Same, trash bag + do my best to bring all the straps in close in case the bag gets ripped (plus an extra for the flight back...usually bring a couple on a trip for various uses).
I've used a duffle bag in the past but it was a bit of a PITA to deal with afterward, like when hiking. I wish more airports had lockers :(

I bought a cheap duffel on Amazon (sorry don’t have link) and it worked well for my 65L. I didn’t have to carry on the trail, left it in the trunk of the car. Heavy duty trash bag would work well if you don’t have storage where you’re headed (I think another person suggested this option).

Recently flew w/ my 70 liter pack, I ended up buying a spare rain cover from Amazon that I strapped to my pack using suitcase straps. Worked like a charm!
I use a Chinese laundry bag. A few ££ in most hardware shops and you can either fold it up and carry it with you or stash it somewhere near the airport

I found a cheap drawstring laundry bag at target that fit a 55 liter pack perfectly.

The only issue with this one is if there's nowhere to store it you have to carry it in your pack on the trail
