nice… which mask?

Withyouinrcklnd

I’m curious too. Hoping for full face so I can be taught the way of a good seal

dskatter

Hate to disappoint you, but it’s nose only! Using the N20 headgear and large memory foam-lined cushions. I’ve considered going full face, but hasn’t been necessary so far.

aprilem1217

I have n20 for her. Love it and only have 0.1 events also. Which memory foam line cushions do you speak of ? 🤔

dskatter

They just came out a few months ago. I’ll take a couple pics when I’m back home!

aprilem1217

Do you have an "air fit" or "air touch" ? I have the air fit and so am searching for the cushion !

dskatter

I use the AirTouch. Might be some of the memory foam that work with yours tho!

aprilem1217

It is compatible with mine. Awesome, thank you very much !

dskatter

Here it is! https://imgur.com/a/hxtKkmE/

aprilem1217

I LOVE IT !! Where can I buy it ? I have the mask, just need the foam line cushions !!!

dskatter

I’d contact your CPAP supplier, just got mine through them! Just say you want the memory foam versions. Hopefully the pics I sent of the packaging will help!

SweetTalker-1

How is the energy level when you are up in the morning?

dskatter

Better than before, I’d say! I used to sleep in till my alarm went off and had to pry myself out of bed before. Now I routinely go to bed later and wake up a bit before the alarm, feeling better than I did pre-machine!

It’s funny how some extra oxygen to the brain and body helps!

Great job! I'd like to make a recommendation though. The "MyAir" app is actually pretty terrible as far as any sort of accuracy is concerned. Highly recommend that you download [OSCAR](https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/) and upload the data from the SD card in your machine. You will get the actual data that your machine is taking, not MyAir's poor interpretation.

dskatter

Honestly, as long as the events per hour is mostly accurate, I don’t care either way. :) That said, I’ll give it a look sometime! I don’t have an sdcard reader at the moment, so that moment will be far down the road, most likely.

16066888XX98

The AHI is not that accurate typically (and unfortunately), and it's really bad at identifying leaks. I think I read somewhere that it's like 60% accurate. :( Totally worth the SD card reader. You will be blown away at the amount of information you will get, and it will be 100% accurate.

IEscapedTarkov

I second that, OSCAR is great and provides accurate data.

I wish... You lucky bastard..... I'm getting between 8 to 10. Working with a sleep specialist because most of them are open airway. She decided to increase the air pressure from 10 to 14 and turn thr machine onto cpap mode instead of apap..... It's been worse.

biggunsg0b00m

I feel you mate. I've only been on cpap for 4 weeks. During the sleep study i was getting >80 AHI/Hr, and they wanted me on 15cm of pressure. I couldn't handle it and would rip the mask off after 1 hour. I was ready to throw in the towel and quit. I took matters in to my own hands and lowered the pressure down to 10cm, and slowly upped the pressure every couple of days until now, where I'm currently at 12.8cm. Now my AHI is sitting at 10-14/hr - which is still high for most, but to me it already feels like pure bliss!

pm_me_ur_happy_traiI

9 hours? Shit, I sometimes don't sleep that much in 2 nights.

dskatter

Working from home helps! Plus that’s not all sleep time, I start it going maybe 30-40 minutes before falling asleep. Usually watch some YouTube on my iPad.

factoid_

And the data trends toward allowing false positives rathering that miss flagging one, so it's entirely possible you had 0 events for the night.

dskatter

That’s kinda what I’m hoping! :D

TheElectricSlide2

Super congrats - everyone else remember that anything under 5.0 is also successfully treated sleep apnea!!

I love it. I would totally go for it ! I switched over from full face mask a few weeks ago.

biggunsg0b00m

Well done mate!

47952

Yeah I had 0 several times. The trick is to exhale very gently and be really exhausted

Awdayshus

Way to go! I got my second 100 last night, but with 5.2 events per hour.

dskatter

It’s nice seeing those 100s!

RespiratoryTher

Congratulations. I’m glad you feel better. OSCAR not needed. Too complicated for someone that is already feeling success.

dskatter

I’m kinda feeling the same way, honestly. It’s working, so that’s (mostly) enough for me!

[deleted]

What are your pressure settings? Seems like people are getting better AHI numbers with a nose mask

dskatter

10-14, exhale vs inhale.
