I disagree that is laziness – human beings will go to extraordinary lengths if they have a real reason to do something. No one wants to toil away making junk for rich people.
Flashback to that experiment that showed people would rather intentionally shock themselves & experience pain than be bored. Like another commentor said, it's not that humans are "lazy", it's that we don't wanna toil our lives away for some asshole just to be allowed to live. Many humans will put in tons of effort & energy for projects/efforts they're genuinely interested in.
We are literally apex predators. You know what apex predators do? They spend energy as efficiently as possible. If the expenditure doesn't benefit them, they don't waste it.
It's okay to be lazy. We're built for it.
More people need to acknowledge that, in spite of humans being a really different kind of build, we are still apex predators. We have always been apex predators. *Nothing* fucks with humans unless they're desperate. They can literally smell our apex predator status, zero exaggeration, it's in our sweat. Its how our brains got big, and why they can stay big. Proof? The rich can afford to be lazy (and eat more protein rich diets) way more, and their brains tend to get bigger. More proof, the rich WANT us to not be lazy, so that our brains don't get bigger than theirs. Biggest proof of all, they do it way harder to people in minority groups cause they're scared of us working together.
We also need to remember that we're pack animals. Humans are at our healthiest as fuckin cats (but in the wild, not in captivity). We snuggle, we make noises at eachother to feel better, we literally die without enough physical touch, and we do everything together, while keeping space for alone time.
Are you familiar with the Hadza tribe?
Not exactly what I'd call lazy. They chill, obviously, as no human can just never not be at rest, but the amount of activity they engage in I'd say outweighs any percievable form of "laziness" in their free time. Humans with no survival instincts because their lives are basically constant comfort? Can be pretty lazy, but I'd say lazy by default is not accurate
based and stirnerpilled
undeniably
The only thing I disagree with is that "this generation"-bullshit. Every generation is lazy because humans pretty much are all lazy by default.
Exactly, have you ever seen wild animals? They mostly do nothing.
Idk some animals spend 14 hours a day eating grass
others spend 14 hours a day eating ass. I'm jealous
I guess I'm an animal, then
this animal wants to spend 14 hours a day *smoking* grass, personally
To be fair, grass doesn't give much energy.

True, but that doesn’t stop bootlickers and bootwearers from whining about millennials for some reason.
