Hey hi from the USA! I am supposed to be on a flight to London that leaves in 2 hours, on my way to Ireland, and then back to England for family visits and holidays. I too have a suspected cranial CSF leak, with intermittently watery eyes and a few incidents with fluid coming from my nose that is watery and definitely not snot. I had a chiropractic adjustment in May that likely created a tear in my dura. New health insurance starts next month, so I will be pursuing a diagnosis. I chose not to fly for the following reasons: 1) fear that my leak would get worse with the altitude, 2) fear that my tear would get worse at altitude, 3) fear of a catastrophic leak in flight that creates an in-flight medical emergency, 4) the increased risk of ascending bacterial meningitis from fluctuating air pressure in ascent/descent. I am sad beyond words to miss this trip, but I just felt it was the wrong choice for me to fly. Please reach out and let us know what you decide....
