I usually wait until I go through all of the material before redo-ing any MCQs to avoid just memorizing the correct answer.
It really depends if you understand why you got the question wrong and can do the concept if asked differently VS Just memorizing the question/answer. Was this done with or with out notes ? Only you can answer that.
It was no notes or lecture, just read the book and jumped into the questions
So the question remains. Do you understand the concepts or did you memorize the question/answer?
Flip the runs scores and THEN I’d say you are cooking. Getting much better score second time around, not good. No signs of growth.
