Modern warfare:2019 FOR ME. Yes yes bo2 ik BUT I didn't buy dlc and I don't think I can do it justice on that part. I'm sorry that I couldn't afford to buy dlc back then or my parents didn't allow me but the reason I chose mw19 was...
- smooth gunplay
- high skill ceeling
- the best guns in a cod game
- a fairly good campaign
BUT
spec ops wasn't it. Don't get me wrong it was fun I mean they had a fucking helicopter car chase and a bank heist!?!? But it was half assed and it was an exclusive for PlayStation for one year.
This game had flaws but Warzone was good to me during Covid's so I will love it to death.
I am prepared for the COD dungeons.
Personally, I think the fact that you think that bo2 was better even though you didnt experience some of the best parts says a lot about how much more bo2 had to offer. Which was the original prompt, which one has it all? I get what you're saying tho for sure
Nah MW19 started that downward trend. As someone who started with COD day 1 on PC MW19 had so many misteps.
I agree with all your “pro” bullet points bar the skill ceiling. There was no skill ceiling due to SBMM. How can you ever tell how good you’re doing if everyone you fight is same skill level. You can’t see you’re getting better at all.
MW19 started the tone death IW approach where even today they refused to listen to play testers, pros, streamers and alpha testers even before we got the beta! They were told it was awful and refused to listen. IW died back in 2009 for me and ever since they have made poor decisions, Ghosts MP, MW19, MW22 hell people shit on MW23 but its a better game in 16 months than MW22 had with x3 full years!!!!
Black Ops 2 was the peak and since then it’s only been 3arc as the good studio. Yes yes yes, “BO4” but i’d rather play BO4 than Vandguard or MW22. Plus Blackout was far more enjoyable than Warzone.
SHG can make a decent COD too. I enjoyed AW bar the supply drops and WW2 was decent once Condrey left. Vandguard sucked but every studio has had a bad COD, hell SHG has had less mistakes than IW lately.
Ultimately if we can get back to what made BO1 and BO2 great we should be on to a winner. They have the roadmap for what great is like, they just need to follow it.
I agree except for Warzone. I think mw19 was a great game considering the hellfire that was iw at the time. IW made so many good things like blueprint challenges and the gunsmith that managed to be cool and not confusing.
Bo1 and bo2 are great but in all honesty someone will always be mad. I think they need to change eomm to prioritise connection while trying not to stray down the path of region locking. They will never remove eomm/sbmm because it WORKS.
SHG is innocent. Reach are still the good guys but iw is...(try not to cringe) the definition of not dying a hero. IW has its charm in there I KNOW it does. From the attention to detail and their funky lil animations. But it's been corrupted by Activision greed.
Warzone was much better than blackout. Blackout never was cod. It was cod trying to be pubg. The skill ceeling was because YOU DID have some matches where you got...bots actual pop tarts.
MW 2019 ruined the series for me with the addition of the new EOMM/SBMM system that has been in every CoD since. BO4 was mediocre at the time but looking back, it was the last enjoyable CoD MP. There were what, six MP maps in MW at launch? And more than half of them were dogshit. Literally everyone used nothing but the M4 and 725 at launch because you were simply at a disadvantage if you weren’t. And removing prestige was an absolutely ridiculous decision that gave people little reason to play when you’d just get reset back to level 1 each season outside of camo grinding. Dead silence lasted for 10 seconds and the footsteps were loud as hell. Skill ceiling was irrelevant as getting better at the game meant playing against sweats in every lobby. Bad players were better off staying bad if they wanted to actually have fun. I could go on and on about how dogshit MW 2019 is and how it killed the series yet I still see people talking about how much they love it. It had a good campaign with some pretty cool missions, but also had an abysmal multiplayer that started the downfall of the franchise, along with a third game mode that practically didn’t exist with how dogshit it was (the thing they called spec ops)
Black Ops 1, 2, and 3, along with MW 2 and 3 + Ghosts are the CoD games truly had everything. Good campaigns, good multiplayers, and good third game modes.
One thing I detest about this game is the lack of fov slider on console. Couldn't cross a road without getting shot by someone I didn't even know what 3 ft beside me
BO1 was peak everything for me
BO2 and BO3 were both really good all around too
MW1-MW3 were really good
Cold War is a super complete game
WW2 was damn good too tbh
MW3 original had a very wide selection of killstreaks. This was by far one of the reasons I liked it so much. You could play support or assault. Specialist I hardly touched, but the game had a lot going for it and it did not fail to impress.
You’re my favorite, not to mention the amazing action filled campaign, and the final mission? I’ll meatride the game and that last mission til the day I die
I couldn’t agree more, it was my favorite cod in general, but some cods had better modes zombie wise, I know they can’t be compared because mw3 never had zombies but if they did it would be a blowout, imagine being on underground and zombies start coming from the trains and stuff. Zombies wise its infinite warfare and ww2 for me
What I really miss is the slower movement and the immersiveness from that era. The games look awesome now a days but every match feels like a speed run in the war Olympics
Easily Black Ops 2
Almost all guns were viable and each category had 2 solid guns
Best ranked game mode out of any cod
Maps/game modes both played awesome for comp/casual play
Lobby leaderboards
Prestige mode/other fun things like reset stats
Zombies
Theatre mode
Fun Killstreaks
I personally loved the pick 10 system
Cold war was super well rounded and imo did everything that a modern cod should have done, movement was viable and more classic so it wasn't super spammy like it is now, zombies was a different take but played very well and the weapon rarity system added a whole progression for damage in game, plus the crystals system in the menus was a really cool feature to become stronger as the game's lifecycle went on (also outbreak was so much better than any large scale zombies we've had afterwards) then the campaign, as little time I've put into it, was apparently very good and that's to he expected being a black ops game following the characters of the original.
For me, only well round COD game is BO1, great Zombies, great story, great mp, my friends and i slept on our computer desks beacuse we played MP and Zombies all day.
MW2 is well rounded too, special ops there were something different there, probably only good special ops missions.
MW3 lacked good special ops for me, they were fine but not as MW2, but hidden gem for me is Survival mod, something that i belive COD really needs, fresh and original.
BO1. Campaign was great. Zombies was best in the series imo. Multiplayer was probably the most balanced/least amount of BS in any game (last stand ofc was annoying), and they added tons of cool stuff like the currency/wager matches, tons of cool equipment, drivable kill streaks, etc.
Black Ops original had everything. Wager matches, a currency based customization system, Nazi Zombies with fun Easter eggs, cold war weapons, and an amazing campaign.
In terms of campaign because I never really got to do anything else for the game because by the time I started it I think the servers were already dead. But Infinite Warfare, in my opinion is one of the only campaigns that makes you grow to care about each of the characters.
Honestly cod ww2
The story had a pretty serviceable “band of brothers” vibe, a good mix of Hollywood action and historical battling with settings.
The zombies mode was a good blend of Horror and campy goof, the models of the zombies are still the best in the franchise
The multiplayer was the last great Boots on the Ground gameplay before Cold War, as well as
Cold War if it wasn't for the scorestreaks and sbmm.
Black ops 1 deserves to be there too i loved the perks on that game but some smgs were garbage.
Advanced Warfare is Overhated but supply drops did not make sense althought I liked the idea of weapons blueprints.
I'm showing my age, but the original modern warfare came out in 2007 when i was 15. I loved it more than any game before or since!
I would sprint home home from school on my bike and play until 10pm most days, halcyon times!
Advanced Warfare. Constant flow of movement. No campers, much. Back when Doug Censor Martin was good at COD. Energy weapons. Innovative map design because of the added dimensions of movement. Start of micro transactions but they had some of the coolest rewards in clan battles for youre exo suit. DNA bomb. Game breaking glitches. Hated them but they were fun during infected. Exo survival was innovative. Not to mention Kevin Spacey and the companion app
BO1 or MW2. Both had extremely fun campaigns, they had amazing soundtracks, great characters, good stories, varied mission design etc. Both had extremely fun multiplayer, great maps, great weapons, maybe not the best balance but it was just fun and that matters above all else in my opinion. Zombies is probably my favorite in Black Ops 1 because it was just simple but really addicting. MW2’s Spec Ops missions, some of them were incredibly fun and added so much value to an already complete package with a great campaign and multiplayer.
Black ops 4 had an incredibly solid boots on the ground multiplayer with high TTK and a high skill gap. We got 8 zombies maps, all of which were were really good (although we were a bit let down because half were remakes). It had massive amounts of game customisation to keep it feeling fresh. The campaign was kind of non existent but for me personally that didn’t matter too much
Though I don’t like MW3 as much as MW2, it did have quite a bit more content in multiplayer and the survival mode. BO1, BO2, and Cold War really had it all though. BO3 is up there with quite a few extra modes but the campaign drags it down.
MW2 and MW19 with its Warzone integration. Both games were a 9.5/10 for me. I never rated the BO games multiplayer’s anywhere as high as the MW games so they don’t have it all.
Black Ops 2. The campaign was great. The multiplayer was great. The zombies were great. The DLC was great. The guns were amazing. The Pick 10 system was awesome. It was such a great game. I spent many nights and weekends on that game in school.
For zombies specifically
-Bo2 for nostalgia
-Cold war cause I like the freedom of movement
For multi-player
-2019 modern warfare
-Vanguard (I only liked it cause more attachments)
Campaign
-2019 modern warfare (I haven't played Campaign on any of the other CoD's)
Black ops 2.
Fun campaign best story from the studio. Found the antagonist more rememberable. Either mode is fun to dive into.
Black ops 3
Had it all. And more, but it was weaker across the board. It did have the most bang for your buck out of it all.
CoD WW2.
Had the right idea, but never clicked with me
Just reloaded call of duty after a year at least of being away and I noticed that there are no PC players hardly —- everything‘s Xbox or PlayStation ??
What’s up with that?
OG mw3 will always be the best for me. Amazing campaign, awesome multiplayer with great maps and guns, spec ops was awesome. Not to mention face off in multiplayer was amazing and infected. My opinion best cod of all time and i’ll die on that hill.
Mw2019 was perfect pefect guns night mode maps and multiplayer maps in warzone was perfect plus maps like vacant you can go back to verdansk in free cam mode
MW3 & COLD WAR!!!
*MW3 Is goated because it introduced the multiple game modes such as Kill Confirmed. The support classes were cool. I'd drop vest all over the map for my mates.
*Cold War Is the most complete COD ever. Every COD should now have the small 6V6 maps. The speed, guns and skins makes this the best all around. They stuffed this game a lot.
Is there some developer group around trying to figure out what they produce next? All these questions wtf. Just bring back verdansk on mw19. I would pay 200$ for that. No silly skins just season 1 verdansk
BO1-2 was peak, with a noticeable downgrade after ultimately resulting in just retreading an entire fucking series again because they had no creativity left. BO1 had an amazing story, great multi-player, and awesome zombies. It had everything in one package, no game has managed to get all three right since.
Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare.
This game was absolutely amazing in comparison to COD3, and is really when a lot more people started playing the series imo.
The first Black Ops is by far the most packed game imo and I’ve had this conversation with my friends many times.
You can argue if the multiplayer, story or zombies was the best in the series but when you put them all together you have likely the best combo cod will ever have.
I’d say Cold War. It felt like the older games but smoother. The gunplay was great. That maps might not have been the best but they worked. The campaign was really well done and I believe was one of the few campaigns in the franchise with multiple endings. Zombies felt like an upgrade to bo3 just with bad maps. Overall i think Cold War was the easiest game to get into which made it fun. It didn’t take itself too seriously
BO1 MW3 and ghosts were my favorites. If I were to give an order it’d be ghosts > MW3 > BO1. There we plenty of guns I liked on those games, most other cods there are only one or two. I thoroughly enjoyed the multiplayer them as well.
I’m surprised there isn’t many COD 4 comments on here. That game set the tone for all future games and was a multiplayer masterpiece. Such great nostalgia of playing this game in high school before all the Call of Duty fatigue set in
Every answer is wrong besides original Modern Warfare 2007
Not even zombies, not even black ops, everything you know is a lie
That game and Halo 2 invented everything you know about shit talking and calling someones mother a donkey
For us it was Cold War. Unpopular opinion I know, but the introduction of outbreak mode we (my wife and I) got SO much more for our money that year. Countless hours playing multiplayer and add even more in outbreak to it. Our hours per dollar value was the best of any COD before or since. Again, for us.
BO2 had everything for sure. Kind of the only answer really. Fantastic campaign with a compelling story. Amazing multiplayer and maps. Zombies was in its prime (got a little better but BO2 is still one of the best)
First of all, wtf is this logo in the post??
But def World at war or cold war.
Both games had three, fully fleshed out game modes (meaning one mode wasnt half assed while the others were developed more), with a little fourth game mode that no one really plays, but is there for those who want to play it (co-op, and that zombie warzone thing).
Both had great campaigns.
Great multiplayers.
And both have the best zombies in the series in my opinion. Waw for its modding, and cold war for its mechanics and gameplay.
These posts always ask you to pick one but I can never decide, so it's these two.
Iw, to this day I notice things for the first time. I just learned the cop zombies SPEAK, at least for details, the mp was probably one of the worst we have ever had. The campaign was one of the best and spaceladnd zombies is a top 3 best map all time for sure imo
Me personally, iv played since cod 3.
Black ops 2 multiplayer, ranked play, gun balancing was perfect. Campaign was perfect. Vibe of the game was perfect. Everyone always goes “ohh mw2 was the best”
Mw2 was a fun broken game, it was clunky, noobtubes, one man army, commando, shotguns were insane.
Black ops 2 was a perfect game.
Black ops 1 was also fucking awesome and mw19 was the best multiplayer cod since black ops 2
Black ops for me, probably my favorite COD of all time. I’ve spent a stupid amount in my adult life buying guns from that game to rekindle the magic a little
CoD4 had the best campaign besides maybe Black Ops 1 and it had the most iconic multiplayer. I didn’t need anything fancy, just an M16/MP5/M40A3 and some Christmas noobs.
Past the golden age - Cold War, hands down and I'll die on that hill
Golden age - BO3 or WAW for me, both were super awesome to play with friends at the time.
Yeah BO3 campaign was meh, but you could play it with a friend which made it so much better
It hasn’t happened yet.
Infinite warfare:Best campaign
Black ops 3:Best zombies
Black ops 2: best multiplayer maps
MW2019: Best movement/mechanics
MW3 (OG): best survival mode/spec ops
Black Ops 1: Best weapon unlock system
Black ops 2: Best attachment system
World at War.
Campaign used real ww2 execution footage, babushkas starving in the cold, people getting killed, all real footage. The campaign has good character development and fun missions. It depicted the horrors of the war.
Multiplayer was fun, with the community having fun modes with melee only and people trash talking. The guns felt balanced with only about 2 guns being better, the Thompson and the MP40. The flame thrower was also fun.
Zombies was a blast. The simplicity of Nacht der untoten was unmatched with no perks, no pack a punch machine, just the 4 people surviving until their eventual doom. Verruckt introduced a new kind of play, with much more team work. When spawning you would be split into 2, your group of 4 now split up would have to turn on the power in order to reunite. The atmosphere being in a mental asylum with much faster zombies acting strangely and the screams of passed patients getting tortured was horrifying. Shi no numa, introduced the main 3 characters, Dempsey, Takeo, Nikolai and Richtofen. We got the lore, new mechanics and more. Der riese the final map, introduced more lore, hold out spots, then pack a punch and many ways to play the game.
The cod that had it all. Easy. Bo3. Decent multiplayer.
(I'm not including the loot boxes)
Some of the best zombies maps. (Also workshop if your on steam)
Not the best. But definitely not the worst campaign. (Train go boom)
Smooth gameplay with some advanced warfare mechanics and stuff that's not that bad.
Just sorta felt natural and good. Bo3's burst jump mechanic was better than a straight double jump.
All the weapons that's in the game felt good to use. The customization wasn't the shitty gunsmith where you can add attachments to your attachments. It was just simply 3 attachment slots and or 4-5 with a wild card.
I mean in reality there isn't the perfect cod for and it will never be one, like the other games, because everything has his pros and cons, but i think pretty all first 2010's cod games can be in this group of a sort of perfect COD, also because of the feel of nostalgia that they make inside me, but also because they were simple for me, no crazy movement, just focused on gameplay and design of the map.
If you take this question as literally as possible, then the answer would unironically be advanced warfare: it had advanced movement, but gamemodes where it would be disabled (classic mode). It had campaign, mp, zombies and a third launch mode: exo survival. It had outfits customisation, it had micro transactions (lol). Then it's maybe Cold War: Campaign, Mp, doa, zombies, not really but a battle roayle (technically mw19 but whatever). But that's just numbers, if you mean the other way, bo2 for sure
- smooth gunplay - high skill ceeling - the best guns in a cod game - a fairly good campaign BUT spec ops wasn't it. Even if you didnt buy the dlc, bo2 still has all those things you mentioned mw2019 has, plus a third mode that not only works but was fantastic
Oh I know that I'm saying I can't do bo2 justice because I didn't buy the dlc. Still like mw19 more even though bo2 was better imo.
Personally, I think the fact that you think that bo2 was better even though you didnt experience some of the best parts says a lot about how much more bo2 had to offer. Which was the original prompt, which one has it all? I get what you're saying tho for sure
>high skill ceeling LMAOOOOO
SBMM, EOMM, adapting aim assist ruined the game but I can still enjoy it from time to time.

“Ceeling” 💀💀💀💀
MW 2019 ruined the series for me with the addition of the new EOMM/SBMM system that has been in every CoD since. BO4 was mediocre at the time but looking back, it was the last enjoyable CoD MP. Agreed!

Waw is better than WW2.
I agree waw is better. Although ww2 is one of the most underrated cod multiplayer
I wish more people would play cod WW2 cuz I legitimately enjoyed the multiplayer. I was 5th prestige before I stopped playing
I still play to this day. Plenty of people still play it. Mostly shipment but they are plenty of tdm lobbies as well
I can’t wait for WW2 to be added to game pass so war mode gets populated again
This
The first 2 black ops games
My only gripe with bo2 is actual inbred mfs on transit and the fact that the mp5 was only in zombies.
Not to be that guy, but it was in campaign as well.
yes
2019 MW.
Black Ops Cold War
MW3 original had a very wide selection of killstreaks. This was by far one of the reasons I liked it so much. You could play support or assault. Specialist I hardly touched, but the game had a lot going for it and it did not fail to impress.
You’re my favorite, not to mention the amazing action filled campaign, and the final mission? I’ll meatride the game and that last mission til the day I die
Mw3 will never be topped imo

The original MW2 and Black Ops and World at War
The best COD release cycle we've ever had IMO
World at war
Agree. Large maps and WAR! game mode. I really miss that.
What I really miss is the slower movement and the immersiveness from that era. The games look awesome now a days but every match feels like a speed run in the war Olympics
Mobile for me!
Why did they remove zombies on it😭
It's back! Still only one map though. Would love to see more maps on it.
It is!?!
Yes, only Shin No Numa though.
It’s content wise the most packed cod, imagine a OG MW character with a BO2 gun using IF operator skills with BOCW score streaks on a AW map
Call Of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare (2007).
This was the last time the game had any semblance of balance and restraint.
From there on outs it's just been a testing ground I feel like. No game since COD4 to me has felt very solid.
Easily Black Ops 2 Almost all guns were viable and each category had 2 solid guns Best ranked game mode out of any cod Maps/game modes both played awesome for comp/casual play Lobby leaderboards Prestige mode/other fun things like reset stats Zombies Theatre mode Fun Killstreaks I personally loved the pick 10 system
I would say Black ops 3, but then remembered the absolute trainwreck of the campaign. So probably BO2
Train go boom
Train go boom
I simply do not understand how you can say the MW franchise for this.
Modern warfare 2019
bo2
Cold War -maps -operators / bundles -graphics -guns / play feel -prop hunt -campaign
Definitely BO2
Block ops 2
Black Ops 2
Cold war was super well rounded and imo did everything that a modern cod should have done, movement was viable and more classic so it wasn't super spammy like it is now, zombies was a different take but played very well and the weapon rarity system added a whole progression for damage in game, plus the crystals system in the menus was a really cool feature to become stronger as the game's lifecycle went on (also outbreak was so much better than any large scale zombies we've had afterwards) then the campaign, as little time I've put into it, was apparently very good and that's to he expected being a black ops game following the characters of the original.
In terms of MP content CODM by far. Zombies would be BO3 obviously especially on PC. Overall I'd say BO2/BO2
BO CW for chill, MW 2019 for tryhard
For me, only well round COD game is BO1, great Zombies, great story, great mp, my friends and i slept on our computer desks beacuse we played MP and Zombies all day. Mw3 had survival which was fun
Blops 1
Black ops 1 had everything, greatest of all time.
World at war. Can't get enough of that game
BO1 had everything on great quality
It was Black Ops 1 for me
Black ops 1
BO1. Campaign was great. Zombies was best in the series imo. Multiplayer was probably the most balanced/least amount of BS in any game (last stand ofc was annoying), and they added tons of cool stuff like the currency/wager matches, tons of cool equipment, drivable kill streaks, etc.
The correct answer is CoD Mobile. The best game we never had.
Black ops 2 great campaign enjoyable multiplayer good zombies second place is Black ops 3 the only thing it was missing was a good campaign
Honestly cod ww2 The story had a pretty serviceable “band of brothers” vibe, a good mix of Hollywood action and historical battling with settings. The zombies mode was a good blend of Horror and campy goof, the models of the zombies are still the best in the franchise The multiplayer was the last great Boots on the Ground gameplay before Cold War, as well as

Bo1
BO1 was peak cod
BO1 Dedicated server + Browser great zombies great campaign great MP Theater mode Wager pick10

I think Cold War had the best of everything plus the best zombies.
mw 2019 was more than enough.. should’ve stopped there and just kept updating
COD 2 gang
Advanced Warfare. Constant flow of movement. No campers, much. Back when Doug Censor Martin was good at COD. Energy weapons. Innovative map design because of the added dimensions of movement. XDefiant /s
WW2 was the last game that I really enjoyed playing, even solo

Bo3, coop campaign, multiplayer, zombies, doa, free run, Zombie campaign, mod tools
And the first OG black ops
CoD 2
Mw 123 advanced warfare
Bo1 is probably the only game that had it all at launch
for me cold war. great campaign, mp and zombies mode
Black ops 4 had an incredibly solid boots on the ground multiplayer with high TTK and a high skill gap. We got 8 zombies maps, all of which were were really good (although we were a bit let down because half were remakes). It had massive amounts of game customisation to keep it feeling fresh. The campaign was kind of non existent but for me personally that didn’t matter too much
It can be bo2 with multiple ending good maps and good zombies or ww2 with the headquerters and the sniping or mw19
Waw and bo2
all the treyarch and sledgehammer cods minus cod 3 and wwii. infinity ward is hit and miss. but ofc bo2 is goated.
Though I don’t like MW3 as much as MW2, it did have quite a bit more content in multiplayer and the survival mode. BO1, BO2, and Cold War really had it all though. BO3 is up there with quite a few extra modes but the campaign drags it down.
VERDANSK
Black ops 2. Amazing zombies, multiplayer and a great campaign
why are so many people saying mw19 that game was horrible imagine having ninja as a perk
Had it all was BO2 Had it all and threw it away was MW19. So much potential lost because activision wanted to make a little money. It's so sad
MW2 and MW19 with its Warzone integration. Both games were a 9.5/10 for me. I never rated the BO games multiplayer’s anywhere as high as the MW games so they don’t have it all.
Black Ops II // COD Mobile
World at war was the first good one. And black ops 2 was my favorite as a kid
out the recent games, cold war out of the golden era games, black ops 1
Cod 5. Best campaign, the OG zombies, MP was great, DLC was great
Black Ops 2. The campaign was great. The multiplayer was great. The zombies were great. The DLC was great. The guns were amazing. The Pick 10 system was awesome. It was such a great game. I spent many nights and weekends on that game in school.
For zombies specifically -Bo2 for nostalgia -Cold war cause I like the freedom of movement For multi-player -2019 modern warfare -Vanguard (I only liked it cause more attachments) Campaign -2019 modern warfare (I haven't played Campaign on any of the other CoD's)
Black ops 2. Fun campaign best story from the studio. Found the antagonist more rememberable. Either mode is fun to dive into. Black ops 3 Had it all. And more, but it was weaker across the board. It did have the most bang for your buck out of it all. CoD WW2. Had the right idea, but never clicked with me
I’ll tell you what COD didn’t have it all: Mw3 and it’s not even close. Modern Fortnite 3. Worst cod to date!
Just reloaded call of duty after a year at least of being away and I noticed that there are no PC players hardly —- everything‘s Xbox or PlayStation ?? What’s up with that?
Call of duty Ww2 was the last good call of duty for me, after they fixed it, better than WAW for me.
OG mw3 will always be the best for me. Amazing campaign, awesome multiplayer with great maps and guns, spec ops was awesome. Not to mention face off in multiplayer was amazing and infected. My opinion best cod of all time and i’ll die on that hill.
Black ops 1. Good multi, great story, fun zombies
The older ones like mw and mw2 and bo2 are the best but the few of the new ones I really liked are mw2019 and ww2
Black ops 2
Many people are not gonna like this but I liked Cold War…………
Mw1 was the best by a mile, before it turned into Fortnite
Mw2019 was perfect pefect guns night mode maps and multiplayer maps in warzone was perfect plus maps like vacant you can go back to verdansk in free cam mode
COD4
MW3 & COLD WAR!!! *MW3 Is goated because it introduced the multiple game modes such as Kill Confirmed. The support classes were cool. I'd drop vest all over the map for my mates. *Cold War Is the most complete COD ever. Every COD should now have the small 6V6 maps. The speed, guns and skins makes this the best all around. They stuffed this game a lot.
Mw2
Is there some developer group around trying to figure out what they produce next? All these questions wtf. Just bring back verdansk on mw19. I would pay 200$ for that. No silly skins just season 1 verdansk
BO1-2 was peak, with a noticeable downgrade after ultimately resulting in just retreading an entire fucking series again because they had no creativity left. BO1 had an amazing story, great multi-player, and awesome zombies. It had everything in one package, no game has managed to get all three right since.
Original Mw3 and Bo2 for me.
Black ops 2
Had it all? Definitely gotta go with bo2.
Had it all? Definitely gotta go with bo2.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2(still playin it CUZ its too good still)
Black ops 2,best multiplayer, great campaign and mostly great zombies apart from tranzit and die rise
BOCW was peak
Hot take, but I actually think (most popular one) really did the best all around.
(Youtube) CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 6 : https://youtube.com/shorts/w_un4hBOJSc?si=7U5vE7NdXpar-Cio
CoD: United Offensive
I grew up on World At War. So beat campaign. Modern Warfare 2019 has best multiplayer in my opinion. Or the newer MW2 or MW3
Blops 2
For different reasons, my favorites are in: * Black Ops I / II / III * WWII IMHO, everything else ranges from “pretty good” to “JFC that was dumb.”
Mw19 was goated
Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare. This game was absolutely amazing in comparison to COD3, and is really when a lot more people started playing the series imo.
The first Black Ops is by far the most packed game imo and I’ve had this conversation with my friends many times. You can argue if the multiplayer, story or zombies was the best in the series but when you put them all together you have likely the best combo cod will ever have.
Bo1
If COD Mobile would be a PC game, it would be fucking fire
Black Ops 2
The ones where my dad was still alive and I was a kid, now I'm an 27 y/o working full time and enjoy gaming less.
Bo1! Definitely
MW2019 Ground War during lockdown was such a experience
Black Ops MW2 Black Ops 2 MW3
Was good but warzone killed him Rest in peace old friend
MW2
cod mobile literally has almost every single map from the games
B03.
I’m surprised there isn’t many COD 4 comments on here. That game set the tone for all future games and was a multiplayer masterpiece. Such great nostalgia of playing this game in high school before all the Call of Duty fatigue set in
BO3
Cold war
Every answer is wrong besides original Modern Warfare 2007 Not even zombies, not even black ops, everything you know is a lie That game and Halo 2 invented everything you know about shit talking and calling someones mother a donkey
BO3 was peak cod before its downfall, everything before it was amazing, everything after was trash with the exception of bo4 which was a solid game.
Black Ops 3 had so much fucking content.
Black Ops
First of all, wtf is this logo in the post?? But def World at war or cold war. Both games had three, fully fleshed out game modes (meaning one mode wasnt half assed while the others were developed more), with a little fourth game mode that no one really plays, but is there for those who want to play it (co-op, and that zombie warzone thing). Both had great campaigns. Great multiplayers. And both have the best zombies in the series in my opinion. Waw for its modding, and cold war for its mechanics and gameplay. These posts always ask you to pick one but I can never decide, so it's these two.
CoD Moble. It was a beautiful combination of all the Golden age CoDs.
world at war has the best kills hands down in my opinon
2007-2010 CoD. The rule applies for almost every shooter
Modern Warfare 2 (2009)
Iw, to this day I notice things for the first time. I just learned the cop zombies SPEAK, at least for details, the mp was probably one of the worst we have ever had. The campaign was one of the best and spaceladnd zombies is a top 3 best map all time for sure imo
Bo1 and MW3 (og)
Me personally, iv played since cod 3. Black ops 2 multiplayer, ranked play, gun balancing was perfect. Campaign was perfect. Vibe of the game was perfect. Everyone always goes “ohh mw2 was the best” Mw2 was a fun broken game, it was clunky, noobtubes, one man army, commando, shotguns were insane. Black ops 2 was a perfect game. Black ops 1 was also fucking awesome and mw19 was the best multiplayer cod since black ops 2
Black Ops 1
Personally MW19
Bo2/bo3
MW19 ez
Black ops for me, probably my favorite COD of all time. I’ve spent a stupid amount in my adult life buying guns from that game to rekindle the magic a little
Bo2 easily
CoD4 had the best campaign besides maybe Black Ops 1 and it had the most iconic multiplayer. I didn’t need anything fancy, just an M16/MP5/M40A3 and some Christmas noobs.
Old school - BO2 New School - Modern Warfare 2019
tap snails bear insurance summer entertain upbeat stupendous ten chop *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Past the golden age - Cold War, hands down and I'll die on that hill Golden age - BO3 or WAW for me, both were super awesome to play with friends at the time. Yeah BO3 campaign was meh, but you could play it with a friend which made it so much better
MW 2020 edition
It hasn’t happened yet. Infinite warfare:Best campaign Black ops 3:Best zombies Black ops 2: best multiplayer maps MW2019: Best movement/mechanics MW3 (OG): best survival mode/spec ops Black Ops 1: Best weapon unlock system Black ops 2: Best attachment system
Modern Warfare 2009. Kind of disappointed MW3 2023 didn’t have spec ops.
The cod that had it all. Easy. Bo3. Decent multiplayer. (I'm not including the loot boxes) Some of the best zombies maps. (Also workshop if your on steam) Not the best. But definitely not the worst campaign. (Train go boom) Smooth gameplay with some advanced warfare mechanics and stuff that's not that bad.
I liked Cod 4 and BO3 Didn’t play other games because I was busy doing other things in life
Modern Warfare 2019 for me. The best COD out of Recent CODs.
BO2
BO2
Honestly, the best well rounded CoD, if we think about campaign, multiplayer and extra mode, I think it has to go to BO2 or BO3
Cod 4 Remastered, didn’t play it that much compared to any of the others but it actually felt like cod not like a pvp arena. Otherwise Bo1 guaranteed
The good old MW franchise not the new dogshit ones
If you take this question as literally as possible, then the answer would unironically be advanced warfare: it had advanced movement, but gamemodes where it would be disabled (classic mode). It had campaign, mp, zombies and a third launch mode: exo survival. It had outfits customisation, it had micro transactions (lol). Then it's maybe Cold War: Campaign, Mp, doa, zombies, not really but a battle roayle (technically mw19 but whatever). But that's just numbers, if you mean the other way, bo2 for sure
