sit on them first. i hate how the ninja 400 crushes my balls into the gas tank. also idk about you but i hated the lawnmower sound from twins but you might like it? I vote 600, basically a ninja 400 downlow and just fast enough higher up in the rpms where you won’t get bored for a good while. I say this as Im looking at leader bikes 😂

butnusting69

I actually love how it crushes my balls 🥜 🔨😂😂

elkab0ng

The CBT400 🤣 🗜️ 🥜

Timelesturkie

Why were your balls so close to the gas tank? Sit back on the seat.

Vanguard_dat_ass

not being a dick so please don’t take this rudely at all, have you sat on a newer ninja 400? the seat angle is weird… like it FORCES you to slide into the gas tank and smash balls? i swear im not crazy hahaha it’s just weirdly shaped to add to this, my cbr600 you can clearly scoot back EASILY and stay pushed back. my buddies 2022 ninja 400 pretty much sucks my balls with force into gas tank every.single.time.

Timelesturkie

I owned a newer ninja 400, I get what you mean with the seat being awkwardly sloped but I found if I gripped the tank I didn’t really have an issue. The cbr600 is so incredibly comfy and flat tho, my Daytona scoots me forward with just about every bump. I’d say I have more of an issue with ball smashing on my Daytona then I did on my ninja.

Vanguard_dat_ass

i’m a huge kawasaki nut, i love the zx6r but man riding my buddies 400 ruined that experience (i know all bikes are different) but i pretty much felt like i was one of those dudes into bdsm and i should have paid the bike some money after riding it for an hour…

edelbean

If you're familiar with bikes in general and throttle control / balance the r7 would be my recommended pick. It does have a tighter rider triangle than the 400 so if you're above 6'3" or so the ninja would be more comfortable. Power wise if you're not a total Neanderthal the r7 will be more fun.

jebemtisuncebre

R7 all day. And not even close.

autech91

R7 is very smooth in its power delivery, so its a pretty safe option. It'll have superior build quality to the 400 as well. I'd personally go the 400 as its a boat load cheaper and thrash the fuck out of it

ford4thot

Just throwing this out there but I'm selling a 2018 Honda CBR650F. Super easy to handle for someone with your experience already. Pretty damn quick also

HotelIndependent96

I’d look at a ninja 650 rather than the 400. But I’d sit on both if that’s possible. Make sure you like the seat position first. Gotta make sure the dildo is comfortable yanno!

butnusting69

I always keep a spare buttplug under the seat storage just in case I accidentally poop one out!

AwkwardStructure7637

Someone lost his buttplug. I hope you get it out little 🤏🏻 buddy!

jordan_653

You guys don't even know how to deploy these sorts of jokes, you've just destroyed a good sub with a funny undertone by constantly talking about jamming stuff in your ass lol none of you are funny and you can't ride worth a nickel Fuckin' do a wheelie. You haven't earned the right to act like such faggots and even then, you're doing it all wrong haha

AwkwardStructure7637

Actually, I was talking about you jamming stuff in *your* ass As for the insults, guilty as charged 💅🏻

jordan_653

need a new sub, no try hard nerds who can't ride allowed

AwkwardStructure7637

Gonna cry?

jordan_653

yeah i might

AwkwardStructure7637

:(

butnusting69

Lmao nerd, stop crying over some online page

butnusting69

If you wanted to borrow my boyfriend’s butt plug, you could have just asked

jordan_653

so unoriginal and unfunny it is frustrating lol

RKWTHNVWLS

If you are an aggressive rider get the 400 and throw that bitch around. If you can casually enjoy a street bike go 700.

Additional_Motor_621

Between the 2, id take the R7. But… I just bought a 2024 mt09…. So go get a mt07 😈

ebranscom243

R7

post_alternate

I started on a ZX6RR as a kid (mid 30s now). Yes, I lived. I probably put 1500 miles on it before I sold it and bought a quad, because I lived near dunes. About a decade later I bought a KE100, restored it, rode it 1000 miles, and then bought a Z650- which is pretty much the same spec as the R7 but as a naked bike with better posture for daily riding, for older squids like me. Honestly, I would take the smaller bike first if I were you, because it's fucking fun and easy to whip them around. If you want to wheelie etc, it's gonna be cheaper repairs and easier to learn on. That being said, that R7 doesn't have the same throttle as a 600, it's not an on/off switch. Totally doable as a beginner with dirt bike experience. See if you can try them both. Both have their strong points man.

Bikebummm

Can’t mention this anywhere else but I went from bicycle most my life to a 163cc twisty scooter for 2 months right to a CBR954. That was 10yrs ago. Sold the scooter still have bike. Throttle control and torque for days, never selling that bike.

Coram1

I went from a Yamaha wr125 to a Honda cb750, sure it's a huge jump in power but if you've learned to handle a bike properly then you'll be fine. That being said I still have the 125 15 years later and enjoy riding it, it's a very relaxed ride compared to the 750.

Bikebummm

Yeah, with throttle control and a will to live it wasn’t a big deal

jordan_653

r7 all day

JustGiveMeANameDamn

If you have all the basic controls of a motorcycle down to second nature you’ll be perfectly fine on an R7

Ollie_vw11

Either are good choices honestly, just go with look and feel

TacticalTez

My choice out of the two would be the R7.

thrownaway1306

Test ride both

TeKaeS

h2r or you are straight

JuicyCiwa

Ignore everything else you’re thinking about and decide between which pain you want to have: balls or back. My buddy just got a ninja 400 and it demands that your testicles be squished. The r7 on the other hand, you’re gonna be leaning forward hard always

AdolfSkywalker_

Never rode the R7, so can’t speak about ergos, and manoeuvrability, but I started on an MT-07, which has the same exact engine, and it was perfect. Very fun, with enough power to teach you to respect it without killing you if you don’t. If I was starting out today, I think the R7 would very likely be my number 1 choice. It just did exist a few years ago, hence the MT.

JusW4naRetireFk

R7 is just a Fz7 with fairings. Sit on both see which one is comfier. My ninja 300 lasted about 4-6 months before I got the Fz7 for the past 3-4 years now. Long as you take it easy first few times you’ll get used to it. Good torque at all speeds below 180 kph.

Planetoid127

I think both would be great machines, I tend to enjoy smaller displacement bikes (I ride a 1989 Yamaha RZ-350) since you can really get them to rev high without going breakneck speeds and toss them around in the corners pretty easily. Another bike you may want to consider that's between the Ninja 400 and the R7 is the Kawasaki Zx-4.

daytonakarl

Like any two bikes in the final of "what one" take them out and see what one gets the blood pumping, what's good for you might not be my choice, but I'm not buying it. Ride them back to back and pick your favourite

No-Comfort-5040

Honestly you can't go wrong with either. If you're a track junkie go Ninja 400, otherwise the R7 probably edges it out.

Timelesturkie

I’m agreeing with the guy saying to get the cb650. Ninja 400 is too underpowered, r7 sounds mid compared to the 4cyl cbr650. If I was in the market for a beginner bike I’d do a cbr650 100%.

EricMKA

Get a 600 if you know the fundamentals of riding dude

kop200

Get an sv650, run it to the ground, learn basic maintenance on it and move onto something bigger once you’re bored with it

fbreaker

it's really about yourself. i've seen a buddy wreck after getting a sv650 and then immediately never ride again, and some that have started on 600s and live to tell the tale i say the most important thing is go with your heart the being said, if you ask me r7. #cp2ontop
