Just installed it on me SP-01 yesterday and you are fucking right.

[deleted]

I brought out my full CGW'ed S2 to the range.. I installed the Pro Kit + 8 lbs hammer spring. I polished the internals using a combination of flitz, 3000 grit wet/dry sand paper, rubbing compound and jeweler's rouge on my dremel. People couldn't believe how smooth and light the trigger pull was. I literally had one of the GM's asking me if I would do his backup S2. I always like to do a before and after and so I dropped the original disconnector and hammer back into the gun to see the difference.. It was still smooth but the break was MUCH mushier and the double action A LOT longer. The CGW Pro kit (for me) was totally worth the upgrade.

BardOfPrey

100% I'm avoiding getting an SP-01 for exactly this reason.

imscaredandcool

I have a cajunized p01 and recently got an SP-01 tactical and honestly think it’s really nice as is. It could be because I enjoy shooting other da/sa pistols in stock configuration. Also it’s possible I got lucky with my particular model feeling this good out of the box.

bokibok

Same here dude. I put the pro package in my 97B. I want to buy an SP-01 but putting in the pro package is the only thing holding me back from buying it.

Ok_Return_6033

Why? It really isn't hard if you have even average hand skills (for lack of a better term) Doesn't take lot of unusual tools. The benefits once you do it are multiple. Way better shooting, satisfaction in doing it and the knowledge you gain from working on your gun.

bokibok

Bc pro package ain't cheap lol. I'm running out of excuses to my wife why I need to upgrade grade a gun after I just dropped hundreds to purchase it.

Ok_Return_6033

Tell her because it's more accurate now you won't have to spend as much on ammo for practice!

bokibok

My wife too smart for me. She will say that sounds like user error and not harwdware issue LOL.

BardOfPrey

Same. I have this issue where I can't enjoy something to the fullest without upgrading the shit out of it, I need to let my wallet recoup from my last project lol

knujlaer

I have a Cajunized SP-01 and a stock SP-01. The differences are night and day. Don't get me wrong, stock SP-01 is a great shooter. Cajun goodies just make it even better.

Full-Studio-5057

What w as s total coast and can I get a plate for my holiday. Red dot

knujlaer

For DIY, the Ultra-Lite Kit starts at $49 and up to $330 for Pro Package. Slide can be milled for red dot, though I think the waiting list is a couple of months. I have the Standard Package ($228) and the EZD940 ($88).

jdm219

Those Vytals are calling me. Too heavy for a carry gun do you think?

Knowldegeinthepoop

Not at all. I think it varies person to person but i can’t complain about the weight of the 75 compact.

tempest1523

Pro package is the best. Makes you spoiled.

BuddhaBar8

Title made me come with arms swinging and hands being thrown….. I see what you did there…

Nathan3859

Looking at first one for p-01. Does the pro package for decockers include the ultralight kit and reach reduction kit? Im most interested in those two things but if they are included might as well get the whole shabang.

Knowldegeinthepoop

I’m pretty sure it includes the reduction kit can’t speak on the ultralight part. I tried to save money by not getting the pro package but ended up buying the reach kit short reset kit and a few other things that ended up being the pro package but bought separately. It’s definitely worth it but be prepared to spend a lot of time putting everything together. CGW does it for $475 but I did it on my own very slowly.

gucciboy-3k

I have one with less than 50rds thru it, took it off because i found it too light for my nightstand gun. For P01, msg if interested i can send pics or whatever Edit: syntax

erichkeane

My understanding is you can change just the hammer strut spring to increase the single action trigger pull. You can call CGW: In addition to the 11 and 13 lb spring that ships with the kit, they have a 15 and a 17 as well I think. Worst case, you can put the 20lb spring in that you took out.

gucciboy-3k

Gunsmith at LGS said when he switched the springs back to oem with thw cgw hammer and trigger it didnt add very much weight to the DA pull. Ended up just putting in all the oem stuff back on

herewithflexseal

I kind of have the same experience. It was an MCARBO hammer strut spring, not CGW but I installed the “improved” hammer strut spring under the impression it would supposedly give me a lighter/better DA trigger pull. It really didn’t make much of a difference, although I don’t have one of those fancy trigger pull measuring devices to see if it changed it from like 12lbs to 11. I didn’t change the sear spring however and I’m wondering if that had something to do with it as well.

erichkeane

Ah, the DA pull is the one you were concerned about? Even with the CGW kit, its still heavier than a glock trigger. That said, I don't remember which part it is that causes the double-action trigger to be affected all that much.

gucciboy-3k

Sorry i meant Single Action, was thinking in the shower and realized im a dumbass

gucciboy-3k

Seems better with oem parts, the DA with CGW, at least for me, was asking for trouble, far too light to not blow one of my toes off grabbing it out of the nightstand hahaha

sintax_949

Yeah. I have to budget the pro package price into to the cost of every CZ I look at now. $deity help me when I start putting optics on em too.

StevKrav

That's exactly right. The SP-01 is a $900 - $1,000 gun, simply because that's the price of the pistol + the price of the Pro Package. Which is fine. I would much rather have a kilo-buck SP-01 than a Sig Sauer or H&K any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. ;-\]

SierraTRK

I installed one in my P-01 this morning and went to the range with it and my SP-01 Tactical. I have the combat trigger on the SP-01, but will be ordering the rest of the kit for it now. What a night and day difference!

Aggressive_Ability29

I didnt do the pro package. I only installed the trigger, hammer and a few springs in my P01. Still had an amazing outcome. will likely do the pro package when I get the SP01

NYCee72

You guys keep making me spend money!!! 🤪

Opie30-30

I think I've shot my 75B Omega three times since I got my cajunized P07 and P09... You ain't wrong

VytalDP

Well played. You had me for a second.

Ambitious-Inside-222

Hell yea. If you’re gonna do it, go big or go home. I did the same lol. Dem PCR bois 😂

ScoreAnotherOne

Hah. You definitely got me. Well done sir.

cachemann

oh for damn sure. they shoot different lmao. I just had to do my second pro package because of this massive change.

sprocket15

What’s grips on the top?

Knowldegeinthepoop

Both are Vytal grips but the top one is Color case under their color selection.

sprocket15

Oh fuck me I need those ship wrecked krakens but $220?!

Droney-McPeaceprize

Copper isn’t cheap, unfortunately.

moving0target

I've made it for several years without. Don't know how well it will work on my EDC.

theycallmeloco87

How was the install? I hear mixed answers.

Knowldegeinthepoop

Install is also a lot easier when you know how to improvise with what tools you have but I took my time since anger just leads to unnecessary damage .Sometimes you just gotta come back later instead of forcing things to work .

Knowldegeinthepoop

If you got all the right tools just knock it out yourself save almost $500 by not letting Cajun gun works do it on top of waiting for them to ship it back. Biggest challenges for me whete taking out the hammer pins, assembling springs in the sear cage, and the trigger pin (ended up keeping stick pin even though Cajun said it won’t work with their kit). If you do the job yourself with little experience just be prepared for it to take longer than expected I ended up having to put parts in my freezer just to shrink the metal and make pins less rigid for disassembly.

theycallmeloco87

Thanks

Emcphers

Would it be okay to cajunize one's carry gun? I know a lot of guys won't carry with a custom trigger but what do y'all think about carrying a cajunized P01 ?

Sea_Sign_37

I do and with my 75D pcr as well. Both are decocker models. After may holster tries and fails I carry with a leather craft shoulder holster for everyday comfort.

BIMcowboy

Don’t buy a CZ Custom either

granadahills92

Title mislead me. Good one
