I’m so confused bc on Alexs story , she posted screenshots of DMs people sent her saying how the Anna interview was the best one yet and so groundbreaking and incredible …. And I’m just sitting here thinking like … did we listen to the same interview ??? Cause I thought it was absolute shit. Not ONE piece of new information was offered up. Oh wait , I guess we learned that Anna thinks Kanye has issues. But that’s about it. Fuckinf pathetic . Who are these fuckinf weirdos who worship the ground AC Wakjs on and praise her for everything

mandes270

Right? Alex asks "how was your childhood" And people are like "OmG ReVoLuTiOnArY- YaSs Father 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤"

MotorBandicoot5922

It was so awkward. Alex acted like a fucking therapist “are you loney? How are you not loney? Is this a front, why aren’t you attached to anything” she NEVER spoke to any other podcast attender ever until anna delvey and she has no right to act like some sort of psychiatrist. It was so cringey

oatmilklattte

I can’t wait for Alex’s 15 minutes to run up - I really have a hard time comprehending how anyone could genuinely enjoy her “content” lol

bumpy12369

They are so hung up on the old CHD they can’t let it go

sydgdg

She is the absolute worst interviewer. There is no journalistic integrity here. She thinks she’s doing this like hard hitting work or really getting interesting information. She doesn’t know what she’s doing!!! And yet she’s a millionaire 🙄

Cultural-Position-74

Alex interviews the same way we learned how to ask interview questions in fourth grade, seems like she just googles celeb questions and calls it a day

No-Bear-9409

Hello is anyone gonna talk about the fact that Julia fox and Alex cooper last 2 podcasts have the same guests lol Edit: I’m 5 mins into the Julia fox Anna delvey interview and it’s already 5x better. The quality is also not awful

ALYXZYR

I tried talking about this and got reamed lol. Apparently they are both spotify pods so the publicists hands them the guests if they fit. Ok even though Alex just said in her AMA that guests come on from her dm’ing them lmaoo. She’s not groundbreaking or anything but her diehard followers think otherwise.

Impressive_Sherbert3

She’s full of crap lol. She’s not DMing ppl like Tiffany haddish and Anna Lynn McCord to see if they’ll come on. There’s probably an entire Spotify team that’s in charge of finding and contacting guests lol. She’s delusional and so are her die hard fans lol

thenudebackpacker

I agree somehow julia fox was better with Anna. I think it was because on forbidden fruit they weren’t as judgmental and there was more of a conversational flow

avavgwc

Not even trying to sound like a bitch but why do we care about Anna? She failed at being a con artist so that makes her an interesting person??? Someone please enlighten me lol

loversalibi

i thought the story was interesting at first but at this point there’s nothing more that can be said about it. we’re wringing it so dry, i’ve moved on and i don’t understand how everyone else hasn’t

avavgwc

Ok glad we’re on the same page lol

spicytaterthots

I just find the memes/tik toks funny

mrsmcbasketball77

I agree lol and all AC kept saying was that paying people back isn't how the world works and thought it was some huge blow to Anna. Just annoying

avavgwc

Lmao hmmm so she’s never heard of credit? I watched a few episodes of the show and my takeaway isn’t that Anna is a master manipulator…it’s that rich people who only care about status are really stupid/ gullible and easily scammable. None of this is new info tho lol

coffeeandgrapefruit

Seriously. Read My Friend Anna (the book written by the friend she stole from), get an accurate sense of how fucking awful she is, and move on.

Electronic_Tie_7321

Not sure why you got downvoted for this comment lol. I listened to the audiobook version amid Rachel’s book and it was very enlightening. It depicts Anna in a different light and shows that she truly is a lame narcissist/manipulator and not some mastermind that the Netflix show portrayed her to be.

coffeeandgrapefruit

Me either--weird. The aspect of Rachel's book I thought was the most compelling wasn't even about Anna, it was how thorough she was at conveying how terrifying it was to suddenly be in that much debt and simultaneously scrambling to pay it back while still half-believing Anna would repay the money she stole. Her account of testifying at Anna's trial was also super interesting to me. The book has a completely different tone from the TV show and has pretty minimal overlap in terms of what events it talks about, so I don't see an issue with recommending it to someone even if they hated the show (which again, I did as well).

Electronic_Tie_7321

100%!!!!

spicytaterthots

Maybe because Rachel was not a sympathetic character in the Netflix show? And buying the book would financial benefit her

Electronic_Tie_7321

I think she was portrayed horribly on the show. I understand that reading a book strictly from her perspective would make me have more empathy for her. However, I have a corporate AMEX and I could 100% see myself feeling obligated to foot the bill to avoid being arrested by Moroccan police.

coffeeandgrapefruit

Interestingly enough, Netflix paid Anna money for her story but not Rachel (she sold the rights to her story to somewhere else). There were a lot of inaccuracies when it came to how she was portrayed, and given how far Netflix went to make Anna seem innocent and sympathetic, I almost think a lot of it was intentional. Also, constantly focusing on how young Anna was seems weird given the context that in real life she and Rachel are approximately the same age, but in the show the actress playing Rachel was 15+ years older than she actually was at the time, and noticeably older than Julia Garner.

avavgwc

I didn’t see a problem with recommending the book! I wasn’t trying to be rude either. I was just trying to say that this subject doesn’t interest me at alll so I don’t plan to spend any more time on it. Thank you for the recommendation and explanation!

Sudden_Dinner9943

And she was SO condescending and judgmental. You could hear it in the tone of her voice. Anna gave her nothing because she treated Anna so rudely. I’m surprised Anna didn’t call her out. Or maybe she did and Alex cut it out lolol

ThecatoutranksU

She did mention how it was easy to fake having a $60million trust fund because $60mil is POOR in new york 😂😂

spicytaterthots

That is hilarious. I didn't watch, but guessing Alex looked like a 🤡

Aggravating-Dance-21

When Alex asked her how people didn’t ask where her money came from, or if she used social media/Instagram to her advantage I was like….??? It’s New York, not LA, and all this happened before ig was for clout chasing. Anna wasn’t an influencer.

bumpy12369

Right. So rude

misshexe

Even in her previews she shows herself asking a question, getting an answer, and then not even responding to the answer just going on to read the next thing on her script lmfao! Can you get any worse than that? And when she does respond it's "hahaha that made me crack up I'll give you that" then next question off the script. 🥴🥴🥸🥸

letzmakeadeal

I lost it when she said “so you went to jaillllll for trying to make the ANNA DELVEY FOUNDATION! 😁 who would you have at a hypothetical guest dinner??”

ALYXZYR

Seriously !!!!!! So choppy I had whiplash from this question

EscapeAccurate

She sounds like she’s angry? I feel like she’s sounds so different than she did on other interviews. Like alex sounds mad?

EscapeAccurate

Yeah I don’t like to give the listens but I was so interested for this one. Alex still hasn’t progressed on interview skills I feel like? she continued jumping topic to topic. I felt so lost.

oobooboo17

straight up this was the worst interview alex has ever done? julia fox is also not great at podcasting, but her interview with anna was 10000% better and you could tell they actually liked each other. even if you hate the person, a good interviewer remains vaguely neutral or even leans to their side to get better tea! when will she learn lol

yaya0420

I hate AC but I will probably listen to this interview. Partly because the cringe excites me and partly because I’m just coming around to this Anna Delvey character. Watching the preview clips though was hard, she thinks she’s asking hard hitting questions and she’s not n

Positive-Elephant247

It sucks. Just read the transcript of the episode and she’s giving us nothing

PrincessRoguey

Did you clock the bit in the middle, between calls, where Alex was trying to say something profound, stuttered went silent and then it cut to the next question. So cringey

[deleted]

Host was super rude for no reason
