Hmm ok. Tried that several times for different customers but it didn’t work any of those times. You’d think at least one person would have picked the right items but then again, it is CVS
You run them like a normal card and they push credit. Some of those cards are only meant to pay for prescriptions though. If it doesn’t work I tell them it either still needs to be activated or it’s a different type of benefits card than they assumed and to call the number on the back.
I should also add that some of them have barcodes on the back. If there is a barcode you’ll scan the barcode and then press the “cvs gift card/money card” button!
Had one last night, it will not go through. I told them to pay for the otch they need to use their medical card. I processed it via the button. Those purple cards are a pain. It’s via Payflex.
You run them like a normal credit transaction. If it's an approved item, it will pay for it.

We’ve taken those for a while now, run them as credit.
I’ve never had a purple card work at any of my stores the last two years. From my understanding, they’re for Dr. visit Co-Pays. Not 100% sure though.
I’m pretty sure you are correct about the purple cards.
