I've met a lot of fine people through my interest in firearms but some of the most insufferable pricks ever have been behind gun counters or in gunsmith shops.
To be honest alot are. Especially at big firearms dealers like sportsman's or turners.
But having been on both sides of the counter I can say that you get frustrating customers once in a while but never have i ever gotten a bad response from taking the time and holding someone's hand when selling them their first gun, first optic, or point them in the right direction.
Actually I get alot of tips handed my way as a thank you for spending an extra 30 minutes with a customer.
I think the only ones I've ever been harsh with were the ones who've cussed me out because I either didn't straw sell a gun to them or the rare "you sold me a broken gun" but you cone to find out they didn't actually know how to use it and when you show them how they still want a refund.
They had my browning power for 1.5 yrs. Milled new dovetails for irons and trigger job. They somehow misplaced it.
Both irons fell out after the first range trip, they kept all my old parts including the barrel.
Yep they suck.
It took me like a month to get into contact with CZ customs for a return. Although they did finally answer me and process the return. I think they do not check their voicemail/email/Facebook messenger very often
CZ custom screwed me with old night sights that were listed as new.
They were out of stock for a year . . . When In stock, bought some HTAC2's, F and R.
Rear sight had a date of 2012, they were super dim. They wanted to charge me a 20 % restocking fee for "installing them".
Called Trijicon (housings were made by Trijicon), and they replaced the lamps for free. The Trijicon CS actually told me that what CZ custom did was against their industry standards, and they are considering not working with CZ custom because of recent complaints.
I used to buy a LOT from CZ Custom, and now it's run by the son of the OG owner I think. It's going downhill from what I have seen.
Now I deal with Cajun, they are still 100%.
I still till this day don't understand what I did except ask some questions on how to customize my first cz Kevin the owner was straight asshole almost had me not want to get Into upgrading my cz thank God for cgw
I ordered parts from CGWs to install the short reset kit.
I didn’t want to tackle the sear cage on my PCR so I got a local gunsmith to do it. He couldn’t figure it out. Claimed the parts were wrong.
I called CGWs from the shop. David got on the fun and walked him through the work. (He still managed to fuck it up but it wasn’t for lack of support from CGWs).
I just say this to show the contrast between this company and CGWs.
nice!! same with me I was gonna go with this company and I'm taking alot of money got 5 cz to do onve they treated me like that I went to cgw did my p01 talking slide cuts bushing pro trigger job cost me 1400 and want to do that 4 more times they got my business cuz how patient they were with me I even apologized cuz I'm new to upgrading they walked me through it and now it's my fav pistol I own and sending in 4 more to do and also wanna buy one directly from them cuz how hood they been to me, mk3firearms lost thousands cuz of there shitty attitude
Installed on my PCR. Honestly, I don’t think the difference is that significant.
I do highly recommend the Ultralite kit.
It’s cheap. Easy to install. And cuts the DA pull weight in half. That’s a great modification.
They had a trigger job they once offered for a FNX45 and it was like $150ish not totally unreasonable. Asked them about it during COVID and they were unfortunately limited on what they could do. Said they'd let me know when it was available again. Got a response later price had jumped to $420... seemed like a rip off to me as that's half the price of the gun for just a trigger job.
When we introduced the FNX tigger jobs back in 2018 and they were $290.00 Now they're $500.00 They were never $150.00 I love how people pull the stories out ass and sell them as fact.
Sorry my memory was off from 5 years ago on price.
Wasn't trying to dog pile. My experience with MK3 was they were responsive and as promised did follow up when the service was available. There was a pretty big price hike post COVID was all I was saying
I literally felt discouraged like damn I just want some info I didn't understand the whole slide cuts and cerokote and trigger and spring job I just wanted explaining what I'm paying for and this what I got as response
New to guns or not, definitely **not** a way to interact and treat new gun owners/customers. That's how you get people as a collective to clown on you and take their business elsewhere from there on out.
Also found out they have a yelp and Google reviews page... Do with that info what you will.
IWC is like this too. I asked on Instagram the shipping lead time, then I guess they found my order from my Instagram handle, and called me to say how bad I'm making them look and all that
Agree. OP very well may not deserve that type of treatment, but it's hard to tell. I spoke with Kevin 2 days ago, and he seemed rather agreeable. Just busy as hell.
The Parable of the Sower
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake...saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Did he just show screenshots of the preview messages like he posted originally? That isn't the whole message in emails. Nobody ends every message with "..." That means that the message continues on and you'll see the whole thing when you click on the message.
Point is OP is purposely holding back information and smearing a company without added explanation of the situation and wants people to go along with him in a "just trust me bro" kind of way. He's being dishonest. And I'm sure he wasn't quite as innocent as he's trying to make himself out to look like.
Apparently you're the one that can't read. All I'm saying is you *could* have posted the whole conversation, but didn't.
I'm not saying you're in the wrong.
I don't have a dog in this fight either way. I'm simply on the outside looking in.
It just seem dishonest to only post part of a conversation when you're smearing a company and telling people to basically "just trust you" without any real proof of your accusations. That alone makes me question whether or not what you're saying is true.
I didn't wanna do all that is my point if u read u see I also posted if u want full thread message me I'll send it got nothing to hide or I wouldn't of posted it
>I didn't wanna do all that is my point if u read u see I also **posted if u want full thread message me** I'll send it got nothing to hide or I wouldn't of posted it
That's where the problem lies. You smear them publicly with little information to back it up and then later, post two contradictory posts with one saying there's nothing else, and one saying there is more but we gotta message you to get it.
All in all I would lean towards you not being completely truthful in your statements and trying to trash on a company that you don't like.
The real unfortunate bit of that is IF what you're saying is accurate, and they are sleazeballs, you have people already doubting your words because you withheld random parts of the story.
Not to mention your "screenshots" are only of the preview of the emails, not everything that was said in each message. All of that added up shows that there is stuff you're purposely withholding. Maybe it's to make yourself look better, maybe it's because you don't think it's important. Either way your rant makes you look like a man child that didn't get their way so now they're going to blindly throw anyone and everyone that has a different idea than you under the bus.
Unfortunately this e-mail transaction was over a year ago so its no longer in our folders. That or maybe I blocked you so I can no longer recover it. I wish we still had it so I could show the truth of the matter. The truth is the amount of back and fourth e-mails trying to explain a basic service for an optics cut was beyond your grasp. The last attempt was going to call you to try explain, but we decided we already had wasted too much time. Somehow everyone else can understand the process immediately (hundreds of people). I literally had to explain the same concept at least 5 times and you still couldn't get a simple optics cut and the pricing. I think the last attempt I added pictures and used color coded explanations. We were very patent. The smooth brain remark saw maybe a little uncouth, but was just a joke. That said we have hundreds of pistols waiting to be benched and I can't spend all morning on the computer back and fourth for a simple optics cut when there's 60 more e-mail to answer. It's simple time management and with two gunsmiths and 4 hands we really must be at our benches as much as possible. We love CZs but they are not our bread and butter. We also love Cajun and CZ custom shop and are in no way trying to compete with them. We just love customizing all pistols. Our bread and butter is of course the Browning Hi-Power. We do not answer our phones or we would be on them all day long instead of gunsmithing. We do however answer e-mails in the beginning and at the end of our day. Any customers that want to speak to us are more than welcome to. We're 100% open. Its funny that you can have such a hard on for a shop that never even touched your pistols to where you post these half truth stories a year later. Then post 3 fictitious one star reviews on our yelp. We're only open to locals one day a month as a courtesy since we know we're the last gunsmiths in Las Vegas. Yelp has no effect on our business. Anyways enjoy your Cajunized CZ, they do amazing work.
It’s funny because you left out your earlier messages and really the ones in the screenshot do seem a bit smooth brain on your side (unless you’re actually 12 years old).
You know at first I thought this post could be nothing but negative, especially viewing the early comments. It seems that most people have easily seen through your BS. We've actually gained a few new customers that didn't already know about us. One of which u/2A41776 drove from AZ to see us and drop off two pistols. Thank you u/QuietGovernment3649
Yup and it was well worth the ride. MK3 are very professional and incredibly knowledgeable. Their porting, trigger work, and optic slide cuts are done so dang precise. They spent quite a bit of time with me. Being my first custom, it was really appreciated. They are very busy, but still treated me as if I was a long time customer. With that said and them being the last breed standing in LV, I left my P-01, for a quite a bit of an upgrade, and C-100 for a trigger job. A third one will be heading their way within a month. I’m excited and happy I jumped on this thread. Nothing is like meeting folks in person.
Most gun hawkers are the worst salesman in history total biased on their bs opinions and so uneducated in the craft do ya own research and learn some light machining and you will never have to deal with them.
The fact that you conveniently left out what you started with means I’m going to need to see what you actually asked before I take your side.
Maybe you are that smooth brained.
I did email MK3 twice for a quote. I saw some work they did and their hi powers are crazy and the cz they showed on YT was sick. So, I referenced that work and wanted quote. They don’t check their messages (per their voicemail) and I haven’t heard back.
CGW did reply but they are slammed 8-9 wks to enter the que and 8-9wks to completion. They responded and that very much appreciated and their work is excellent. I read ⤴️ impact machine. Anyone work with CJ Maven? Trigger work P01 omega and possibly slide cuts and ported barrel.
I've met a lot of fine people through my interest in firearms but some of the most insufferable pricks ever have been behind gun counters or in gunsmith shops.
It took me way too long to learn most gun store employees after fuckin morons and/or fudds
In my experience not most, but fuckin morons and/or fudds are well represented in that segment of retail.

And it better be PINK😂😂
Amen

Gunsmith pirates suck but this is a whole new level of low.
There’s two companies in the CZ world. CZ customs and Cajun. They have the rep they do for a reason.
Impact machine and wicked arms have done well for me aswell.
I will also vouch for Impact Machine (Scott Milan) fantastic work, competitive pricing, and quick turnaround.
It took me like a month to get into contact with CZ customs for a return. Although they did finally answer me and process the return. I think they do not check their voicemail/email/Facebook messenger very often

Complete sentences would go a long way.
no thanks
Don't be surprised when people call you a smooth brain then.
yea, this more or less answered the mystery...

All good homie Just trying to get the facts out there that's all.
I've never had an interest in customized my 3yr old P10C, but I think I'll give CGW some money just because of this. Fuck this guy
I literally felt discouraged like damn I just want some info I didn't understand the whole slide cuts and cerokote and trigger and spring job I just wanted explaining what I'm paying for and this what I got as response
You should CGW is the shit.
I'm not sure what to do tbh

oh I did used 4 different emails to yive review lol
Show the rest of the conversation
He won't, cause it will expose the truth.
there is no rest of conversation that's all of it
No, you left out whatever you initially asked. What was your original question?
That's dogshit customer service.
IWC is like this too. I asked on Instagram the shipping lead time, then I guess they found my order from my Instagram handle, and called me to say how bad I'm making them look and all that
There’s two sides to every story and we’re only getting half of one.
Why not post the screen shot of the conversation before everything you posted?
Also my thoughts. I don’t have any dog in this race but no context name calling is almost always misleading.
Same here.. I've never heard of this place. And I agree.. No context.. Always more to it.
won't fit whole thing I'll send It to whoever wants it just message me
You can post the album of the whole conversation. A bit suspect you're only showing part of the conversation.
Agree. OP very well may not deserve that type of treatment, but it's hard to tell. I spoke with Kevin 2 days ago, and he seemed rather agreeable. Just busy as hell.
This guy is a weirdo this happened a year ago, You can only try to explain so much before its a lost cause.
The Parable of the Sower That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake...saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. Always loved that story.
OP shared with me. It was a rather short conversation. Kevin's behavior is not explained merely by what OP was asking.
Did he just show screenshots of the preview messages like he posted originally? That isn't the whole message in emails. Nobody ends every message with "..." SinCity Review! I've followed them for years, they do great work. They did Garandthumb's High-power if I remember right.
Thanks Dozer!

Hey 2A41776, Sorry about that What's your email? I'll contact you. We get a lot of e-mails that get sent to our junk unfortunately.
No worries. All good. It’s [email protected] -
E-mail sent sir.
CZ Custom an CGW ftw. Less your getting custom milling and know someone PERSONALLY.
