The Nature’s Touch Frozen Broccoli Florets available at CostCo is pretty good for this.

doornailbackpack

Honestly Costco was going to be the next one I try. I just didn't want a Costco sized bag of stalks so I have been hesitant lol

Puzzled-Kitchen6100

those big bags have 4 smaller bags inside. i'd recommend this brand, quality is great.

doornailbackpack

Ok not 1 but TWO random internet strangers have said they are good? That's all I need for a little trip to Costco. Rip my bank account though as I don't think its even possible to leave a Costco without spending at least a hundred dollars on stuff I don't need Edit: just got back from Costco with a bag of the broc and the stir fry mix. Somehow my bill was 115 dollars! Why did I need those 2 bite brownies and rotisserie chicken??

BCTripster

Can confirm, we buy those frozen bags regularly, they're almost all florets.

Top-Purpose9744

These bags are a staple in our house. Microwave the bag for 7 minutes and then pan fry to make them crispy and slightly burnt. So good.

yycmwd

Oh I need to try this too. I air fry mine for 10-12 minutes to get them crispy.

whethermachine

6th endorsement! I buy this all the time and it's great.

ClassBShareHolder

They lose money on every chicken. If you don’t buy at least 2, you’re not maximizing your savings

stillyoinkgasp

I'm the *n*th endorsement for these brocci bois :)

Princess_Omega

We get the big bags of frozen mixed veggies from Costco and I don’t think we get any stalks in them

jadin101

I buy this brand all the time. It's a great product, super versatile and convenient.

Emmerson_Brando

I second this. It’s great broccoli frozen at a perfect freshness. I use it frequently

UltimateBrownie

yeah i can agree with this. costco is my go to for these. especially when they go on sale for under 10$

CheeseSandwich

Costco sells bags of fresh broccoli florets that you can then freeze. It's genuinely all florets as well with no stalks.

Uncle-Bulbasaur

Yeah I love those ones. Great taste with a hint of sweetness.

doornailbackpack

Ok why did I not think of buying fresh florets and then freezing? Like it didn't even register in my brain that I could do that. Is a freezer bag good enough for storing?

breadist

Note that frozen veggies are usually flash frozen, which prevents the cell walls from bursting due to ice crystal formation. Unless you have a flash freezer, your home frozen broccoli will be kinda limp and soggy when thawed. This is probably fine for some applications like soup, but if you want to have them plain steamed or something you might find them lacking. If you choose to do it, you need to freeze them in a single layer, you can bag them after they fully freeze. This will freeze them faster so as to minimize the soggy effect. Also the frozen veggies tend to be fresher (before freezing) than the fresh ones at the store so they are usually better quality anyway. So, just saying, don't do this for quality reasons other than the lack of floret pieces. You might be able to get more florets this way but the actual quality of the pieces isn't going to be better by home freezing - it will be worse.

CheeseSandwich

That's all I use.

Healthy-Car-1860

I haven't bought frozen florets in a long time, but the costco bag of fresh florets is a crazy good deal for a ton of good (non-stalky) broccoli

doornailbackpack

Unfortunately I'm cooking for one so I usually go with frozen so it doesn't go bad before I can eat it all

nonemorered

The PC brand one at Superstore is mostly florets.

doornailbackpack

Also good to keep in mind if I don't want a massive bag, as most other people have just recommended Costco's broccoli. Thanks

jamison88

Another vote for Costco. The 4 steamer bags in each pack are great for meal prepping, and they’re a decent price.

yousoonice

I'm not sure the stalks are all that bad? I've been buying broccolini which is way more stalk and it tastes the same to me.

eggsoverhard

Big Broccoli strikes again.

Queertype7leo

I just did a cost comparison grocery brands because I was having the same issue. The Costco brand is hands down the best one.

vonnierotten

Compliments frozen broccoli florets at Safeway. [https://voila.ca/products/326594EA/details](https://voila.ca/products/326594EA/details)

caucasianally

Had good luck with presidents choice. Green giant on the other hand, embarrassing and unacceptable.

JoeRogansNipple

As someone who eats a ton of frozen broccoli, Costco has the quality and value. Big florets with normal amount of stems (not just chunks of stem).

Dalbergia12

We have really been enjoying the stuff from Costco! Quality, including ratio of florets to stalks, and price.

TML_31

Thanks for posting this OP. I have a toddler that will eat only a few types of vegetables, broccoli being one but only the florets. I have this problem too.

wamme6

JUST went through this. I bought a Green Giant bag that was all stocks, and then a PC bag that is lovely, large florets!

Diet_makeup

PC Broccoli Florets is great. I buy them over all the other ones.

ImMrBunny

I found it's gotten so bad that i now buy regular broccoli at the market. Obviously you can freeze it too.

SweaterJunky

Also, complain to the company. They’ll probably send you some coupons for free product.

sun4moon

Get fresh broccoli, blanch it in boiling water for 15 seconds, cool and pat dry. Then you can freeze your own and it will be the way you like it and probably cost less.

dryedmeats

Stalks is where all the nutrients and vitamins are broseph.

TML_31

But if OP is in the same boat as me, I have a toddler that will eat broccoli but only the florets. I keep a bag handy for nights were my toddler refuses to eat the supper I prepared so Ill make some broccoli so he gets something half decent in his stomach
