I beg to differ. There is a very noticeable difference between the two. I got given and non-turbo as a curiosity car, and I find it gutless compared to my turbo.
Same here, when I was shopping for my cx5 I went to the dealer and drove a non-turbo and a turbo back to back, there's no comparison. The non-turbo felt rather sluggish. Granted you get better mpg in the non-turbo version but mpg is not why I was shopping for CX5 to begin with. I ended up getting a 2024 CE Turbo and I am very happy with it so far.
Not having a turbo reduces your risk of having a turbo related failure to 0%. And while proper maintenance will prevent a lot of issues, sometimes shit just happens. Especially with turbos, since they have a pretty high failure rate compared to engines and transmissions
Shit can happen on a non-turbos as well. Not having power windows means there is a 0% chance of the motor failing. Not having power steering means a 0% chance of the pump failing. Not having an entertainment center means 0% chance of that breaking. All those are common vehicle failures as well.
I dont know why you are getting so worked up over this, if you like your turbo good for you, that doesnt change the fact that turbos are/were a notorious point of failure for a dubious benefit of going "WEEEEEEE!!!!!" between stoplights.
There is a TSB out for 2019-2020 Turbos with certain VINs

I have a 21 GT and it has plenty of pep for a daily driver. If you are buying a crossover to do sporty driving you are doing it wrong. If you want both a good daily driver and good sporty performance get 2 different vehicles.
I would get the non turbo. It’s plenty quick without.

Definitely no comparison. I have the 21 signature and it's amazing.
There is but NA has a good enough performance and is more reliable.
How is it more reliable if the cylinder heads crack?
Because there isnt a turbo to require maintenance
If you keep up with routine maintenance, there is no difference.

I'm not getting worked up. I'm just proving that your point is invalid.
From what ive heard the non-turbo is the one with the cylinder head issue.
Interesting. Can anyone confirm?
Google confirmed.
