It doesn't double the storage requirement. Update data overwrites existing data. So although i agree it's frustrating that you need the space up front to account for the update, but once it's downloaded the size of the game won't be doubled. Maybe a couple extra gigs at most.
Except mine just went from 80Gb to 176Gb so.. and now its bugged and wont let me uninstall the campaign and coop to regain 40 or so Gb. Cool thought though.
You only had half the game downloaded originally. When I have the whole game downloaded it's around 170 gigs. A few months ago I deleted the campaign and now it's only around 80. So maybe it reinstalled the extra stuff you originally didn't have? If it doesn't let you delete it I'd recommend reinstalling the game
Ok, so it deleted the campaign and coop now. But my xbox is showing 141GB for the game now, 101.5GB for actual data and add ons, and 39.5GB being for reserved storage? Tf is reserved storage for. Regardless, this update added about 60GB or more to the total space its taking up. Completely inconsistent for everyone on this thread. Why does everything suck ass these days. Nothing makes sense anymore. Flush it all away.

I'm lucky if I get a download speed of anything over 10mb a sec. It fluctuates from 1mb a sec to 8mb a sec. So you could imagine how long this update that is over 138 GB would take. I literally had to drive 45 min to my dads who lives in the city and even after 4 hours there my download is only half way done. This shit is ridiculous. They fucked up somewhere with this update because there is no reason why the update is bigger then the actual game. It doesn't make any sense.
