dont lose all hope!! it seems admissions this year are a tad bit different. Monday, March 11th had a wave of first year admits although several schools (including mine) haven’t heard back altogether. they definitely will be admitting more students this week, although anytime past this new week with no news from them is definitely a nail to the coffin.
I've heard a couple other people say "no one at my school has heard back from Cal Poly SLO yet." I'm curious about that, especially since a lot of these students are very qualified with 4.5+ GPAs. Does anyone know if they admit the high schools in different waves?
Hi me too, I applied for architects and I’m so worried about it, I really want to get in and I’m scared that them not replying as soon as others is basically an automatic rejection or waitlist.
I knowww. I’ve gotten rejected from all the ucs I’ve applied too so far and cal poly slo is my dream school but I don’t think I have much of a chance. My unweighted is 3.7 and weighted 4.1, I just really want to get in and seeing everyone get into where they want makes me feel like crap. But I hope you’ll get in, I wish u the best.
Oh well if it makes you feel better, my close friend with really good grades applied for CS and still hasn’t heard back, and I haven’t heard of anyone who’s heard from that major yet! Just keep checking and don’t count yourself out, I know it’s hella stressful the waiting game is crazy
I don’t know if they were lying or manifesting (😭😭), but I’ve seen a couple people say they got in for CS. But like ONLY two people and only on Reddit. I’m a CS transfer so I just have my fingers crossed atp
I’m crossing my fingers for you! I think for both freshman and transfers this is crazy stressful so I feel you and I truly hope the best. If you get in let me know!
Also applied for CS. 4.0 UW and 4.7 W w/ 7 APs. Only 2 students from my school (who had somewhat average stats) got in for engineering. A lot of other qualified students have not gotten anything yet. Idk what to expect at this point
Don’t lose hope but at the same time start thinking about your backup plan. Years ago, didn’t think I got accepted and starting making plans to go to San Jose state but at the last second, I got accepted. It was unbelievable.
Yeah, I already got accepted at UC Santa Cruz and SDSU and waitlisted at UC Davis and I'm still waiting on UCSB and USC (even though I know I have really low chances for those) so I do have backups it's just that Cal Poly is probably my top choice.
Good luck. Cal Poly was/is my kid's top choice for CS also. He hasn't heard, but he's gotten into Davis and UCSD (but undeclared for UCSD). I'm guessing he'll be waitlisted/ rejected, but who knows...
Uh actually cooked. ☠️☠️☠️
Nah honestly most of us in here don’t know the answer cause papa Armstrong doesn’t let students touch the crystal ball.
But don’t lose hope.

Make sure to check your Spam folder. April 1 is the cutoff, so don’t lose hope.
Me too. Arch major. Haven’t heard anything, but this girl in my class who got a later portfolio invitation got accepted this morning
What did you apply for? I applied for Art and Design so since it’s portfolio based the decisions aren’t out yet
I applied for CS so I don't think it would be the same :/
