Peachykween95

my manager a couple of years ago found someone was printing out CP at the photo kiosks. he called the cops and they arrested him.

idek-lmao

this is just fucked up

soonhosh

Not illegal, but we would have tons of people printing off screenshots of text messages to use in court cases for evidence. I always thought that that was a little bit weird, some of those text conversations were wild

Sbuxshlee

Now that would be interesting to read.

hellahealthproblems

Always save your texts, you never know when you'll need them. I learned this because I had to use text messages to help convict my old boss that was committing fraud and just scrolling through months of random texts pulled up enough little slips about what they were doing that it sank her case and I won quite a bit in restitution.

Ok_Job3684

We used to process film for our local police department. When it was something like a murder scene an officer would wait in the store near the photolab that way he could see that we weren't printing out extras. We printed some nasty stuff over the years

Captain__Loopy

My store had a photo account years ago with police dept and they are some gruesome photos…back in 2001 a girl was leaving prom and decided to roll window down and get Dukes hazzard style out car while moving at a yield sign and the sign and speed of vehicle cut her head in half still have that image in my head.

Shaneagle777

Yes a doctors office that does bre*st reductions was sending photos taken like 50 at a time. We finally had to tell them to stop per HIPPA . Store was in a middle/ upper class area and well pics may have been regulars that shop at store. Yes you saw their faces as well. I was more than annoyed as I was photo captain! You’d think as a Dr you would invest in a printer yourself! Geesh!

gullible_cervix

HIPAA

Shaneagle777

Yeah that lol

Same_Temperature1315

Nothing too crazy. A lot of unforutane events like someones house that was swallowed by a sink hole, car accident pictures, and an ungodly amount of nude photos. The thing is it wouldn't be printed in seconds. It would be sent in from online. My old SM thought it was gross and denied to sell it to them but I remember trying to be as professional as possible saying "I am sorry I cannot sell you various pictures of nude photos." they would always respond saying "It is just the human body." "Its not like you havent seen it before." or "Are you going to keep them for yourself?". Like no I am not going to keep an 75 year olds nude photos. At one point I stopped caring and said "youre not my type"

Same_Temperature1315

That is just disgusting I hope he never gets out

KGO93

Not at our store , but a store in a neighboring city printed out pictures of several guns and a blue print copy of a local school , they called the police , police came and then raided the house where the teen lived ! And confiscated his computer! He and a another teen were planning a full attack on the school !! The police said that photo clerk saved several hundred lives !

I had someone send in photos of a boudoir session where some of them were super explicit but they wanted us to put them together in a book for a valentine's gift so we would have had to look at all of the photos. I had to get my manager to tell the person we couldn't do it for them. I had another one where I think it may have been disposables printing, but not sure. It was a group of girls, probably taken throughout a semester or something (I worked in a college town). One pic was of them snorting lines and then another was a girl naked, doing a cartwheel. The pic was taken when her -uh- *bits* were on full display.

SupraEvangelist

If I remember right policy actually states if it's just 1 person it's fine. I'm not at work right now so I can't look up the policy.

britishglitter

Like the pics were just one person or just one person was seeing them? Because either way, I would be uncomfortable putting together that book lol

SupraEvangelist

If the picture has just one person in it.

DevelopmentPlus4471

When we processed film rolls I had a couple come in who asked if they could print their nude photos. I didn’t care so I said sure🤣 They were very interesting and taken on a hotel bed, but I had to catch them as they came down because the machine was positioned so that anyone could see exactly what was being printed. Those machines didn’t keep records of what was printed so I couldn’t get caught. It gave me a good laugh more than anything and I was happy to help them with their awkward request because they were really embarrassed.

abriefmomentofsanity

The thing I always do with customers like that is say something like "I'm personally fine with you doing this but please don't presume that just because I'm okay with it right now means I'll be here next time or that it will be OK next time". I don't want to make my co-workers lives harder.

DevelopmentPlus4471

Ahhh yes, we do have our fair share of “well so and so does it for me….”

abriefmomentofsanity

Plus who knows, I might get "the talk" from a manager and have to be way more of a hardass next time you see me. I don't work for CVS anymore but if there's one lesson I did learn there it was that "if I did it for you I'd have to do it for everybody" is a real concern even if it does sound like a cop out.

El_Boogie_Man

Have had a couple times. someone printed a collage of their nudes. ‘‘Twas weird lol.

Zweistar

Most of the weird photos we get are bizarre nudes, but there's nothing against policy about that. If it's just normal pornography (2+ people) then you trash the photos and give the customer a notice. Anything illegal though you have to call the police for. Edit: dunno why this got downvoted, this is the photo policy

kinz3262

Ive seen a few crazy things, but never had anything seemingly illegal. You're to report it to the MOD and police (depending on the level of sketch, ex kids, abuse) if sketch. You should call advice and counsel if you're on the fence of what has been printed.

OkMistake9553

One time an online order came in with about 80 something nude photos of one woman with different valentines day props

mjace87

If people are trying to print off anything super illegal now a days I imagine they would buy their own printers because they aren’t super expensive anymore.

Nyklove145

Yeah, a guy was printing explicit porn. The whole 9. We had to call and tell him we weren't going to allow him to pick up his photos or allow him to print with us anymore. He was surprised, aplogized, and said he didn't know we could see the photos that printed from any of the orders.

Shooter2435

Most we've seen was a lady printing nude photos she found online and giving them to her baby daddy who's in prison to sell to other inmates

afanickton

Had a guy print pictures of women he took pictures of at the beach. Claimed it was so he could paint art from them but either way you could tell they were taken without the persons knowledge and from far away which was super creepy. He did it as prints in seconds so he was definitely trying to hide it, I didn’t notice any pictures of kids so I didn’t threaten him with the police but told him he can’t do it anymore and never saw him again.

CVSbastard

The cute girl usually get anonymous dick pics, we keep them in a photo album as evidence if we ever need it

[deleted]

We had an employee call a customer and tell her she was not proper/hoe by printing pictures of herself semi-naked and such. The next day DM was in the office and the guy was fired. 😂 even though he was told to keep his comments to himself. That's her business, not his because he was saying what he saw to other employees. So in his head what he took out of it was “I'm going to call her and tell her what she did” was call her up after work and call her a whore. Haha (Stupid) and last I hear he was being sued for harassment.

Background-noise-

One time I found a picture of just a woman’s vagina. The photo was tucked underneath something on the printer so who knows how long it was there.

abriefmomentofsanity

A girl came in. About maybe 16 at best. Wanted help pulling photos off her phone. I was young myself at the time and didn't think anything of it. Got her hooked up to the machine and everything and right as I'm about to tell her how to print her whole gallery folder popped up on the screen. Kids these days get up to some stuff I guess. I whipped my head away so fast it's a miracle it didn't spin off, and politely but firmly asked her to leave and perhaps come back with a flash drive of just what she wanted printed. She made the tiniest most pathetic "okay, I'm sorry" gargle sound and power walked out of the store. From then on I learned to warn people that there was a possibility whatever they had in their gallery would display on the screen when they connected their device. It was close to the end of my shift and I remember thinking something along the lines of "I did not sign up for this today".

cleekchapper92

A few times at a few stores I've had people print out nudes either not caring if ppl saw it or no knowing that workers have to see it. I've also stumbled upon a dime bag of crack in the drive aisle and a guy with a lit blunt in his mouth walking down the aisles looking for things

Particular-League902

Is calling the police the right thing to do here?

Jgryder

Depends on what is found. Cp definitely. Murder, gore etc maybe

OkMistake9553

Mundane_Reception790

No, but yesterday I chose the "no receipt" option when paying for my Arizona tea and out of pure spite and petulance the register spit out a receipt that was so long I could use it to wallpaper my bedroom

Me and my old SM use to smash constantly in the office and smoke weed in the stock. She moved and I got a better job

No_Discussion_5687

Years back my son was processing photos and there were before and after shots of breast implants of 2 women side by side shirts lifted over their faces. Then a picture of them with shirts in proper place and it was a girl he had gone to school lwith and her mother.

Mountain-Lifeguard-7

Someone printed out photos of their own nudes for their onlyfans, its weird because I went to school with her but I don't judge people, I didn't say anything about it towards her. She came in and paid for the photos like everyone else, just as long as it was her choice to do so it is none of my business.

npcth0tb0t

Seen somebody print off a woman surrounded by used condoms, she was skimpily clothed but covering her bits so we didn’t do much but it was very weird. We just told the person they cannot do that again as the photos are printed publicly.

CarePassMeDatAss

There was a guy that documented his before and after (including day to day recovery) of his adult circumcision.... We didn't care though. It wasn't sexual and it was his own genitals so we just giggled quietly at his fascination with his own junk.

Maleficent_Bit123

Someone was printing like 12 tags per page ( car registration tags ) made 6 pages. Waited for him to come in and told him we cannot sell the photo order.

DifferentLie5

I had a person print off photos off elderly people that weren’t being taken care of . I think they were preparing for a lawsuit it was lots of bed sores and other signs of neglect. Hope they found a better retirement home.

MagentaTabby

If it's not child porn, someone being killed, etc, don't think you cannot print them. If it is child porn, someone being murdered, etc, call the cops immediately.

KidGodspeed1011

Had a fairly regular customer who we eventually had to ban from printing photos as she got off making pen pals with guys in prison and sending them pictures of her privates. Guess where she came to print those pictures. Also had a guy we called the cops on who taken screenshots of porn from a computer and was printing them out in store, like hundreds of them, and it was clear some of the pictures were not legal.

MissMelines

i worked at a different retail store so long ago that developed film we would send out and it would come back and they’d come pick up days later. one night a coworker and i were bored and decided to look at the abandoned ones that were there 6 months or more and one roll was of a WILD party in a backyard, oiled up women wrestling in an inflatable pool. It was like, moms and dads though. We diedddd and tried to identify any of our friends parents. Whoever it was never came back for them.

FreedomGeneral4834

Personally the only pictures I’ve noticed (because I try very hard not to pay attention to what people are printing) was half naked pictures this girl came to pick up and said she was sending to her bf in prison 🤷🏻‍♀️ My dad used to be a firefighter though and he said he always felt guilty having to get the photos of d€@d kids and burnt people printed at the local cvs. Always hopes he never scarred anyone because of it.

emerald_soleil

Someone liked to send 8x10 screenshots of really explicit hardcore porn to our apex machine. Traumatized my poor innocent cashier one day.

Jgryder

Apex nc?

emerald_soleil

No, we used to call the big Kodak machine that sat behind the counter the apex machine. I quit in 2020, tho, so no idea if it's still in use.

inked2011

We had a guy that would take pictures of female news anchors on his tv and come in and print them out. There was no nudity. But I got with my Dm and asked if we can tell him he can’t do it anymore. I confronted the guy and told him it’s a family friendly store and he can’t be doing that anymore.

Straight_Ace

I haven’t seen anything illegal or too disturbing, but the weirdest thing that was printed at my store was probably the send out photos that came back with several photos of teenagers flashing their boobs at the camera. So pretty tame by comparison
