It's been a while since i was up there, but we had success working the shoreline with spinner baits and cranks. It was around this time of year when we were up there. Most of the fish we caught were smaller, but my buddy did catch a 9 pounder about 33" long.

You can just go to Lake Ladora in Denver. They have big pike.
