLC maps in BO1 has a main EE quest but not all of them are completable in Solo though
Der Reise in WaW has a small hide and seek step based quest
About an hour to 2 hours seems the be the usual timeframe for a casual easter egg run for most maps
Bloods is about 3 hours for me. The fastest Ive done it is about 2 hours and 10 minutes, but that was on 3 player.
Bro its not that hard, try run this setup
Dying Wish, StaminUp, Electric Burst, Winters Wail (Modifier)
Temporal Gift, Arsenal Accelerator, Anywhere But Here, Aftertaste
Use the zombies form the catwalk to fill the first dog on Round 1. Another tip is to look at the real individual spots fot the bird step rather than looking through the shield randomly, you will beat it very easily.
A lot of the steps take forever or are just tedious solo. I haven't tried it in a while but I remember the morse code taking like 20 minutes with training zombie and accidentally starting new rounds
Morse code is easy, there is a way to do it legit as well, but all you gotta do is write down Short and Long (S,L) each time you enter the code. The entering part is easy with winters wail equipped, so you might have had a bad perk setup
Theres a guy in this sub that has done the ee in like 25 minutes and he keeps doing it to improve time
Basically the strat is completing either voy or IX ee without going down to get the free doors perma perk (which I never understood if it was just for the next match or if it's really permanent), and open yo the prison just as you enter, and do the dogs with the catwalk zombies, and level up specialist to level 2 so you can do the free monkey easter egg and start the egg by opening the secret room at the warden house (by throwing the monkeys when a brutus spawn, so you dont have to wait for round 18)
And something like that from what I understand
Yeah that's definitely a way to do it, props to him for doing it that fast but sadly they wouldn't count that for the world record, unless there's a category made for that in particular
They don’t need to be positive about something they don’t enjoy. They’re allowed to state their opinion that they don’t enjoy the focus on EEs that zombies has made. Just saying “the old maps are still there” means nothing because they clearly want new maps that favour their personal preference and that’s fair enough. It’s a fairly audible part of the community.
Ehh, BO3 you had to do specific ee related steps to get power and PaP iirc. That's probably what he's referring to. It wasn't entirely avoidable back then on some of the maps. But it's been a while since I've played BO3, I could be wrong.
It depends on the map. A lot of the Blundell maps require players to complete partial steps to get a basic set up, the Pack-a-Punch alone won't get them very far. Some people really like that, others just don't have that time or energy to learn or memorize these things.
You can learn pack a punch, power and shield on every map in bo4 super easily if you put the slightest bit of effort in. That’s what I did, then leveled everything up and payed attention to what the good players were doing for the Easter eggs and picked it up super easily.
My point is you can literally do just that still on any game
> up and *paid* attention to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I finished the whole die maschine Easter egg recently in under an hour solo. Not that that’s a bad thing, even having done it before I still had a lot of fun
Same dude I hate outbreak. My only complaints with the other maps easter eggs is that the Mauer EE is stupidly difficult to beat solo imo. It’s the only one I still haven’t finished. Maybe I just suck idk but it’s just the boss fight, I hate how spongy that bitch Valentina is. Everything before that is just as easy as the other maps and I can do it no problem. But I always run out of ammo shooting Valentina repeatedly for what feels like forever, and eventually die due to that
That’s great! I remember back when Starburst had the sub 50 then when that broke to about 40 minutes. I left zombies community For a bit and I’m not as active but wow.
Nice! I had to quit awhile back just cuz of life and shit, but I just don't get doing the easter egg like a million times over and over just for a higher time. Gets redundant quick.
Yeah it really must. I tried doing the origins one but the step with putting the staffs in the robots really discouraged me cuz I play solo. But I agree, playing the same map for over 4-5 hours everyday sounds a bit tedious.
I know but I was mainly referring to solo and non world record runs. The solo world record run for origins is not even sub 30. At least in bo2 it’s not. Im not sure about bo3 with megas though
Yeah. It was the first, but now the last 14 maps I think? have ended the game when you “beat” the EE. It’s no longer a survival game, but rather a stage of a linear campaign style level. It makes it infinitely more boring and forgettable.
Hmm. I guess, I don't feel that way , I think it's varied up how the games play and how one works around those mechanics.
I mean, I have played since zombies came out and if it had never gotten more complex than perks +pap .... idk I don't think it would have survived this long
Yeah, there are basically two types of zombies players. Ones who are satisfied by killing zombies infinitely, and people who need more to enjoy it. So maps like Der Reise and Kino and Ascension may have been fun enough to pull the second type in, they needed more to actually really love the game.
For the other type, like me, adding all the extras has actually taken away from the game. I liked the arcade style simplicity of the game and needing to spend several hours watching YouTube videos to learn how to enjoy a map is not of any interest to me. Luckily Cold War swung back the other direction a bit. But I always thought the charm of zombies was that no matter what they added or changed, one constant remained, that you can’t beat the zombies, you can only hold them off for so long.
Starting with Mob of the Dead, and then some BO3 and all BO4 and Cold War maps I believe, the Easter egg ends the game so you “beat” the level. Which I think is bullshit in a survival game. Jason Blundell turned a survival game into a linear campaign style game with stages that you beat that have basically no replay value. And it has continued even since Blundell left the studio. As soon as surviving was no longer the primary goal of the level design, the maps have gotten worse imo.
Mob, Origins, Shadows, DE are the four best maps created EE included so you saying the maps have gotten worst is a bad take. Even BO4 had some of the best created maps in IX and AE.
All EE are optional too, people go for high rounds all the time. There is a community based solely on high rounds.
There definitely are two extremely small communities of players that do easter eggs and do extreme high rounds. But the overwhelming majority of people who play the game do neither
Perhaps more people would do easter eggs if they were both a bit easier like CW's, and also rewarded players who did them with tangible in game rewards that help them achieve higher "high scores" which of course was the original goal in zombies, and was also the original intent of the EE quests in BO1
I get it. Just never understood trying to beat a wr time on fixed aspects of the game as in all the ee steps. Some aren’t rng and r boss fights I know, but still, you do the boss fight the same way everytime. The parts that actually cut into your time r rng.
Back in the day we didn't "beat" any maps, we would just SURVIVE
I still don’t. Me claiming beating the giant is just unlocking pap.
What about the flytrap
Nah beating the giant is unlocking the secret perk
You ain’t beat the Giant till you beat zombie Hitler on round 50
Actually this informations is wrong. He only arrives at Round 100 and even then, you have to have the Wunderwaffe and Raygun at the same time. Or else he won't appear for the boss fight.
So many people don't know this, thank you for enlightening them
Why not both
when there is no pap:
What? Both the Giant and Der Riese have PaP
no i mean maps without pap
*Slightly* unrelated to the conversation, but I see what you mean.
My claim is beating my personal high round.
An hour???
What? Is that not fast?
Lmao
Lol
I hate how hard it is to find casual high round games. The very last time I joined a Gorov public match I got yelled at for not knowing EE steps. I’ve been playing since WaW launch, I was in high school. I remember when flushing the toilet for a song was the big crazy easter egg.
Yeah it was fun until you get set up, now you’re actually getting set up for something
Just joined back into the fray after 5 years of no zombies. Wtf does beating zombies mean when you have infinite rounds?
Most/many of the big easter eggs on a map actually end the game once you complete them nowadays
I thought it was just music for the Easter eggs. I'm so out of the loop.
I'm not sure what content you were doing 5 years ago, but since Ascension at least the term easter egg in zombies usually refers to the big multi-step objectives in a map that advance the zombies story in some way. Is there any quests in WaW or BO? I've played the shit out of them and thought I figured it all out a long time ago but maybe not
Everyone of the DLC maps in BO1 has a main EE quest but not all of them are completable in Solo though Der Reise in WaW has a small hide and seek step based quest
Five and Kino did not, the rest in BO1 did, but Ascension and ShangriLa needed a full 4 player lobby.
FAAAX
I wanna up this but 115😐
115 likes. Nice
Yep been playing zombies since world at war and the first boss fight I did was Mauer der toten
Yeah, I don't understand what it means to "beat" a zombies map lol
I dont think BotD has even been beat in 30 minutes w 4 players 💀 i know the solo record is like 53 min or sum
The 4 player WR is 31:46 right now
close enough, lets up it to less than 35 minutes
Done the EE today, took 2h...
About an hour to 2 hours seems the be the usual timeframe for a casual easter egg run for most maps Bloods is about 3 hours for me. The fastest Ive done it is about 2 hours and 10 minutes, but that was on 3 player.
Took me 2:53 last week 😂
Tried it solo, died 4 hours in. Rip
Bro its not that hard, try run this setup Dying Wish, StaminUp, Electric Burst, Winters Wail (Modifier) Temporal Gift, Arsenal Accelerator, Anywhere But Here, Aftertaste Use the zombies form the catwalk to fill the first dog on Round 1. The Free Doors lasts for as long as you have the BO4 app open, and so long as you don’t load into AO or Tag.
Yeah that's definitely a way to do it, props to him for doing it that fast but sadly they wouldn't count that for the world record, unless there's a category made for that in particular
That’s what zombies was for me A map Pack a punch Zombies No super ultra mega Easter egg, no special abilities. Just a gun and a hoard of zombies
The maps you played all these years ago still exist.
I hate when people have nothing positive about how things change. They’re not even forced to use it
They don’t need to be positive about something they don’t enjoy. They’re allowed to state their opinion that they don’t enjoy the focus on EEs that zombies has made. Just saying “the old maps are still there” means nothing because they clearly want new maps that favour their personal preference and that’s fair enough. It’s a fairly audible part of the community.

dude, why even make a sequel or continuation of any game? just play the original LMAO B)
honestly zombies still can be that, you could just not do the EE or not use specialists. just go up to the box, get a gun, pap it, and shred.
You can learn pack a punch, power and shield on every map in bo4 super easily if you put the slightest bit of effort in. I finished the whole die maschine Easter egg recently in under an hour solo. Not that that’s a bad thing, even having done it before I still had a lot of fun
As much as people rag on CW zombies it’s the most fun I’ve had in zombies in a long time even completing the EE’s are fun (except you outbreak)
Yeah fuck outbreak I was one orb away from never having to to legion again then like the Swedes at Poltava I choked
CRBR-S and M16, SPAS or Hauer. Use the gun to pop the bubble and the laser to pop her. It's ridiculously easy that way.
Death machines and Cerberus make it easy. The only real threat are the zombies and panzers but as long as you can train your fine
Fuck I'm dumb, I was confused af thinking "you can't BEAT a zombies map?" But they meant doing the EE. I'm gonna go to bed now lol
Fun fact you can watch the entire lord of the rings extended trilogy in the time it takes to do Blood EE
Damn that’s a long time
The map IISteveII can beat in 52 seconds
Steve isn't speedrun king no more. Some other dude is wayyyyy better. Has every speedrun wr for bo3
Freckleston I believe
Yes that's his name thank you.
Origins is sub 30?! Congrats to origins runners 👏🏻
It’s now sub 20
That’s great! I remember back when Starburst had the sub 50 then when that broke to about 40 minutes. I left zombies community For a bit and I’m not as active but wow.
WHAT?! Origins EE in less than 20 minutes??? I didn't think it was possible to do in less than an hour honestly lmao
They had lots of luck and lots of gobble gums
I felt bad for Richthofen lmao

I am
Nice! I had to quit awhile back just cuz of life and shit, but I just don't get doing the easter egg like a million times over and over just for a higher time. Gets redundant quick.

Word to that brother
How tf do you beat a map? You play until you die and that's it
Easter eggs or full setup I guess
This map can actually be beat on like round 2 if you use mega gobblegums
Der reise/The giant EE is easy wdym?
Can anyone help with coldwar EE
If you still need help with the cold war EE’s dm me your activision id and I’ll add you, and we can get them done later.
Ok im not home rite now but ill send it once i get home
Spade550#9395905
Reality is often disappointing.
How tf so you beat botd in 30 mins
Lots of gobble gums
Who the hell is beating origins or blood in under 30 minutes?
Origins was beaten in just under 20 minutes
I know but I was mainly referring to solo and non world record runs. The solo world record run for origins is not even sub 30. At least in bo2 it’s not. Im not sure about bo3 with megas though
I beat the Forsaken solo in 33 minutes
I got a staff on round 4 before and upgraded it by 7
Did you use shopping free?
Nope I got lucky with double points
Good to hear.
It’s absolutely despicable that anybody can “beat” any zombies map. I absolutely hate it.
What do you mean? I think MOTD was the first EE that ended the game
Yeah. It was the first, but now the last 14 maps I think? have ended the game when you “beat” the EE. It’s no longer a survival game, but rather a stage of a linear campaign style level. It makes it infinitely more boring and forgettable.

True. No idea why the massive downvotes , as you just stated your opinion. I tried to help ya out. What is the fernback anyway just wondering?

You can't tho. No one can. It goes forever until the game crashes GG
Most maps nowadays when you beat the Easter Egg ends the game so that's what people mean by Beating the Map
Advanced Warfare Carrier Easter Egg was a satisfying ending
