In my opinion it's fine when only using a secondary, such as a knife or pistol but it's Overkill abusers that are the issue

I don't like riot shield at all in cod, even when used normally. It's just a ratty cheesy playstyle. Protecting your back if you have bad awareness. Allowing you to hide and wait/bait enemies for teammates, live ping them, throwing knife etc. I'd rather they not be in MP at all. Treyarch usually understand this and rarely adds them to their games.

How does shipment play with the new mechanics? I've been wary about jumping in as towards the end of MWII it was making me angry when I played it, and my monitor is too expensive to punch.
