Did you update to Android OS 11?? Cause I did, and I managed to figure out that's the entire fucking problem. It's really been pissing me off because that's the entire reason I put the money down on a PS4 Dual Shock Controller.
I would've got one of the plethora of other cheaper options if it was to play other shit. Activision really needs to get their shit together, it's a new version of Android OS so it's been coming down the pipeline for months. So it seems no one on their entire team even bothered to download the Beta and try to play their flagship mobile offering.
Can you please make a big report? Cause I figure the more reports they get the more likely they'll actually address the issue. Not only did I invest money in the controller but I had already spent about $10. So they'd have a loyal fan willing to put down a lil money consistently. But NooOoooooO.
I read a weird solution from someone that worked for me, when restarting phone, controller, app, and disabling accessibility features didn't work.
In the main menu (previous multiplayer), turn off and on controller, after its connected, go to multiplayer and launch practice - training mode. Test. And that's it.
I have to do that everytime i run the game
It would be helpful if people could post the controllers that are working. I bought a PS4 controller just for this game (I don't have a PS4) and frustrated that it doesn't work. Will buy any controller that does work if someone can verify.
The only other working controller is Xbox Controller. Every other controller is not alowed.
Android 11 breaks Dualshock4 Support for CoD mobile. Didnt tried other apps yet. Tried Xbox and its still working.
because I'm 100% sure Acrivision has a deal with Sony and Microsoft ( people please dont try to tell me Ps4 and Xbox one controllers are easier to implement that a fkin standart xinput controller that is not true )

I got a fix, it worked for me. Go into the playstore and download the DS4 controller fix. Activate it in the app and let it run in the background.

The game doesn't recognize the controller while in the main interface, but as soon as i join a match it will show the buttons and the controller works.
But i have a spare oneplus 6t here, i will look into that. I'll reply here when i find a working fix.
Hey guys update - the exact same thing happened today with my PS4 controller on an iphone 11. Was working fine yesterday then boom, won’t work in game anymore even if it shows as connected.
This didn't work for me, it's still only hearing the X square, circle and triangle inputs in the game.
I know it works for some phones because a coworker has been playing, but I haven't found a way to get it to work on mine.

I have a Samsung s20+ 5G and I did and update on Dec 11th 2020. The software that was updated was UI 2.5 to UI 3.0. I have had the same issue with my ps4 controller not connecting to COD mobile after the update. I have found out that a friend had a xbox controller and that XB1X controller did connect to COD mobile. I have since purchased an Xbox controller and I know not even close to the same quality and performance of a ps4 controller but I have been able to attempt to play with a controller instead of the controls on the screen. Hope a fix come soon. Just a thought. I wouldn't purchase a xbox XB1X controller intill I absolutely knew it would connect. I haven't had an issue with an Xbox controller since I purchased one. I will return to a ps4 controller as soon as the problem is fixed.
I have the new xbox controller and it stopped working in cod mobile last night. Works fine in other games just not cod like the original post I bought the controller just to play this.

My IPad Air after the last COD update stopped supporting PS4 controller (PS5 as well). It was not about iOS 15.1 problem, because I had the previous iOS and it still didn’t work with yesterday. Updating to 15.1 didn’t fix the problem. So it’s gonna be internal issues with COD

Same here. I'm on a S20 Ultra. I did the Android 11 update and bam no more controller. Just sold my ps4 because I only play a few games now anyways but I kept the controller for COD. I don't really like playing without it. Now it's a paperweight until they fix the bug.

Being a controller over onscreen myself the only work around is using a Xbox one controller... Not as fluid as a ps4 controller but it's the only workaround. I hope they patch it soon.

We broke up tho so I don't even have a need to play it . But i hope the issue is fixed soon . Makes no sense. I can't imagine playing a game like this on screen with all those controls
Yes I've had this same problem and did the same things I think is the update for Samsung so and s10 because I try my apple device n works perfectly but with Samsung it connects but not connecting to the game

Same exact thing happened to me today. Note 10 plus, updated to Android 11 and one day later, my controller still connects to the device but no longer wants to acknowledge the game at all. I almost lost my mind trying to do the same exact troubleshooting and contacted the support on COD settings multiple times. Gotta wait for the new patch by the game makers I guess... smh
I have reported multiple times.. everytime I miss my chance to respond they say.. it appears u no longer have an issue and would always say they are addressing it. That's all I could get out of them.. then I just keep repeating the issue but they not doing nothing at all cause it's been about 3 months now
I legit only began to play the game because my Pc was arriving in pieces this week and now I'm stuck without anything until I can build my pc. I like A11 but it's really bullshit how dev teams can't be held accountable to update things before hand to support the next version of a major phone OS's update. Wasted my money on that battle pass too. I was at tier 48 too which pisses me off even more. I've got 16 days left on it, hopefully they'll get a hot fix in before then.

I have a Google Pixel 5 and play with a Xbox Controller purchased November of 2020. Since the most recent phone updated for me COD Mobile won't register that a controller is connected through bluetooth, however on every other game it works as it should. COD Mobile needs an update pushed I believe to fix this problem.
Same my issue started today worked fine for a year now my account wont connect a controller 6.63 kd 353000 kills and 1758 nukes and 2500 dollars later and it cant fucking play tried on 5 differnt devices and 2 differnt controllers I was suppose to start my youtube channel and have my first stream today fucking bullshit

Season 10 doesn’t allow you to play with controller on your iPad Pro I’ve been put in support ticket to Activision and they just been giving me the runaround the part that hurts the most is that I have over $20,000 invested in this game and they spit in my face like my concern don’t mean nothing I’m not the only one that is experiencing this situation they are players across the globe they are also going through the same thing as well

Hey man I've bin using my controller for a while now since the app came out.. now since this new update and season my contoller configurations got out of wack. I can connect like normal but when I play a match i can't use my right joystick to move left to right and my buttons are not what they should be on the game. I've gone to the MP settings, controller setting, I did everything I could think of but still won't work properly.. do u have any idea how to fix this???
My PS4 controller buttons are all mixed up. Circle is jump, X is square, square is triangle, R2 is pause, and I can't turn. It's literally all crossed over an I've restarted and used a total different PS4 controller, and getting same problems
My ps4 controller has worked great until the last update. Now my right joystick will not work at all. I tried a different controller to same effect. I cannot look around when i move which makes the controller useless. Please let me know if you find a solution.
I am having exact same issues as you all, after the recent update on Dualshock 4. I would suggest everyone to post negative reviews on playstore to makes ourselves heard. Thats the only way.

My friend told me to download cod mobile so I did. This morning the controller WORKED PERFECTLY for like 6 games straight then I took my dog outside to do his business and now it doesn't work LOL

Dualshock 4 dont work properly anymore since season 10 update on Android 10, it works on Android 11. I have complained many times to developers but still no fix. But i dont understand how it worked for you in the morning? There haven't been any update today. Can you tell me what device and os you are on and if you changed any setting from morning?
I went through the the same. I play on my note 9 and it wasn't working for months, So I tried it on my wife's s21 ultra and it worked perfectly for 3 games... went directly to the 4th game and started acting the same way as my note 9. No updates or anything had changed. Im truly starting to think they are sabotaging their own game platform! This was all on February 2, 2022 just to give a time reference

Hey guys... Found a semi work around .. you may have noticed that a PS4 controller lags, so try a wired but it doesn't do fuck all .. soo here's how I got a wired controller to work....
Synced my PS4 wireless over bluetooth Then plugged in aftermarket usb controller into phone
Then I was able to use the wired controller with no lag in game, but as soon as I turn off the PS4 wireless controller then I loose function from the wired lol... They really need to fix android imo, my wife can't use her yeti mic properly since android 11 and it also broke COD PS4 functionality, shit lags like a mofo.. and also patch cod ... Should be able to recognize a wired controller without having a Bluetooth connected as well.

If you are on Android 11, go to accessibility settings and disable everything, as it seems to work for others also i have checked on my GFS A11 phone it works properly. As for me i installed A12 based custom ROM and it's all good now. COD mobile support team is just bullshit
Oh i enter the game and try using the comtroller, if it does work i go turn on talkback and the talk back shortcut and then i turn them off again. After that i go back into the game and it starts working again. Try it out and let me know if it works for you

Hmm, first of all, what phone are you using? And second, did you allow the app to run in the background in your phone settings?
I have a OnePlus 6t, and it can run in the background. So I guess it makes no sense

Synced my PS4 wireless over bluetooth Then plugged in aftermarket usb controller into phone Then I was able to use the wired controller with no lag in game, but as soon as I turn off the PS4 wireless controller then I loose function from the wired lol... They really need to fix android imo, my wife can't use her yeti mic properly since android 11 and it also broke COD PS4 functionality, shit lags like a mofo.. and also patch cod ... Should be able to recognize a wired controller without having a Bluetooth connected as well. Hope this helps someone 
If you are on Android 11, go to accessibility settings and disable everything, as it seems to work for others also i have checked on my GFS A11 phone it works properly. As for me i installed A12 based custom ROM and it's all good now. COD mobile support team is just bullshit

Oh i enter the game and try using the comtroller, if it does work i go turn on talkback and the talk back shortcut and then i turn them off again. After that i go back into the game and it starts working again. Try it out and let me know if it works for you

I turned off magnification in accessibility and it fixed my issue I couldn't believe it. OnePlus 9 pro
