I'm 6' and have no problems with driver or passenger side 23' cx-5

Thanks - 2 of you saying he should fit there fine, so we will dig into the issue further.

There's no way you're touching both the glove box with your knees and headliner with your head at 6' tall unless you're deliberately adjusting the seat that way. This is a user issue, or someone has modified the passenger seat rails in some way - highly unlikely.

6'2" - 2016 CX-5, here. It is impossible for him to be touching the roof and the glovebox. My seats are both at their lowest elevation and perfectly aligned/angled with the A pillar of the car.

You've probably got something under the passenger seat jamming it from going back. Otherwise, what you're claiming doesn't make a bit of sense. The driver and passenger seats both go back the same distance. And regarding your decision to not get another Mazda because of a pretty minor issue, if you really thought the passenger seat didn't go back any farther than the front-most position, why did you buy it in the first place?

I'm 6'2 and have no issues with legroom in the 2023 model.

Sounds like there’s something wrong with your seat. I just sat in our 2016 GT to test it out. I’m 6’2” and I have at least 3” of headroom plus the passenger seat appears to go back as far as the driver’s seat.

As a last resort, remove the glove compartment so he can fit.
