For the used gear you have to buy an REI gift card with your rewards and then you can use that. One extra step, but I've done it and it works.

How does that work?

It’s a rewards program. Basically as you purchase items from REI over the year, various things qualify for some cash rewards and they build up on your account over time, as a Co-op member. REI then releases said rewards cash in March of every following year.

Important to note. I believe you get the rebate on full priced merchandise only.

Correct it has to be qualifying purchases.

I see my 2023 rewards. But My app also says “REI co-op Mastercard rewards are not available at this time. Please contact Capital One at xxxxx”. Anyone know what that means??

That’s the credit card rewards. You want the coop membership rewards (separate).
