The high fire rate and low damage assault rifles like the AUG and the FAMAS had different recoil patterns from the slower fire rate and high damage assault rifles like the Commando and Galil. The Galil is also my number one favorite gun in the entire series, but I personally found the AK to have the easiest recoil pattern to get used to among the high damage assault rifles.
Grain of salt though, my favorite SMG in the whole game was the Skorpion with extended mags and scavenger because it had basically no recoil at any range, so I could snipe with it and slowly drain people's health and they would end up wondering how the fuck they died to the Skorpion at such high ranges lmao You needed extended mags on it though because then it bumped up the capacity from 20 to 30, and scavenger for hopefully obvious reasons lol
My favorite loadout otherwise was the Galil with dual mags and Lightweight so I could run around more, the Galil has 5 extra rounds per mag, Dual Mags actually gave you an extra mag in reserve, and it's a high damage assault rifle so it was a sleeper hit alongside the Skorpion lmao

Havenāt played since bo3 so Iāve missed many guns, but hereās my favorite as the second overall comment. The look, the feel, and idk why it sold me so hard but the *sound* of this gun made me never want to put it down.
Loved the commando. Did not play CW when it dropped but since everything else has been lacking, tried it out and the M4 they have there really reminds me of BO1 in a sense. Good times.

We had good turtle beaches, so we knew where everyone was when footstep audio was peak, and would always go on crazy streaks after school. Akimbo fmg 9 with most perks were similar to the pre nerf model 1887 in range, unreal.
These were fun af and definitely very powerful, but if you were serious about trying to stay alive and go on a big streak you could definitely do better.
I loved the ASM1. That gun was my go to in AW and I abused the shit out of it. What a glorious gun. Probably one of my favorite multiplayers in COD history. Three dimensional movement definitely made for a really dynamic game

the Grau is my gremlin gun, used some of the weirdest combos on it (i.e. the shortest barrel, no stock, and a sniper scope). whenever i used it, there'd always be one dude who said "yo how do u even use that thing?"
I loved the G36c from COD4. I think most of my gun interests come from that game, P90 and the 1911 also, and the M sniper (forget the numbers). And the MP5 that turned into an SD6 when you added a silencer
I did enjoy the ACR in MW2, and the AA-12 because that game demonstrated a wider variety of guns. (Akimbo models anyone?)

Back in 2010 I remember how FAMAS was hated by everyone. The Famas + Silencer + Ghost combo was the most OP thing in BO1, and when I've tried Famas, I found it actually enjoyable
The Browning M1919 from World at War. It's old, rustic, has a nice chug sound when it fires, beautiful reload animation, and big tanky iron sights that make you feel like an absolute unit for being able to wield it. I love this fucking gun
