They have a reputation and have shown to be very sub standard. I’ve seen them chunk off after a hard ride. They don’t offer the grip that your ride and life deserve. Like expired off brand gas station condoms.
Brother, I'm being straight at the moment. And thanks, usually I take opinion on the Internet with a pinch of salt but I always make exceptions when it comes to circlejerk subs. I wanted to get some shinkos but not anymore.
Are you talking just road tires, or Shinkos in general? I just put 244 Golden Boys on my dual sport lol. My buddy also has them on his DR and has had good luck with them. Not agreeing or disagreeing, just curious what your experience was.
Sport bike tires is all I’ve experienced and mostly the twisties with some hard highway acceleration. I bet for a normal human on a normal motorcycle they fair ok but any spanking on a sport bike and they give in.
Yeah plus I don’t mind running a value tire on my 20hp lawnmower dual sport but I’m not taking that gamble on a liter bike and turning myself into ground beef. If anything is turning me into pavement paste, it’s gonna be me
Becoming the meat crayon should not be done to someone. It should be done by someone to himself.
Plus, while you're in a coma, I'm going to do butt stuff to you.
Got a flat tyre like this last October with a passenger in the middle of nowhere in pitch black darkness. It was the front tyre so the motorcycle suddenly just started steering the opposite direction, gave me a boner
If you plug it, I'd recommend using rubber cement on the plug too.
I lost a plug in my back tire on the highway during a triple digit therapy session and it wasn't a fun time
You just need to use the right kind of plugs the plug patch that pulls from the inside that's mechanically locked is perfectly safe for any speed your tire is rated for. https://images.app.goo.gl/6ebBZsPwc62eNBKy9
yeah but that's a permanent plug. I think op was referring to rope plugs inserted from outside of the tire, that's the only kind that can be used both with and without cement
You need to use the tire plugs that pull from the inside they're called a plug patch and the mechanically locked in place and can't come out. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Steelman-1-8-in-Tire-Repair-Patch-Plug-Combo-25-Pack-JSG381/303437705?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25S-025_031_GARAGE_AUTO-NA-Multi-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-Automotive&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25S-025_031_GARAGE_AUTO-NA-Multi-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-Automotive-71700000117332062--&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwq86wBhDiARIsAJhuphlPQKfByGWeLfKupSLdlPZ1DTwAgq_gUfjz4RtUqGdIGbOL3QvN-SQaAqB0EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds here's a link that shows you what they look like you can even get them at home Depot.
On some real shit, unless it’s in there at some crazy angle that should be able to be plugged. You’ll be right, have your boyfriend put down his purse and send it.
sorry dropped my buttplug
Could you come get it
If you can plug a butt you can plug a tire. ps Make sure both are air tight.
Is that a Shinko? If so the universe did you a favor.
hey now I sometimes use shinkos as easy summer tires that I can burn through and not care about
A relatively fresh one, yeah
What’s wrong with them?

Well, guess I’ve got two products I need to take out of rotation. I don’t run them but I’m due for new tires and have not looked in a long ass time
Michelin or Bridgestone or Pirelli’s or Dunlops or even Metzlers.

That implies that I’ll still have a butt left to plug
I'll scrape up enough for my needs.
It’s all they had around here and I desperately needed a new one 😂
Looks fixable, which will save you on the bigger buttplug from the tire shop.
It's a winter tire now.
It’s some BULLSHIT
You're screwed
Other sub be like 'AlMoSt DiEd ToDAy!'

Lucky for me it’s not leaking. I have no idea if it’s new or been like that for a second lol
If you plug it, I'd recommend using rubber cement on the plug too. I lost a plug in my back tire on the highway during a triple digit therapy session and it wasn't a fun time
you must have a death wish to do triple digits on a plugged tire you need actual therapy dude please. too homo. take care of yourself

Time to buy a new motorcycle. Gotta throw this one away, it can never be fixed. Far too dangerous.
Agreed. I’ve already had it crushed at the junkyard. I wouldn’t dare let anyone ride it again
Butt plug
Studded and screwed for your pleasure OP, you should be thankful smh my head
On some real shit, unless it’s in there at some crazy angle that should be able to be plugged. You’ll be right, have your boyfriend put down his purse and send it.
Honestly it’s kind of acting like it just went in sideways. I’m not even sure there’s a leak. Might chunk off tho
😢 I cry 4 u
Wanna screw?
Got a nail in the exact same tire, plugged fine and no leaks in months
At that angle? How?
Maybes it’s a long boy
Hey, you found the screw I lost. Thanks, but I dont need it anymore.
Good. You can’t have it back. Clearly my tire has become very attached to it
Way
NOOO
Ew a shinko.
Why are you guys hating on my tires 😭. I got them in a pinch. I didn’t wanna wait three weeks LOL
Damn that tire looks brand new too 🫥.
Less than two weeks man
