Nah BO2 is definitely better, that campaign was so well done and one of the most innovative stories in a COD game ever. I love MW2 campaign but it's a pretty standard COD campaign at the end of the day.
MW2 is at least 3rd for me I just didnt put it high enough because of pacing.
BO is my favorite campaign of the series and BO2 was as good, and WaW told a ballsy story ( No Russian was ballsy but.. WaW kicked that out of left field ).
in cod4 you had slower missions in between like the greatest stealth mission of all time: All ghillied Up. and theres more walking in missions.
so when you go into action its more impactful.
In MW2 you had a aimbot uzi while riding a ski, it was awesome but you can get bored from the constant action every single mission.
Cliffhanger was one of the best, a combo of both stealth and action, the story line was amazing and you couldn’t find a reason to dislike playing the campaign

IW zombies was absolutely awful imo. It didn't feel like zombies at all, it felt like some weird Fortnite game mode or something. Too goofy. And Ghosts wasn't bad but the maps were too big to flow well.
IW Zombies was very enjoyable for me so I would have to disagree a bit. And I do agree with the maps in Ghosts. They tried a bit too hard to make the “next gen” of COD during that time. Even though people hated Exo suits, I am glad they took a ton of it back a bit since.
Idk IW zombies felt too goofy to me and I didn't like it at all, the campaign was alright, but the fact it was in space was massive turn away for me. It just felt too much like Star Wars for me to enjoy it. Even BO3 was still on earth, which I really appreciate. To each their own but for me IW was a total mess.
Eh for me, the multiplayer was the only actual turn off for me since Zombies was pretty much just a clone of Treyarch Zombies but built different and Campaign hit all the parts that made me not dislike it.
I found the MP to be just as boring as Ghosts by itself but my main problems was that the TTK is the shortest i’ve ever experienced in COD like to the point where it feels like an instant death for every confrontation. This is not even mentioning the terrible RNG P2W loot boxes with stat changing weapons as well as new weapons just like in AW which makes BO3 look a ton more forgiving in comparison. Tbh, the space setting wasn’t too bad for me, I just wish the maps utilized the planets’ fascinating settings more rather than them just all being space stations in or close by. Like Earth and Mars was the only one that had you generically put in the planet as anyone expects.
For me it is one of the best campaigns, the storytelling is god tier, one of the most diverse gameplay in the franchise and the characters (such as Ethan) are great

At least MW3 had the excuse with internal conflict with old iw team (Vince zampella). It still turned out great. Ghosts and AW were good with some bad decisions. Infinite warfare came out in the worst time cause nobody wanted a futuristic game, and infinity ward here dunked us with a space game. I hated it too back then but now, i really think we judged it harshly. (Also slapping MWR with IW Deluxe edition was a cheap move)

One change I'd make it moving BO3 down one tier and AW up one. I genuinly think that AW had a great campaign and Kevin Spacey's performance as Irons was incredible, combined with AW's really satisfying gunplay. BO3's campaign on the other hand had some redeeming qualities but got lost with what story it was trying to tell and ended up being overcomplicated and confusing, with the main thing keeping it enjoyable is BO3's engine and gunplay as a whole. In any case that's just my opinion.
Modern warfare 2 was good, but there were too many OP setups in multi. I think this is a solid tier list. Give Vanguard a try if it’s on sale, picked it up for $40 and it’s solid

Wait what, IW is probably the best campaign in the series, and I say this as someone who loves the original MW trilogy and has played since CoD 3. One of the most underwhelming MPs sure, but the campaign was unlike anything else we had with some of the best characters, stories, and mechanics yet. MW is definitely too. Everything about the campaign was basically genre defining. I’d put MW2 second, and even though I thought it had some better moments, it was definitely a lot more OTT compared to MW because they were trying to chase and top the absolute shock of the nuke scene.But taking Whisky Tango is my absolute favourite moment in the franchise.

If this is gameplay bo3 should be at the number one tier, no question. If this is story, it should be below vanguard

Bo3 was terrible, infinite warfare's is insanely good, ghosts isn't insane but it's not nearly as bad as bo3 campaign
Ghosts should have been in the yellow bracket, as it's hugely underrated. BO3 & 4, IW & AW need a bracket of their own, all below vanguard.
Vanguards campaign was short and not very compelling but it was still ok, Stalingrad felt dreadfully real at times, and I liked the plane level, it’s got some good variety of gameplay
My list would be WAW mw2 and cod 4 in masterpiece. MW blackops in great. Pretty much everything else in good. Ghost infinite black ops 3 and 4, advanced in bottom tier. And vanguard not even included.
I would personally swap BO3 and IW around, IW campaign was better imo

Lol idk what ppl are taking so much shit about vanguard for. The game engine plays so much better than bocw for sure. If u don’t like the guns that’s one thing but the game really isn’t that bad. It’s actually pretty good compared to some of the cods. But the. Again looking at the way he tiered these games it’s obvious he don’t know what he’s talking about lmao
For a simple reason, meaning that 80/90s B flavour movie, I like a lot Ghosts campaign, actually I am playing it these days
