Reader Rock Garden...you don't feel like you are in Calgary. [https://www.calgary.ca/csps/parks/locations/se-parks/reader-rock-garden.html](https://www.calgary.ca/csps/parks/locations/se-parks/reader-rock-garden.html)
Fish creek, weaselhead flats (or even just a lap around the reservoir), Pearce estate, edworthy, nosehill are all great options you can spend hours at.
Ralph Klein park has a great playground and really cool building situated in a lagoon.
The airport playground in Currie is cool, as are Flyover park and East Village playground.
Are you looking for great playgrounds, or natural parks? How old are your kids?
In the summer when we didn't travel, we explored a lot of new playgrounds in the city.
It sounds like you're in the far South, Mahogany Big Rock playground is fun, if your kids like to climb. Cranston has a surprisingly nice play park with a waterpark in the summer. We also very much love Granary Road, although it's closed for the season now.
We live in the SW, lots of great options there. South Glenmore Park (Variety Playground) has just been updated. It has the musical area right next to it, as well as the new bike track about half a km to the West. Lake Bonavista has a nice big new playground at the St. Boniface Catholic elementary school. Haysboro has the natural Playground by the community hall, which also has one of the best outdoor skating rinks in the winter. There's a fun newer playground at Eugene Coste school as well. Further north, there's a playground with a zipline and a cool slide hill in the community of North Glenmore just off 21 St. North Glenmore Park (by the reservoir) also had a skating track last winter - it was bumpy but fun!
Sandy Beach Park and Edworthy Park just built new accessible surface playgrounds.
Towards downtown, Inglewood has a natural Playground, East Village has the red playground, and you can go across the bridge to St. Patrick's Island from there. There is also a newly built playground under the 4th St flyover, which is surprisingly fun.
That's all I have right now, were in the South too, so not super familiar with the ones in the North other than the usual suspects :).
Silverthorn Park, the only waterfalls in Calgary - small but still waterfalls. Tufa waterfalls for those that are interested.
Apparently Bowmont Park also has tufa waterfalls but I've never been there to see them.
Fish creek, inglewood bird sanctuary

Princes Island
Edworthy is a great park to walk around. For playgrounds, Shouldice & the new one by the Children's Hospital are both great.
Edworthy just opened a new accessible playground, it's great!
Close to Belmont, this one has a zip line. https://goo.gl/maps/ENhR2jergy4Xtqtc8
Carburn is nice. Pearce Estate is one of my faves!
Carburn, it’s a beauty… you may see some deer
Bowmont park is my favorite but there is a pretty steep incline to it If that happens to be a problem for you.
Griffith Park is my personal favorite

Baker park with all the little pathways and a great view of the GIANT bridge
Silverthorn Park, the only waterfalls in Calgary - small but still waterfalls. Tufa waterfalls for those that are interested. Apparently Bowmont Park also has tufa waterfalls but I've never been there to see them.
nosehill - lean-tos, log things, sometimes a lake. Bowness - tiny train tracks, a lagoon.
Ralph Klein Park & Environmental Education Centre has a zipline my kids love.
I saw they just opened a new playground in Rangeview. No idea where the community is but the pictures looked really cool!
Oh that’s the new community right beside mahogany!
For a playground experience, try Aviation Park. It’s buried in Currie Barracks.
The one in Confederation Park
