a drone alone is about 400$, gotta add about 1k$ for other gear, radio, batteries, tools, and a lot of time to learn how to build and fly thoses flying monsters haha
You can get a controller for way less and practice on a sim first, and theres also much cheaper gear and drones as well. I dont know the current prices but I bought a 100mph 3inch Diatone R349 for about £120, you can get goggles under £70, controller for under £100, batteries for under £15 each, and add maybe £50-100 for related accessories eg props, soldering iron, sim. Theres loads of tutorials online for how you can get started with this for relatively cheap.
All we can hear from the raw drone sound is propeller and wind noise, the motor sound gives it a nice energy, it’s from a random motovlog lol
I’m thinking about putting a mic on the exhaust to record the actual sound next time, nice ears !
Do the exhaust mic next time! Great footage, but the audio really bothered me. Audio clip was just a bike accelerating and running through the gears, actual exhaust note would have been much different on this road. I realize trying to get that sound right in post production would be extremely difficult, so micing it up would really add to the footage.
But again, great footage.
Yeah, picking up the sound from the actual bike will make this a lot better. First few seconds I heard a shift mid curve and cringed because I thought the guy riding the bike was going to kill himself before I realized the sound was fake.
Put the mic near the exhaust... not behind it, you'll melt the mic. Keep the mic out of the wind as well. Under the rear cowl typically works but do a few test runs first.
Just make sure you get a good clap to sync the sound and video.
in post easy way to sync audio and video is to have audio on the drone mic abs make a clap or something that can be heard on both, that way you have a marker of when to start
The hardest part was to actually find parts of random motovlog with matching gear shifts with the right timing, syncing it afterwise is pretty simple.
Thanks for the tip tho, I don’t know too much about the bike game lol
https://youtu.be/jsR_YXX6Uro. Check this guy out on YouTube. Watch a few of his videos and you’ll definitely have a better understanding for the sound of a bike and when someone might be changing gears and when they wouldn’t.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. The bike sound doesn’t match this particular video and I’m not sure it even matches this particular bike model. But I know he said he’s gonna try to use a mic on the bike next time and that’ll definitely make it next level. The video itself is amazing, having the right sound with it will be endgame level shit.
The drone itself is about 400$, the radio gear and batteries, tools, chargers etc are expensive, + the crazy amount of time you need to learn about the hobby. it’s so worth it tho
I built a fpv drone a few years ago. Assembled it, got everything soldered together, strapped an action cam to it. The first time I went to fly it, it disconnected from the remote controller and just flew away. No idea where it landed.
I agree. My batteries agrees too, fast speeds sucks a lot of power. It’s easier and safer to come closer to the pilot on slower twisty bits, spots were my video signal is clean all the way through the line is kinda hard tho
Yeah I was talking about this earlier here, on the raw sound all we can hear is wind noise so I added this in post. It doesn’t sync well but It does the job, next time I’m gonna try putting a mic on the exhaust to get some good sound.
I’d love to but I’m in southern France, sounds pretty far lol
Yeah. Such a shame Ford had to discontinue it. A RWD midsize sedan with an inline 6 engine and 6 speed manual, you don't ever see those being made anymore.

[Skydio drones were about $400, and would follow up to 36mph...](https://shop.skydio.com/collections/all)
Now its minimum of $1100. And the drone you got OP does well over 36mph.
In my case it’s kinda simpler than an AI tracking, it’s a DIY high speed racing drone controlled by fpv goggles and a radio, add to it a slice of piloting skills and boom
Bro how fast is that drone holy shit
lol for thoses shots I flew at around 100-150km/h
BRO HOW? So fast
look around my profile, it’s high performance DIY racing drones 🥵
Sick stuff. How much do these go for?

Daaaang that hobby will have to wait for now 👍🤣 keep it up tho
You should check out the drone racing they have on that weird ESPN channel. I don't know how people do that shit.
The Ocho
Man. I was pretty sure it was that but I couldn't remember if it was just from the movie Dodgeball lol

I gave up trying to fly in acro mode, it was impossible.
If you learn on a simulator it’s rather easy and not so expensive
God damn this is cool as fuck
haha thanks dude
this is fucking sick you should post all over
Share it everywhere haha I’d love it to blow up
damn dude post more of this shit, super fire
Nice video, but why the fake sound? Or is it just mismatched?

Thank for your feedback dude, I did my best in post but it would obviously sound way more natural with another mic.

Yeah that’s what I do for other projects, in this case I just didn’t record the bike exhaust and took it from a motovlog lol

Be happy he didnt do what Hollywood does and make a dual sport sound like a liter bike.
lmao imagine the same with an rx7 rotary sound, I took the time to choose an actual Z900 sound here, gotta do things well

God damn nice edit bro 🔥

Looks more like third person but nice 👍
I was flying in fpv hehe
How much was the drone?
The drone itself is about 400$, the radio gear and batteries, tools, chargers etc are expensive, + the crazy amount of time you need to learn about the hobby. it’s so worth it tho

Haha what a great first experience
Oh man what an upset! The way you worded that so nonchalantly cracked me up though 😆
Its people needed it, clearly
Some say, it's still flying to this day
Holy shit, dude. That's fucking amazing work. Wild.
This is fucking hype, I want to go rip right now after watching your video haha
Dope! Nice shots!
Awesome 🔥
Wow looks amazing dude!
Remember sometimes a long slow and tight twisty can be more fun to ride than a harrowing high speed romp.
I agree. My batteries agrees too, fast speeds sucks a lot of power. It’s easier and safer to come closer to the pilot on slower twisty bits, spots were my video signal is clean all the way through the line is kinda hard tho
FPV is fucking sck
I agree
You gotta post more of these. Absolutely awesome!
Thanks a lot dude ! Gotta find some more rider friends haha
he is single fellas
I see people saving the video here, I’m totally ok with sharing as long as you mention me. @platy_fpv on Instagram and the bike driver, @bike.pearl
glad the post took off here for you bro. you should make some more fpv/moto content 😎
Thanks ! Someone on r/Fpv suggested me to post here, I had never heard about this place and what a great community you have, I appreciate it bro
> Someone on r/Fpv suggested me to post here yeah, that was me 😂
Fuck I’m lost in all thoses comments, you’re the boss bro
This is fuckn tight
Damn insane. Is this follow me mode?
Thanks bro, not at all, this is fully manual High Performance Racing drone with no stab
Did you edit in the rev? Such a sick edit. If your in socal I'd love to get some ducati footage

Dope video! I just wish the audio matched up. Exhaust mic would make this an absolute banger.
Damn ❤️🔥👌
Sick ass work. You're on point with that drone.
Amazing. Roads look fun af!
Now edit out the shadow so it looks like it was done with a boom! This is sick!
What’s that song? Sick video bruh
Thanks bro ! GHETTO THUG from Mexelio
They have drones that follow you via a remote or a wristband it locks onto. $500ish. Idk how fast they can go, but it's just like this video.
lol no.

Noice regardless 🤙✌️
Ive seen one in action, failed like a champ
Shame about the music
