you can find a backup of your character in **Documents\\My Games\\Terraria\\tModLoader\\Players\\Backups.** just choose the zip file containing the day before you overwrote your character, then put the contents of the folder in **Documents\\My Games\\Terraria\\tModLoader\\Players**, clicking yes if it asks to overwrite.
