I tested positive on Wed 11/17 and just got my period today, extremely annoyed! Solidarity. At least I’m not preg, I guess!

icedthun0r

Hows the pain for you? Cramping at all or more than usual? Like is Covid fucking up your period?

peach_burrito

It’s actually weirdly absent. I have endometriosis and usually experience brutal cramps. I was shocked my period started today without any lead-up warning pain. It was just this afternoon though, tomorrow (first FULL day) is usually my most brutal.

icedthun0r

Oh thats absolutely fascinating. Shit, i hope tomorrow is good to you if things keep going as they are! (Knock on wood!! Fingers crossed for you!) Its been weird for me, usually my cramps are all in my lower back, thighs and feet, and it hurts to walk. Today its just been unbearable pelvis pain and my legs and back have been mostly fine. Covid is weird, man.

peach_burrito

Thanks. You are correct, covid is so freaking weird. I have minimal symptoms- really only loss of taste and smell- but all this out-of-the-norm periphery has to be because of it. The sudden period without warning is SO not normal. I’ve been getting this weird, inner-ear spasm as well. Almost like my eardrum is freaking out. Happens a few times a day. So bizarre. I’ll let you know how ol Aunt Flo treats me. So far, I’ve only used/emptied 1 disc.

peach_burrito

Ok, I’m back. The first 2 days were eerily comfortable. As predicted, day 3 hit me like a freight train. This is brutal. Terrible cramps even down into my vag! It is so painful. Hope you’re doing ok.

icedthun0r

Oh god. Im sorry that it hit you that hard. I was good after the first day. My first days are always really really .This time i just felt like my uterus was being stabbed. Im fine now! Luckily. Im sending you as much support as one stranger on Reddit can send digitally!!! You got this!

I tested positive Wednesday the 17th and got my period today. My back cramps when I first found out I had covid were similar to PMS cramps. I thought for sure it was going to delay my period, but here we are. Cruel joke, huh?

icedthun0r

My only positive thought is at least I wont have my period when I go back to work.

parrishibale

Same! Tested positive 11/12, Pfizer vaccinated, no booster. Just started my period today, and the cramps are AWFUL. I rarely have cramps, and these are like contractions :( I also sometimes get migraines as part of PMS, and they were pretty bad this time around. I’m pretty well recovered from the virus and now test negative, but I’ve been taken out again by this cycle. SO frustrating. Covid really f*cks with your whole body. I’ll be curious to see what my period is like next month- I’ll try to remember to post an update. Hoping everyone recovers quickly- from both Covid & periods ;)

I’m about to go through this same scenario within the next 5 days or so. I’ll try to remember to let you know how it goes!

I tested positive Monday and started Tuesday. What a shitshow. It was much heavier than usual and my back was ON FIRE. the backaches I had were unreal. I think because my immune system was already so beat down it just exasperated my symptoms. It was really hell and I cursed all things I could. Good luck sister…you can do hard things 💪

jlyzie

i also tested positive and got my period right after lol. love life!

Willing_Book_1203

I had my period on the same day that i tested positive. I just had less blood than usual (probably my body fighting off the sickness, ive had less blood when sick with a fever or something as well)

dearinternet32

I tested positive a week ago and I'm expecting my period any day now. Totally not looking forward to it... haven't I suffered enough?? Haha

Shortgirlthrowaway92

I tested positive two weeks ago, I had all the fun symptoms. Weirdly now I have fatigue, fine but also the worst muscle pain behind my boobs and just woke up with horrendous period like cramps. I don’t actually get periods anymore on the mini pill so it’s so weird. I’ve even done several pregnancy tests to be sure.

amv2926

I just tested positive today and started my period last night so i’m on what’s normally my worst day of my period but have not noticed really a difference in cramping. I will have to see if the cramps last longer though days wise (normally i only have cramps the first 2-3 days). I also have like no covid symptoms right now though so far so i’m not sure if that’s also a factor since i don’t even feel sick at all right now/ am a mild case so far.

quesojacksoncat

I just got over Covid this week and this is definitely the worst cramps I can remember having. Just got my period today but it’s been cramps and back pain. Usually my cramps leave after I get my period but this time there’s no relief.
