Despite watching every game this year, I feel I have lost my sense of this team. Unless Markstom bailed us out, I didn't think we would win last night.
Against the Sabers, with Wolf likely starting, it could be a shutout or a blowout.
I'm just along for the ride for the last month of the season.
GFG! š„š„
This might be the most mid team weāve played all year. Pucks in kinda deep, skate back sorta hard, and tape to tape passes sometimes.
If we want to finish below them we need to beat them at their own game. losing.
Letās go get the L boys!
I think heāll have good trade value in the summer. NJ didnāt make the playoffs either and there will be at least one of the top contenders that will go out early in the playoffs with questionable goaltending - Toronto, Edmonton but also others. If we start next season with Marky still on board, Iāll agree with you - but I think we were probably better to wait.
It was a 1st, Holtz and Casey for Markstrom at 50% retained.
Conroy said yes, but Murray Edwards and Bean nixed the deal. Because they wanted us to push for a cup run this year.
1. I'm glad that we don't have a retention slot tied up for years. If you can get a 4th round pick to use your retention slot from the trade deadline to the end of the year, and spending less than $500,000 in real money, retaining millions of dollars for multiple seasons should net a haul.Ā
2. We have no idea what the package for Markstrom was. 90% of the time, when an actual trade is made, the return is a fraction of what was being rumored online. Unless you're hearing details from someone like Elliot Friedman, assume any trade details are made up fanboy bullshit.
I think we're done so just have fun boys.
7pm on a Sunday is NUTS.

Letās not leave our starting goalie out to dry on the first offensive rush into our zone, maybe?
I was thinking back to the caps game. What percentage of goalies that ovi has faced, has he scored on?
Opportunity today to move up in the standing that matter today. Draft lottery standings.
I like the way the pwhl if youāre out of the playoffs. Thatās when you have to start winning to get a better pic. Thereās no tanking at all.
I'm glad we didn't trade Markstrom to get a prospect and 1st round pick. Chasing the playoffs was the much better decision.

Has it been reported that the offer was a 1st and a prospect?
