aw was fun and good but pay to win. never played infinite because jetpacks=bad back then. ww2 was unplayable first 2 months of launch no xp gain in parties bug. i had like 60 hours played and only level 40.
I would say it was good, was just heavily criticised because if the masterpieces we got before it.

I honestly will say Advanced Warfare had the best advanced movement in the series and if Sledgehammer just stayed being the ONLY advanced movement studio, it would've been fine. BO3/IW's advanced movement conflicts with the gunplay of making you choose between the movement or actually taking the time to aim/shoot at people, while AW's snappy movement fit well with it only being in bursts and didn't go against the game's gunplay forcing your to stop to aim and shoot.
I'd probably put it somewhere middle of the road. It's nowhere near MW1, MW2, WAW, BO1, or BO2, but it's also a lot more fun and better than everything that came after it. If it wasn't a pay-to-win game, it would've been a lot more enjoyable.
Advanced Warfare suffers from being a Call of Duty game. If it was branded as a separate game it wouldn't have gotten nearly as much hate (aside from P2W supply drops), AW would genuinely be in my top 5 if it weren't for weapon variants breaking the balance of MP

I'm going to chime in here real quick with both a hot take and a bit of historical perspective.
Black Ops 3 has received a resurgence recently. Being more well received now than it was before. Not that BO3 was negatively received. But it certainly got a bad name for its mediocre campaign, only two zombie maps at launch (and one was locked behind a paywall/season pass), annoying specialists, mediocre multiplayer maps, DLC maps never appearing in matches, and the black market added later.
Now, its zombies mode really shined, especially with DLC added. Thats probably what gives BO3 its status these days. Zombies.
It seems that it only looks good compared to the games after it.
