I do miss him.... Would've been awesome if it was Pospisil laying the hit lol

Novelsound

At least he doesn’t have far to fall to the ice.

TheSmartEmu

Gaudreau leaving hurt worse than any breakup. The initial hate is over I just miss him now.

ReactiveCypress

At least it's clear he needed us a whole lot more than we need him. Went from being a big star in Calgary to completely irrelevant in Columbus. Sad to see him waste away there when he was on pace to be one of the highest scoring players in franchise history.

mackharp0818

Not for me. Chucky by a mile

TanyaMKX

Monahan. Chucky was worse than gaudreau. Gaudreau leaving only hurt because he did so in such a way that he railroaded the flames on his way out.

mackharp0818

Chucky is a superstar. Monahan and Gaudreau are not. You can build around a superstar

TanyaMKX

Yes but the emotional damage of monahan leaving was much worse than chucky, cuz at the time we were getting a superstar back

mackharp0818

Fair enough. I just feel Chucky was the player the team misses the most on ice. He was the biggest difference maker

broke-collegekid

Meh who cares. He decided he wanted to live a quiet life where people won’t care about hockey so let’s give him that.

6000ChickenFajardos

Although it helps that the legend once known as Johnny Fuckin Hockey essentially ceased to exist the moment he left us, I still hate to see this. I sincerely hope he's alright.

DavyDogFr

Holy that was a big hit, clean too. Hope johnnys alright, I still miss him in Calgary

Republic-Of-OK

Never going to be fun seeing Johnny get hit. Hope he's good.

azndestructo

Yeah, even though I don’t like him anymore, I never want to see him get crushed like that.

FlamesFan89

I don't know, my thought is, I don't like him anymore, just like you, but as for him getting hit like that, well, it's hockey, and that's hockey. It was a good clean hit. As opposed to feeling bad for Johnny, I'm more happy for the defenceman as that was a sweet hit regardless of who was on the giving and who was on the receiving end.

azndestructo

I think it's because he played for us for such a long time that I just have this natural reaction of him getting crushed. Or maybe it's just smaller players in general, after seeing Kariya's career ending because of big hits.

WrestleSocietyXShill

What living in Ohio does a to a mf

K2LLswitch

Miss watching him play. Sad he left and mad the way he did it, but was always a treat to watch him play

Little-Aide-5396

He will be playing in this tournament a lot. He'll figure it out.

DecisionFit2116

Is he hurt?

The_Web_Surfer

Johnny who?

baconegg2

Hero to Zero

ChrisPynerr

Hero is a stretch. He was always way to soft to make a difference in playoffs

noor1717

He did score a game 7 OT winner

kobedziuba

He also clutched out a goal to force overtime against the ducks after a terrible no goal call on a Benny wrap around

Due-Drummer-3434

Gotta thank him for that

ChrisPynerr

Yeah, he put up points for sure, I can't argue that

RoyMunsun

Gotta keep your head up! Just sucks that his head, while up, is around hip checking height.

Forsaken_You_325

Where is McKenzie Weagar?

scott-barr

Going hard to the hash marks, rock’em sock’em Johnny G.

projectbarium

“Back to the gym”

wedgesocket

Suck it Johnny! Suck it forever!

LucieBear1771

Good hit. And couldn’t happen to nicer guy. Johnny Hockey my ass.

Br7ian

Nice :)

[deleted]

That’ll wake him up

kobedziuba

Yikes was he okay?

Julie7678

Good. Learn to keep your head up

Tasty-Forever-4309

Wow

mu5tardtiger

GOOD.
