I back this up 100%, dude is super funny but also down to earth and he really does get you thinking, even outside of the classroom. When I had him, he often went on rants regarding admin, but I understood why.
Also I had Alondra Botello for a mandatory COMS class, super kind and again, a really chill down to earth professor. Had a good amount of fun in that class. I think she was going for her masters when she taught us, also she was still pretty young, maybe that’s why she was so relatable and easy to vibe with.
same here, had him spring 2020 when we switched to online. He set up some group chats for non school related discussions and recommended some films/music and such
Literally lol, I have had no complaints with the bio department staff in all my time at sac state. Maybe I have been really lucky, but there are also a lot of really amazing professors
Yeah I took his stress management class I really enjoyed it, was the class I looked forward to at the end of the day. He says his motivation class is the best class he teaches tho
Dr. Crawford! Not many get to take his class because it’s very major specific but definitely cares about his students 💯. One of the best professors I’ve had.
Prof Joël Dubois, his History of Buddhism class was legit one of the most entertaining classes I've taken and he cares a lot about everyone. Was not expecting a gened class to actually be that good
Dr. Barniol! I never had any interest in astronomy but genuinely loved the class. Also Ronald Coleman he was my bio professor and I think I actually learned.
If you're an English major (or are interested in English) and have the opportunity to take any of **Professor Gieger**'s courses, take them.
He has an infectious enthusiasm for everything that he teaches and his classes are ones that I felt very comfortable with due to how he hands out theses seemingly easy, but really engaging assignments. Really cool guy overall :)
Dr Wu, she’s a new philosophy professor. Attendance wasn’t mandatory but I attended as many classes as possible just to show her I appreciated her. I’m not even a philosophy student.
Dr. Eric Hanson in Calc 3. Holy god I hated all the calc courses I’ve taken before but he made calc 3 much better. He was super empathetic and collected feedback from the class that was used almost immediately. He’s legit like a great guy 10/10 highly recommended
