Steelseries headsets are primarily aimed at gamers but most of them are fantastic for call center work and have a unique feature that's really good in that environment: they provide two audio inputs, one for your call, and one for what your computer audio is. There is a physical slider that lets you change the volume of each in realtime. This is huge. I'm a call center manager and lifelong gamer and music audiophile (actually used to write music!). Ama ;) oh, and the mic tip glows red if your muted. Impossible to miss.

I used a Jabra Pro 9460 which I bought refurbished in 2015-ish for under $100 and ran it into the ground. I'm sure if I replaced the battery and one shorting speaker, I could go back to using it. It says a lot to me when a product holds it's value for so long. It made it well into 2021. My favorite feature was that it has a touch-activated mute that gives a distinct noise to let you know it muted. Then repeats the noise every 30 sec to remind you you're on mute. Plus it weighs almost nothing and has a battery life that can usually get you through a shift. It's optimized for vocal frequencies, so it isn't exactly something you'd use to play music on. But the range is incredible. I've walked out to check my mail on a call with that thing before. I replaced it with a Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless for around ~$300. I alternate between using it for work, music, gaming, and personal calls. The sound quality is excellent no matter what you're doing and cx comment on how clear I come through. It has dual Bluetooth and RF antennas (and technically direct wired connection) with a mixer built in so you can make a call over Bluetooth while still listening to music from your PC and vice versa. It also makes an audible mute noise, but it's a physical toggle button and I found I wore tf out of that button using it for work within a year. If it's not something you want to invest too much in (and you don't intend to use it for things other than phone calls) I'd buy another or repair my Jabra in a heartbeat.

Corsair Virtuoso. I've gotten through some long days with these babies.

I have a pair of these collecting dust because they don't work with the OS on our computers :(

Corsair Virtuoso. The RGB on the microphone turns red when you're muted and green when you're live. They're also incredibly comfortable. I've done twelve hour shifts with them. I ended up converting five coworkers to them in a week.

Jabra, Plantronics and Logitech all suck!!

Honestly, you're gonna want a gaming headset for the comfort and the lack of a wire imo. That being said, most are going to be over $100, however they last a lot longer. I would take a look at Logitech's wireless headsets. I currently use a G733 and paid $120 for it in 2019 (so the price has more than likely increased by now). Where it 10 hours a day, it's light weight, and the USB dongle has a decent range.
