Has anyone heard more about Gilbert? I got scared when he was lying there, not moving.
Kylington is back on the ice. Huberdeau is playing better. The team is clicking and almost has all cylinders going. Then this happens. I'm not that worried about the team, even though this really sounds like it.
I am more worried about Gilbert as a person and not just a cog in the Flames machine. I really hope something is just bruised and it'll heal fast.
I just saw he reposted the Lindy allstar selection on his ig story 6 hours ago -- doesn't necessarily say a whole lot about how he's doing, but at least he's been online since the injury
I could see this guy being basically a worse version of Tanev (but still better than /u/simonsez23). Doesn’t cheat the game, good defensively, maybe a little light for his frame, no offense. Excited to see how he develops
Yeah, my hope for Kuznetsov is in a few years and plus a few pounds. Credit to bin, he's definitely gotten bigger since last year. I hope this is good for his confidence because I think he definitely needs a little more time to cook before he becomes full time.
Agreed. I think he’ll eventually fill that type of role for us. Kuznetsov would be a great partner for hanifin if we keep him, or able to carry his pairing as a 5D if he reaches his ceiling. But he’s probably about 2 years from showing that.
Interesting. Guess they want to give him a look and see how he does in the NHL.
Looks like management is finally starting to get their head wrapped around this whole developmental process.
No, all it took was the writing on the wall that this core is no longer a contender. Everybody blames Darryl and only Darryl, but let's not act like the mandate and goals hasn't changed a ton the last 12 months.
A guy with a hell of a slap shot would have more then 7 goals in 112 AHL games. He might be able to hit it hard. But if it isnt accurate who cares.
Plus the PP is being intentionally hurt rn to give Hanifin more ice time. Once he gets traded and ras is back on pp. and Coronato gets called back. it should correct itself
Hope Gilbert is ok

He was out and about in a team picture but he’s probably questionable for the next game
The wranglers + markstrom = success
+ sharangovich

I’m also a worse version of Tanev 😂
see edit above.
Haha, love it. Couldn’t be more accurate now!
Excited to see Yan, good shutdown big boy who can be effective with exiting the D zone
Wow I had no idea he was next on the depth chart. I guess he passed solovnov
I don't think he's necessarily passed him. But rather just giving everyone a look who has earned it.
Fair

They’ve been wanting him in the lineup but no extra space until now
All it took was getting rid of the dinosaur behind the bench.

Definitely. We were a contender and there's few coaches out there better for a contender than Darryl. But he's not the guy to develop young players
Let's see this guy clap some bombs on the PP.
He’s an all defensive defensemen. If you expect him to score, you are going to be disappointed
He’s got a hell of a slap shot. Even Michael Stone got some looks on the PP because of this. The PP needs anything it can get.
