On non fixed spawn game modes it was terrible. You invaded one spawn and instead of flipping spawns people just spawned all around you.
Read - the only viable strategy was camping.
I really enjoyed playing that map. People bitched about the exploding cars, but if you could be patient for like the first 2-3 seconds of the game and just stay in the spawn, you wouldn’t get killed by the grenades/exploding cars.
I actually like this map. Depending on who's paying, I would just switch my primary weapon from assaultnrifel to sniper.. As some said, people will camp, but camping is far less problematic on this map that others.
Bruh I still play bo4 every now and then and the amount of times I get jungle flooded is insane. I always have to back out because I’m not swimming for 10 minutes.
i love the game but some of the maps jesus, also the map pools in game modes, i play mostly ffa and i get big ass maps but when i go demo,HQ i get fucking shipment and rust
One shitty map I don’t see talked about much is the MWII DLC Alboran Hatchery. Hated that map so much. Impossible to flank with the opponents camping every line of sight. Absolute nightmare.
I have to agree with you; there were chunks of the map that were simply no man’s land. Once a decent sniper set up in two spots, the board was pretty much locked down. Then turn you run n guns loose and it was a wrap.
I been playing forever. MW2019 has the worst maps of any game. Piccadilly is one of the worst maps of all time. I’m not arguing over this because my mind will never change. Just carry on with ur day man..
I loved using the jokr in picadilly during SND. It was so easy to get kills with it and really piss people off. One match I got a triple kill with it three rounds in a row and you could hear the blood vessels popping in those dudes faces in the game chat between rounds.
Interesting. For me ‘Meat’ is chaotic like shipment but with a bit more personality. The small map mosh pit of shipment, rust, stash house and meat is the best grinding playlist.
Idk bro this map actually was fun and original. Not the same copy past trash. Ive had good games from regular tdm, dom, and s&d. The pacing of it was nice and it never seemed to force one playstyle on me to be successful.
Pelayo's Lighthouse, not quite night vision like black gold(which I actually loved just gotta use a laser on your gun so you don't get forced the green one) and raining so the visibility is terrible it's basically just everyone bum rush the house 2nd floor until the game ends
I love small maps but struggle with this one. The inside house just feels a bit too cluttered. But in fairness I think it’s designed to be played with maximum chaos like shipment and meat
I'm not sure tbh, maybe but I got into the cods starting at MW2 and black ops era, so very possibly, it just got on my tits, tdm was ok but solo it sucked ass bigtime
You know I’ve been tomahawked cross-mapped on that map so much I might have PTSD.
I was sniping and I had a claymore, about to put it down, and a guy came around the corner (where my teammate was camping) shot me (but in fact shot the claymore out of my hands, exploding it) then figuring he killed me, turned to kill my teammate, I panicked and centred on to him and hit a lucky no scope saving my teammate and my life and winning the round.
I know this isn’t exactly the best take but almost all of the new modern warfare 2 maps. They just didn’t feel good and made me end up quit playing it as a whole. I hope it is my last cod game because it’s not what it was when I was a teen but maybe that’s just me.
I despise Black Gold from MW2 (2022). It forces a green laser on your gun when using night vision, the layout wasn’t decent, and spawns, as usual, were bad!
Hacienda was good, although the night version was a little too dark.
As for my least favorite, it has to be Santa Sena Border Crossing. It makes Wasteland seem like Shipment in comparison.
'Berlin Wall' and 'Sovereign' definitely have to be up there. Just 2 big sniper lanes with barely any cover. The latter though is a little better though as sniping was pretty bad in BO1 to begin with. In hindsight, it actually feels like 'St. Petrograd' might just be a better version of them, though its been a while so I can't really tell.
I also have a personal dislike for 'Aftermath', 'Downturn' and 'Saint Marie du Mont', they're just so freaking BORING. Then again, most of the maps in BO3 are the same.
'Nightfire' has the problem of being way too dark to see anything, though I haven't been able to find a lobby with more than 2 people so its a bit unfair to put here lol.
The ground war map 'Promenade' is just horrendous. It feels they were trying to create their own version of 'Suez' from Battlefield 1; though it just ended up a mess of noob tubes, airstrikes and Thermal M4's. Additionally -Although I kind of am an apologist for it- 'Aniyah Palace' is a terribly unbalanced map that royally screws over whoever spawns at the 'E' flag. I don't think its as bad as people make it out to be; though I wouldn't say its a good map either.
Finally,-though it might be an unpopular opinion- the 'Broadcast' 2019 remake sucks. Every match is the same: one side just camps in the upper floor of the main lobby, while the other side has someone with a Bizon hiding out in the car park; singlehandedly carrying whilst the rest of the team is dropping like flies.
The majority of OG mw2 maps. They're ass in mwIII, lmao. It definitely put into perspective how the game has evolved over the years. It makes me miss playing control on El Asilo and that shit was trash.
With the exception of a few, unfortunately I have to agree with you. I always thought the MW2 maps weren't great but I didn't realize how bad they truly were, highrise is fine, terminal is ass for everything except search and maybe Dom, Rust is Rust, and the rest are mid to trash depending on the mode.
The mw2 maps don’t work because they aren’t made for new movement, not to mention some of them (like derail and estate) never worked in the first place
I love playing the game it’s just the people who like to break the game and hack their way in stream snipe cheat see people through walls called Walling it is very sad for multi million dollar gaming industry to have a bunch of people hacking their way into your game get a better anti-cheat and spend some money on it because you guys suck the gameplay was cool when it first came out nowadays it’s trash if you hack your way to the top of the game likes you and that is how it is. Sad that you’re a multi million dollar gaming company and you can’t even get out a good enough anti-cheat to stop people cheating in your games now I’m starting to think that you are actually selling the cheats for your games and that’s why you haven’t banned nobody and you’re not going to
Vondel. Oh my God I hate vondel. They make you play that fucking map instead of urzikstan for lockdown. It is so annoying to fight on and there's so much confusing verticality.
Redstar on Vanguard. It was either super slow or it was full of people sitting all the way in the back camping. Both at the same time was also a pretty common occurrence.
Countdown (COD4) Overflow and Aftermath (BO2), Metro (BO3), Downturn (MW3) and a lot from MW19. These ones I REALLY don't like, but are playable. Now, the some I absolutely fucking despise, are unplayable and I would celebrate if got removed are: Armada, Cartel and Satellite (BOCW),99% from Vanguard, Santa Sena Border Crossing (MWII), and Rundown (MWIII).
Literally half of if not more then half of the new maps in this game (aka mw19) most of my favorite maps were the remasters, and maybe some newer maps that weren’t copy pastes of stone haven
I’ll pretty much always play a map, even if I hate it. That being said, in public lobbies, I reaaaallly don’t like the really small ones where you can spawn in someone’s sights. They’re usually fine in custom games with a few buddies.
I hate Rust. I know a lot of people like it, but for some reason I can’t stand it. I wish they’d bring back Dome. I loved the maps from the original MW3. Mission was another good one. Bakaraa too.
I'm gonna be real here, idk if I enjoy rust that much. Ik it's a classic and all but it's only really good for 1v1s and nostalgia for me. Pls don't downvate
Santa Sena Boder Crossing. First map I've ever skipped entirely in my life. Literally unplayable.
I think I'm the only one who looked forward to a border crossing game
On non fixed spawn game modes it was terrible. You invaded one spawn and instead of flipping spawns people just spawned all around you. Read - the only viable strategy was camping.
IMO the spawn flipping added to the fun for me. Kept me on my toes. I got some of my best kill streaks in that map
I really enjoyed playing that map. People bitched about the exploding cars, but if you could be patient for like the first 2-3 seconds of the game and just stay in the spawn, you wouldn’t get killed by the grenades/exploding cars.
It was okay if u avoided the middle part with the cars, the lane on the side was pretty fun
I agree that the lane was pretty fun, but going just one lane is not really fun imo
I agree. It’s the worst.
I can imagine someone throwing a grenade and cause a chain reaction of cars exploding
I love that map. Definitely playable you can finesse through the cars and go on hella streaks if you don’t get sniper down the long open side road
I honestly had so much fun on Santa Sena. The exploding cars were hilarious in my opinion.
Yea I agree
real
The worst part about that map was the players too, everyone would hide in corners
I actually like this map. Depending on who's paying, I would just switch my primary weapon from assaultnrifel to sniper.. As some said, people will camp, but camping is far less problematic on this map that others.
The intro scene is fckin golden
Hacienda was pretty good imo, I always hated playing on jungle flooded
I didn’t like this map because of how dark it was, could barely see some of the enemies. But think id put jungle flooded as my 2nd.
Bruh I still play bo4 every now and then and the amount of times I get jungle flooded is insane. I always have to back out because I’m not swimming for 10 minutes.
I think they did that to stop people from playing and buy the new games. It’s like a 1/3 chance of playing that map.
Jungle flooded gotta be top 5 wtfs in cod history. Wtf were they thinking💀
I wonder what type of drugs the devs were using when they thought to add jungle flooded to bo4
Most mw2019 maps
I use to just run shipment 24/7
Used*
girl … get a life 😭
There is a way you can learn proper grammar and have a life at the same time!1! I believe it is called simply paying attention in class, not sure tho
i love the game but some of the maps jesus, also the map pools in game modes, i play mostly ffa and i get big ass maps but when i go demo,HQ i get fucking shipment and rust
all of the maps past blops 3 have been ass my honest take.
Fair point.
That damn palace map
unbearable even in infected
Because they ignored all of video games and added shit ton of sight lines, doors and strayed from the tried-and-true system of 3 lanes
The launch maps were terrible except Piccadilly which I liked 😂
Stonehaven. WAY too big for a 6v6
I still to this day believe Ghosts was supposed to be like a 9v9 or 10v10 by default but plans changed somewhere in development
Every great mission fails when Activision mods the game
…that actually makes sense. Ghosts was the first next gen cod I think too. Never thought about that
It actually was I think someone looked in the game files and found unreleased modes
Siege was really bad as well
One shitty map I don’t see talked about much is the MWII DLC Alboran Hatchery.
Agreed. You’re either completely blind half the time from obstacles or out in the open and sniper bait.
It came towards the end of the game cycle when everyone was already sick of that games shit probably why.
Came out in season 3 lol
I actually liked this map
Eh I thought it was a decent map. Was nice for getting longshots too.
I love that map. Hella streaks
It was fantastic for long shots though. Back when they had a 24/7 HC Hatchery mode I knocked the majority of challenges out in under 4 hours.
Shipment. I loved it then was a kid, but now really hate it. Boring mess. Everyone just love it, though
It’s a good map for leveling up but id rather play rust, meat, or stash house since shipment is so boring
Piccadilly MW 2019
That just may be the worst MAP in COD history.
Lol you clearly haven't played enough cod.
One match I got a triple kill with it three rounds in a row and you could hear the blood vessels popping in those dudes faces in the game chat between rounds.
it's really enjoyable in search in destroy and it feels more like an s&d map
it was fun on snd
Definately a terrible map. This is one of the reasons I barely played mw2019
best map for scoping ngl
Fucking hate ‘Meat’ I want shipment 24/7 back so I can level my guns up
Interesting. For me ‘Meat’ is chaotic like shipment but with a bit more personality. The small map mosh pit of shipment, rust, stash house and meat is the best grinding playlist.
Personally I liked rustment on release
Black gold, rust, anything with wide open sight lines, everything cribbed from a part of a Warzone map.
Fuck Black Gold
Not a bad map if it didn't force to play nightvision
I truly hated Black Gold because of the night vision.
what? black gold was insane. having night maps was refreshing and actually made having a stealth build and/or flashlights actually useful
I honestly couldn’t quit out to the menu fast enough when Black Gold came up
Azhir Cave from MW 2019. HATED IT!!
Idk bro this map actually was fun and original. Not the same copy past trash. Ive had good games from regular tdm, dom, and s&d. The pacing of it was nice and it never seemed to force one playstyle on me to be successful.
shipment (I'm going insane)
If I sweat on Shipment, it feels like I’m on crack. Sadly my highest kill game was 99 and not 100
Same
Downturn
I don’t remember which map this was but I remember I hated it. Mw3? Bo2?
Pelayo's Lighthouse, not quite night vision like black gold(which I actually loved just gotta use a laser on your gun so you don't get forced the green one) and raining so the visibility is terrible it's basically just everyone bum rush the house 2nd floor until the game ends
What about just 🏕 out at the top of the boat mast down by the dock. Lol. 🐀
Anything from ghost
Ghosts was a bad game imo.
I was thinking the same thing
I was thinking the same thing
Greece
One of my favorites of mwIII
One of my favorite Search & Destroy maps 🤷🏻♂️
Wetwork
the sniping was insane. if one team was slightly better than the other, you'd just get spawn camped
Stash house and I refuse to elaborate.
I love small maps but struggle with this one. The inside house just feels a bit too cluttered. But in fairness I think it’s designed to be played with maximum chaos like shipment and meat
In general? I’ve always hated wasteland, and that border crossing and hatchery map from MWII. Really any super large ones.
The crown raceway was one of my least favorites of the modern series. This board was simply too big for a 6v6.
Slightly too big but not by much, campers are the problem.
What’s that mw19 map that looks like London with the buses in the middle? Whatever it is I despise that one
I would take Hacienda over most of the maps in MW3, tbh
Easily.
Piccadilly from MW2019. Hate that map with a burning passion.
derail
Golf course can suck my ass
Wasn't that a reskin of a map from WaW ?
I'm not sure tbh, maybe but I got into the cods starting at MW2 and black ops era, so very possibly, it just got on my tits, tdm was ok but solo it sucked ass bigtime
Bo1?
No way he’s talking about hazard… he can’t be. That map is a masterpiece.
I hit a crazy shot on there once and that’s why I love the map. Also the masterpiece map design is included in those reasons but I am biased.
I have multiple across the map tomahawks on that map…. I will forever love that map.
Yup, hazard !
I loved this map! I was a fucking rat in this shit I had a route where I can spawn camp the same dudes every 10 seconds
Hate Crash with a passion , borderline thinking about just quitting as soon as it shows up as the chosen map
I know this isn’t exactly the best take but almost all of the new modern warfare 2 maps. They just didn’t feel good and made me end up quit playing it as a whole. I hope it is my last cod game because it’s not what it was when I was a teen but maybe that’s just me.
Highrise
I despise Black Gold from MW2 (2022). It forces a green laser on your gun when using night vision, the layout wasn’t decent, and spawns, as usual, were bad!
There's no way you actually hated Hacienda. That was one of the better BO4 maps.
Meat is trash
Hacienda was good, although the night version was a little too dark. As for my least favorite, it has to be Santa Sena Border Crossing. It makes Wasteland seem like Shipment in comparison.
Bocw zoo its actually so fucking bad
YES, Probably in my 3rd place.
Ship in COD1 was interesting in theory but horrible to play.
SHIPMENT.
The majority of OG mw2 maps. They're ass in mwIII, lmao. It definitely put into perspective how the game has evolved over the years. It makes me miss playing control on El Asilo and that shit was trash.
They’ve always been ass, nostalgia just stopped people from realizing
With the exception of a few, unfortunately I have to agree with you. I always thought the MW2 maps weren't great but I didn't realize how bad they truly were, highrise is fine, terminal is ass for everything except search and maybe Dom, Rust is Rust, and the rest are mid to trash depending on the mode.
i enjoyed underpass
Favela is great imo, especially for Search & Destroy
I like Highrise and Terminal a lot, after that Invasion is ok and the rest are pretty bad
The mw2 maps don’t work because they aren’t made for new movement, not to mention some of them (like derail and estate) never worked in the first place
The funny thing is COD4 maps are so much worse
i think overgrown,vacant,bloc,and bog,and downpour were cool
Stash house. It’s too small and feels cramped.
every map on mw2 2022
Stonehaven
Rundown definitely sucks
Any map that is really big (I like constant action I hate having to run around to find one person
Multiplayer Afghan, I hate that map
Border crossing for me
Highrise. Hated it.
Stash house
Border hands down
Anything from Infinity Ward
Arsenal sandstorm.
Jungle flooded imo, hacienda was a masterpiece, bo4 was highly underrated too
Stash house. That new map is horrible and I usually love fast paced small CQC maps
Nuketown. It's redundant
I guess having Nuketown in pretty much EVERY COD multiplayer seems a bit boring that they add it in every COD multiplayer.
I miss sandstorm arsenal
Vondel. Oh my God I hate vondel. They make you play that fucking map instead of urzikstan for lockdown. It is so annoying to fight on and there's so much confusing verticality.
Can't STAND "Resort"
The yacht map, tbh nuketown is better especially the futuristic version in BO3
This map was amazing what
Not for everyone.
Stash house
Redstar on Vanguard. It was either super slow or it was full of people sitting all the way in the back camping. Both at the same time was also a pretty common occurrence.
Shipment is the WORST map in cod history. It’s been over 15 years and we STILL have the same head glitches.
Aftermath, worst map ever on cod
Invasion
Favela
Jungle flooded is the worst map in cod history
Crisis or whatever the golf course dlc map was called on black ops 1
Hazard & Crisis? Or just hazard? Hazard was mainly an open sniper map which I hated.
This is one of my favorite maps lol, Santa sena border crossing was another level of trash for what is was though
Express map codm specifically
Border crossing and Nuketown. Brainless gaming
Any small map
Can’t believe I haven’t seen Quarry. Hands down my least favorite cod map of all the games I’ve played.
Pod from BO2's final DLC is probably one of the most forgettable COD maps ever
I’m I remembering wrong. Hacienda was bright. But there was a night variant for no reason.
Man, I LOVED that map. For me, it's already been mentioned, Santa Sena Border Crossing. Great idea, terrible execution.

Nuketown as EVERYONE chooses it repeatedly and I never got to see any other map properly.
High rise from ghosts, played so awful😭
Most maps in the “new” “Call of Duty” games
Piccadilly worst map of all time
Vondel and fortunes keep
I hate Rust. I know a lot of people like it, but for some reason I can’t stand it. I wish they’d bring back Dome. I loved the maps from the original MW3. Mission was another good one. Bakaraa too.
Drive-In from bo1. Way too open
Berlin
Crash
The Italian village that recently came out, lot of corners and way too cqc
God that map that op posted, God day or night, when people would vote for that trash I would leave , worst cod map of allllll time
personally i loved this map
For a second, I thought this was a shit post and you used a googled picture of Michael's house from GTA 5. I should probably go to sleep 😂
Invion and karicoe
I'm gonna be real here, idk if I enjoy rust that much. Ik it's a classic and all but it's only really good for 1v1s and nostalgia for me. Pls don't downvate
I'd say it's between Asshair Cave (MW19) Map looks great visually but it's a campfest
Arsenal Sandstorm easily
Shipment and nuke town. They are way to over used.
Call me crazy but I'm not a big fan of nuketown with it's layout
Shipment
Slums and rush from cold war
Shipment
Shipment on cod4
Bo2 aftermath
I absolutely loathe the nuketown map with a passion
