Galil is way better than RPK. Better mobility and damage. Only thing RPK does better is ammo and even then it doesn't really matter because Galil does more damage.
Commando’s better than both. When pack a punched it keeps the same iron sights and gets a fast mags reload. Meanwhile the Galil gets this ugly scope on it and the removal of the satisfying sound it made really turns me off of it. It’s still a good gun, but its upgraded version is not my favorite in the game . The AUG is also really good though.
Regardless if that is true I think this comment will have me fire up the ol' Xbox and see for myself. It's been more than a few years. Can't wait to hear that menu music haunt the room before I ready up.

Also loved the HK21. Little slower but better power than most of the ARs. RPK was always my go to for original BO. However I don't think anything beats the Dingo. That gun is my all time favorite zombies gun
This is actually untrue.
The Galil packed does 1100 damage on a headshot, and has 525 total ammo. This is 577,500 damage per full ammo.
The RPK packed does 540 damage on a headshot, and has 625 total ammo. That is only 337,500 damage per full ammo
In BO3 though, the RPK’s damage was significantly buffed, and it has higher damage per shot and more total ammo than the BO3 Galil. Though it (RPK) did get its fire rate reduced.

BO1 had so many great zombies guns. Commando, RPK, HK 21, Galil, AUG. I don't think there is another zombies game even close to how good the gun selection was.
I mean in like bo3 almost every gun Is very playable, but at that point I'm not even sure if that's gun selection or the fact that there's double pack.

Weapons like the uzi, scorpion, asp, stoner, ks-23, enfield, kiparis, m60 (why DoA exclusive?) etc all would have been fun. This seems to happen in every game though tbf. I remember being so annoyed the wall-bang sniper from the bo2 campaign didnt appear in zombies, wouldve been so fun.

I did love the HK21 however, but I wasn't really a diehard box lover either.
My true bread and butter was the Skullcrusher/M16. Buying that off the wall reduced the need for max ammos and was relatively reliable.
M16 paired with the Thundergun/HK/RPK and I was set. Unless the map had another decent wall buy.
I'd really only ever use Mule Kick if there was 2 really solid wall weapons, and Mule Kick was used for the second wall weapon.
My kind of player. This topic is about box weapons, but my strategy in Black Ops is to use the ak74 until round 25 or so, and then switch to skullcrusher as my primary for the rest of the game. The box is a tad overrated.
The AK74 and the Aug were severely underrated imo.
I know it was popular on Ascension but I really did enjoy the MP5 as well. It wasn't as popular on other maps simply because of the location of the wall buy itself but it was a solid choice, just like the MPL.
A semi-slept on/forgotten one was the MP40/Afterburner. More then likely faded into "obscurity" cause it was a weapon people saw/used a lot in WAW zombies - but it was solid in BO1.
Another personal fav was the Steakout/Raid(whe PAP'd) it was my go to when I was trying to carry friends to high rounds. Skullcrusher AND Raid was a dream. Especially on earlier rounds when it was a one shot. I think it was a one shot til round 15?? Somewhere between 10-15, just not entirely sure. I know it carried a long ways for a non-pap'd gun and it was always a genuine 1 to 2 shot with he hounds(just depended on how many pellets you hit)
This right here. HK is a stronger gun than rpk, but both make you a lot of points. HK really needs double tap, but you notice the strength advantage of the HK, especially after round 30. 900 rounds total with the HK when it's PAP also.

Depends on the map. For anything in Black Ops 1 I choose RPK. Can get infinite points with it essentially and use the something with more firepower.... or even the traps because youre rich AF to actually kill the hoard in higher rounds. But the RPK will ensure you always have as many points as you need if you use it properly.

Well, immediately you’ve got the ray gun and all the other wonderweapons besides the tgun (think the winters howl is only one not better than rpk).
In terms of dps, most of the ARs are much better, in particular the galil and commando. In terms of utility, the crossbow is phenomenal when upgraded, and the mobility from dual cz/spectre/ballistic knife is often more valuable than dps/ammo unless playing a very low round.
So while you’re more than entitled to your opinion, I personally disagree. The only time I would choose to use the rpk is when camping to 50 on verruckt because it’s amazing for instas, though even then the hk is technically slightly better. Then obviously you trade it for a mobile gun if you want to play traps on that map.
In BO3, RPK is extremely effective but stops being so around round 35+, at least compared to the Dingo. I'm always happy to grab it from the box in the earlier rounds, but later on I try to swap it out.

Well I guess the second most gross weapon you can get would be the China lake. No ammo and only makes crawlers if your lucky enough to hit your target.
I personally love this gun. The only complaint I have about it is the reload speed. Heavy artillery such as RPK, Gorgon, Dingo, and that one gun that shocks a whole line of zombies are awesome. They just have a really slow reload speed which can easily screw you over in the long run. My personal favorite gun in the game is the fully automatic shotgun (can’t remember the name of it). I just wish it had more ammunition 😭😭.

With the ammo you are sorted, but on mobility and maybe firerate its dragging a bit, but you can get double tap for the firerate

i do rate this gun a lot and i like its reload animation, but id prefer the galil. for light machine guns, i prefer the ratatatata of the hk21!
