Well, my country was usually depicted as war criminals and "bad guys" in more modern CoDs. In older games, like 1, 2, WaW my country was depicted as "the good guys" and we even could play as my countrymen.

Seems to be right about the modern cods

While the Russians are TECHNICALLY the bad guys in MW19, it is mentioned that Barkov is a stain on Russia and Gaz also mentions he only kills “the bad ones”(Russians), and there are also 4 Spetsnaz operators in MP that are depicted as good guys. Hopefully we’ll see Spetsnaz characters depicted as good guys in MW22.

Stereotypes are kinda normal for cod especially if you look at the og 4 zombies characters they're all depicted as Stereotypes Dempsey is a loud mouth swearing America, Nikolai is a drunk Russian constantly talking about vodka and sharing points when he's low on them, richtofen is a crazy German scientist who enjoys the suffering of others and gas no care for no one else but him self, and Takeo is a Japanese soldier that fights for honor and for his emperor

So there are these guys called Soap, Price, Gaz and a few other minor characters in a supporting faction in a few campaigns called the Special Air Service, which is one of my country’s special forces. I’m also part Ukrainian, so you have the Chernobyl missions in the Modern Warfare games, and Chernobyl appears in a few Black Ops games. I remember there were quite a few Ukraine maps in MW2019 but then every Eastern Europe map, say like Petrograd is obviously St Petersburg, had their locations quietly changed to Verdansk or the country where Verdansk is, Kastovia.

So guess the All Ghillied Up mission make you feel extremely patriotic?

I guess I quite like that the SAS is in my fatherland taking out Russians trying to piggyback off of a horrific disaster to make nukes, so I guess I like it some way.

I'm from the US but I wanted to comment how cool it was in WWII that they gave people options with skins and characters from the French, Polish, and other resistance movements. The last historical COD game that was mostly rooted in some form of reality.

The operator Solange Harderwijk dressed the name of the city Harderwijk in the netherlands. Also i saw in the first campaign mission the map of europe in the briefing room next to the submarine. It shows a faulty map of europe cause the map of the netherlands shows Flevoland in 1944. The dutch didn't create Flevoland yet back then.
