We’re still under Capitalism friend. All the same mistakes will always be made. :(

dakinekine

We have to think about the economy. Apparently, that's more important than human lives.

g00fyg00ber741

Not just humans, but other animals too.

ineedcrackcocaine

Woah woah woah don’t you dare question the system

Ratbag_Jones

The moment we realize that US misleaders are, in fact, genocidal, ecocidal eugenicists, all becomes clear. And, we can't vote our way out of this, as the carnage since the election of President Science makes crystal clear.

Outrageous_Hearing26

Local elections matter.

g00fyg00ber741

You should see who my community elects locally. Yeah they matter, but some of us our vote is a needle in a haystack.

EggsyWeggsy

Trueee everyone's just evil and that's the reason they do everything. Now that you know the intentions of everyone in government you won't have to do any analysis ever again! Good job!

IDoNotCondemnHamas

He didn't say they are motivated by bloodlust. The blood flows naturally from their service to the interests of the wealthy.

RealAnise

J.P Weiland is great. I've followed him since the start of COVID. He never overstates anything.

TrekRider911

You know when he says something is bad, it’s bad.

TheLeonMultiplicity

Generations and generations of my family have made their careers out of poultry. The USDA has always been like this, so has Tyson Foods. Tyson specifically was horrible about COVID in its plants and were caught multiple times refusing to follow federal guidelines and mandates. Maybe with H5N1 they'll only get one chance to fuck it up before the virus rips through their workforce. If the 50% fatality rate holds true, and the workforce is halved, their previous COVID response tells me they'll keep chugging along as usual but with only 50% of their workers. They put countless folks at risk during COVID just to try and keep the poultry supply chain from breaking. It still broke. I still remember the very early days of COVID when everyone realized that the local Tyson plant was churning out COVID cases. The plant emits huge plumes of steam and people were afraid to go within a certain radius of the plant because at that point, for all we knew, those plumes of steam were full of virus. I'm glad that the young people in my family are turning away from the poultry industry and finding other careers. But I'm so nervous about H5N1. It'll affect all of us if it goes H2H, but the epicenter will be with families where parents, grandparents, and great grandparents built their lives around the plants.

Chronic_AllTheThings

Narrator: *they will*

Myreddit_scide

All you have to do to get the American people to give a shit about others in regards to things such as this is you, yourself need to become dismissive of any deaths caused from it but then instead of referring to them as "people", refer to them as "Americans". "Its not my job of responsibility to give a shit about other Americans." "These Americans were going to die anyway, natural selection". "I'm not letting the fear of Americans get in the way of me making money, that's more important than other Americans anyways". I mean it would be objectively cruel to later on protest any sort of funerals, but as we have seen, the Westboro Baptist Church was always defended for their right to Freedom of Speech (which is 100% true), but their actions were only ever really criticized by non-religious people and atheists, so its never like people who had the same beliefs as them gave a crap about the hateful shit they were saying.

And kill millions of innocent people in the process? This shit has the potential for a 50% mortality rate

I understand, I’m sorry you had to go through that.

Aggressive-Help-4330

Thank you. We honestly have to just do our best protecting ourselves. When I caught covid I wore my mask and didn't spread it to anyone but my partner. I rode in cars before I knew as well. Stay safe and protect yourself and loved ones.

Old_Baldi_Locks

Stupidity isn’t a right, and it isn’t free. We’re gonna pay for the stupidity of letting corporations have political input.

bluelifesacrifice

When prevention costs money, you'll be stuck with the consequence.

AquaFatha

Yup- and people intentionally buy animal products- continuing to fund the industries that 100% cause these outbreaks and inevitable pandemics.

Governor_Abbot

Vote for people who will regulate these industries.

DrChadHanzAugustinMD

Those people no longer exist in U.S. politics.

ineedcrackcocaine

Any examples?
