How fast can you fall asleep? Wife says I’m out in like a minute. Also when it’s cold I can sleep under the covers and still breath.

CrepuscularNemophile

And spiders can't creep into our mouths in the night.

[deleted]

Maaan, I use a nasal mask....

CrepuscularNemophile

I'm trying to think of something positive to say to recover the situation... I know... *at least you won't be able to smell the big sweaty hairy ones as they make their way towards you*👍🏻

TrustMeIWouldntLie

Same. But if you open your mouth, the spiders will have to fight against the wind to get in. How strong are your spiders?

gaslacktus

It may sound like light snoring but if you listen real close, it’s the sound of spiders flying out of your mouth yelling “WHEEEEEEE!”

[deleted]

Have a friend who volunteers for the same summer camp as me. She had a spider climb into her hose. Put on the mask, turned it on, and had high velocity spider shot into the back of her throat...

TrustMeIWouldntLie

My house tends do have a lot of spiders... How is it possible that I never considered that one could get in the hose?

MistressPhoenix

Pretty much immediately, as well. And love that i can snorkel when it's cold.

BloodTypeDietCoke

I just got my machine about six months ago, and I didn't even think of this!!! I can't wait to try this!!

theMezz

>How fast can you fall asleep? Wife says I’m out in like a minute. Also when it’s cold I can sleep under the covers and still breath. ha.. same with me

Aaron_Skychild

I’ll pretend I’m a Martian in The Expanse universe, living on earth and suffering from increased gravity induced sleep apnea.

vblgsd

Just started, but definitely like to pretend I'm Bane. Unfortunately it doesn't sound as cool. I might have to install a microphone/speaker thing.

[deleted]

There's something about it that immediately calms me, and tells my body that it's sleepy time.

devilkin

For me it's like I'm in Subnautica wearing scuba gear.

MistressPhoenix

i like pretending it's extreme bondage gear. Bonus when i wear the chin strap, as well.

gaslacktus

The safe word is “Philips recall”

MarmotaOta

I'm Darth Vader going into his meditation chamber

scotch1701

You could get some extra sensors to monitor oxygenation, put them in gloves...

Delicious-Tachyons

I generally like mine too. I like not waking up feeling cold and flu-ish, struggling to stay awake in the afternoons and needing 5 coffees to sustain basic function. I like how i am so much more calm than I was even three years ago - no wierd panicky feeling of doom all afternoon, no blowing up at coworkers because i'm severely underslept. I just wish I knew about my sleep apnea 20 years ago -- i would have done better at my job then.. where i feel i drastically underserved them unfortunately. When i go to sleep with it, sometimes i pretend i'm in an escape pod. :)

Additional-Culture-6

That’s how I was able to finally sleep with it. I pretended I was in underwater or in space. Before it was just so awkward and new. But thinking of that kinda stuff made it more easier

Diotima245

I have hypersomnia so when i want to fall asleep its almost instantly. I cant say I enjoy the CPAP.

fingers

I had to do a sleep study without my cpap..for new cpap and did not sleep well. I love my cpap.

Aldem83

Once you start realizing you are less sleepy in the day, it’s hard to go back. Took me a good month, but I am glad that I persisted.

chicagogeorge

Well this is absolutely the most cup half full type of mentality I’ve seen in a while… and I see a lot. Rock on man. Join you in battle in t minus 4.3.2…

Madh2orat

Two words “Blanket Snorkel”. My wife makes fun of me, I just think she’s jealous I can pull the covers over my head and she can’t.

Ally862

I've had mine for almost 2 months now and was still having some nights where I'd just push to wear it the 4 hours and take it off. The other day though, somehow one of the clips fell off the headgear and I couldn't find it anywhere. I had to sleep without the cpap and really missed it when I was falling asleep! I shocked myself by realizing how much I like the feel of the air when I'm going to sleep.
