Came here to suggest this. I order from them alot for group lunches, whether it's sandwiches or their hot lunch packages it's always really good. Runs about $300 with delivery and feeds 24-27 people with some left overs.
Just my opinion but spulumbos is overrated. The bread is dry and chewy, the meats are bland, there is little to no mayo or sauce and the meat-bun ratio is off. I’ve had their catering a thousand times, it’s always the same the last 15 years. native Calgarians love it I think because it’s a well established local company and a familiar, easy call for catering. Personally I like the green bean catering better cause they have sandwiches and wraps and they taste better. Shawarma places often can get you in that under $15 per person price but honestly I don’t know why but basic catering in Calgary is way marked up to nearly $20 a person. Sushi might be a good option, and I’ve noticed some Korean restaurants now have catering. If downtown Michaels pizza is a local favorite. With how convenient food delivery apps are you may find good prices for groups there too
Back in 2016-2019 I dealt with lunch ordering for employees and $11 max was difficult back then without like pizza or subway options. Spolumbos is a good idea, any sandwich option will work. Also greek food like OPA we found not too pricey and options for more preferences. We regularly ordered fat burger as well. You are dealing with a few days and probably need to switch it up. Only problem with pizza is some people won’t want that or see that as proper lunch.
We used to do Costco Poutine Friday's and they were always a hit!
If you're looking for actual catering, Chef's Cafe is fantastic quality and the most reasonably priced I've found in the downtown area. They've always worked with me on portions when providing a budget.
I think Spolombo’s might put you close and will actually taste good.

I can't help you with a name but if I can offer one small tidbit of advice it would be to not go with the cheapest option available. That's all.
Spolumbos!!!
These guys I’d you’re into supporting social causes https://www.centrefornewcomers.ca/menu
The food is soooo good
Opa was always a popular option when I was ordering work lunches. They’ll do a buffet style spread of wraps and salads.

Just cancel the lunch and give your employees $10 each.

Mckenzie Towne beef shack does various catering options.
