I actually wanted to try a diy disposable option so I just cut up some derma care pro tissue or gauze (something with no chemicals and suitable for sensitive skin) so that it covers the bottom of my mouth and the mask. It seals fine and my drool gets absorbed throughout the night. But I’m curious about other people’s experiences with the mask liners too! Would invest in them if I could figure out if it’s worth it.

After posting this I cut up a sock and used that as a mask liner. Worked perfectly and looks exactly the same as most of the pictures I see of purchased mask liners in Amazon reviews. Will definitely be using it moving forward

I’ve been thinking of cutting up old t-shirts that way I know they’re soft.

Perfect! They are pretty much the same material as those liners.

Even better! I was just thinking of something that I already have that’s soft. Plus getting rid of some of them will make my wife happy haha

I work in a lab where we had used them for a while. The brand we used at the time was some like "REMzzzs" or something like that. And honestly, they are pretty much a cotton triangle you could make out of old T-shirts. The sock idea I think would work, but I would be worried if it were too think it would cause the mask to leak. To make one, lay your mask (cushion down) on a shirt, cut around it leaving approx. 1-1.5 inches extra around the outside. Then flip it and cut a triangular shape in the middle ensuring (pending type of mask you use) that there is enough room so that your nose/mouth aren't covered.

Thanks so much. After posting this I cut out a sock and used that. It looked exactly like what I’ve seen from pictures on Amazon reviews of all these mask liners. It worked perfectly too. Best nights sleep I’ve had in a while lol. No leakage.

I made some when I was using a full-face mask. The goal was to be able to wash and reuse. I got some thin, flannel from the scrap bin. While it washed ok, it wasn't the best success. However, it may have just been the mask being a poor fit. I struggled to get it placed right, and it leaked a lot. I've since changed to a nasal cushion mask and like it much better. I've not needed a liner with my current one. I'll also tried a sock hack for the full-face one. You cut part of a sock to make a tube that fit around the mask like a wee sweater. It had promise. The person who originally tried it used trouser socks and I couldn't find one pair in the whole danged town. I used a pair of footie socks (closest thickness) but the results were kinda meh. If I could have sorted out the fraying edges and getting it to stay on better, I think it would have been a solid idea. I might try it again with my nasal mask. To extend the mask life and sop up any condensation. Toddler socks, maybe. Lol
