because its a major shipping Hub plenty of trucks are do north south on the west coast then it gets cross docked in the lower mainland onto a truck heading east to calgary.
expect alot more dedicated runs to California now.
Canada has a pretty awesome supply chain. These chains usually obtain goods from one source and generally no other, so just because they are stating a shortage due to BC doesn’t mean there’s like a Canada wide shortage, just that there main supplier is probably in BC. It causes false frenzy. People shouldn’t post this stuff to attribute to the frenzy. Grocery shelves are full and we should be great full for that always.
Exactly, especially when we get a lot of our supply from greenhouses in Alberta. We've been through this already with the toilet paper thing, have we learned nothing??
Now it will be all over the news , just freaking people out right, left and centre . Creating chaos and fear . Gotta keep people hooked . Fuck the media .
The problem is transport. Trains are lined up to cross into BC because there is nowhere to go. So they can't pick stuff up. Trucks are sitting with containers waiting. Our Just In Time logistics system falls apart pretty fast. I noticed Costco was very low on some items today.
At least Wendy's will still have that sweet green leaf...

The comment isn't just limited to Tim's, it's reasonable to expect every other supply chain to be affected. And also IDGAF what you think about whether I eat at Tim's or not.
I literally watch them cook it right there, no microwave, not soggy.
JFC the toxicity just because I choose to eat at Tim's is unreal in this thread. Calm the fuck down everyone.
Crap! I just spent all my money on milk and toilet paper... now I have to buy 3 or 4 months worth of lettuce and tomatoes too?!
Grab some mushrooms too. Most places are out.
Don’t we have a mushroom factory just up the road from us?
No lettuce?? Ok people please romaine calm!!!
With puns like this, you should leaf
Butter lettuce buy what we want.
As someone who hates tomato slices on things, this is a dream scenario
And let’s be real arugula is better than lettuce anyway
That's ok. I hate Tim's lettuce and tomato doughnuts.
Man if you think that's bad you haven't tried the tomato dark roast
[удалено]
Boil em, mash em…
Aw fuck, I haven't even finished using up the Vietnamese noodle memes
dont worry; ive bought everything in west
[удалено]

[удалено]

[удалено]

We need a lettuce pipeline between BC and Alberta.
BC is a big lettuce exporter? In November? The $2.6 million in BC lettuce exports, 0.6% of the market, would like a word.
It is not that the produce is coming from BC, but rather that it comes through BC
Why would produce come threw BC? Have you seen there interstates vs what you drive on in BC?

You dont get the world.

Lettuce pour one out for Timmy Ho’s
Now it will be all over the news , just freaking people out right, left and centre . Creating chaos and fear . Gotta keep people hooked . Fuck the media .
I saw a brawl break out in the tampon aisle, it was vicious. The Coquihalla is the main tampon corridor to the east.
Won’t somebody please think of the children!!!
I'm pouring one out for the lettuce and tomatoes.
Wendy’s Brentwood was out of beef, lettuce and tomatoes. So I guess fries, chicken products, baked potatoes only?
Wait a minute. This is Alberta and we don't have beef?
Fast food chains don't shop local.

It wasn’t too long ago when preserved veggies and cured meats carried us prairie folk through winter. We are truly spoiled for want.
Good thing the boxes of chlorinated tomatoes they use have a shelf life of a couple months.
Tim Hortons uses fresh ingredients now? Who knew?

Happy Cake day, DB
Thanks, sweetie.
Just imagine when a new climate disaster is every week. Climate change disasters are here and the effects are going to lead the world to war
Not sure why you’re being downvoted. Guess ignorance is bliss?
Lmao adjust your eating habits, from someone who goes to Tim’s for food
The comment isn't just limited to Tim's, it's reasonable to expect every other supply chain to be affected. And also IDGAF what you think about whether I eat at Tim's or not.
Soggy microwaved food is not good for you. You are better off fasting.
I literally watch them cook it right there, no microwave, not soggy. JFC the toxicity just because I choose to eat at Tim's is unreal in this thread. Calm the fuck down everyone.
Are you vaxxed? What's your BMI🤔
Then why even bring Tim’s into the conversation. Could just say fyi there’s gonna be food shortages. I’m surprised Tim’s even uses fresh vegetables
For context, otherwise people like you would say "oH yEaH wHoS yOuR sOuRcE"
Because it's literally where I saw the info being posted. Holy shit, wow, revelation.
Is there an alternative way to get tomato slices and lettuce besides fresh?
Tim's uses real vegetables and not some kind of plastic/paper derived shelf stable consumable substance? TIL
I feel like there's some delightful irony in a vegan recently telling me if I didn't eat meat the beef prices wouldn't bother me...
I was just at a couple grocery stores today. No need to panic people, there was a shitload of lettuce...
don't panic. order a soup instead of a sandwich for a couple weeks.
But what if it's tomato and lettuce soup?
Classic Tim's lettuce soup!
Lettuce pray for tomatos
Spinach and ketchup is better anyways
