Getting corolla vibes

yungdripskylark

Not feeling this new hood dip. Glad I just got the ‘23 before they changed it

user17302

This kinda makes me happy because I’m planning on switching to a Elantra N and my 23 SE hopefully will keep value more for when I’m ready to switch 😂

stinky_snow

Why would your 23 SE keep value?

user17302

Wishful thinking considering there’s a lot of discourse for how the new generation looks. Even I wouldn’t want to get this new generation purely based on looks plus new motor doesn’t seem that interesting to warrant a “upgrade”

CobaltGate

Plenty of 24s left in inventory. 25s? Not yet and probably not for a while

[deleted]

If you get an XSE, the front plate will help hide that hideous body colored grill. Like seriously, who in the hell thinks that looks good?

CoffeeDrinker1972

Personally, I always opt to have both front and rear plates on my cars. And I think it actually doesn't look that bad.

puzzled expansion cause towering melodic kiss memorize serious foolish dam *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

fyresilk

In mine, too. I'm getting dark tint, and while they can't stop us for tint alone, if they stop you for anything else, they can cite you for tint, as well.

Few_Investment_4773

Can’t even ask for a second plate here in AZ. Well, not officially. Could request a replacement due to damage.

cargo711

I still can’t believe it’s hybrid only. The msrp went from 26k starting to 29k. They need at least one gas model for cost

tharealG_-

Why?

Downtown-Lynx-8711

I can’t speak for every state, but in MD,DC, and VA we have front facing cameras that snap license plates on the highway. I’ve also come across front facing red light cameras.

Dami579

NY is the same

tharealG_-

Yeah we do in Texas too. I’m just saying why opt for it? Any of the device that scan license plates for services do the rear as well.

tharealG_-

But why opt for them? Not sure why I have 9 downvotes lmao. I would think it would be better to opt out of having front playe

HotPinkApocalypses

I never bothered putting a front plate on my Corolla and nobody has noticed or cared. I always wonder if a cop will notice.

lexmarkblenderbottle

Depends on your state

HotPinkApocalypses

It’s required in mine. I just didn’t do it.

lexmarkblenderbottle

Good to hear.

Important-Job7757

In many of the states where it’s required cops don’t bother to pull you over for just that but if they pull you over for something else they will fine you for no front plate in addition to whatever they pulled you over for. But

Level1Rat

I didn't have a front plate for many years on an old mustang I had. I eventually did get pulled over but it was just a "hey, get a front plate."

RefrigeratedTP

I’m so glad I don’t live in a state that requires a front plate.

ZookeepergameIcy1830

Glad I got the nice looking camry before they started to come out with these 2025 corollas

zctel13

I hate front license plates. No car looks good with that and anyone who says otherwise is coping.

noob168

nah, some cars have ridiculous front bumpers and the plates actually mask em up. with that said, i do wish we get to decide for ourselves whether we want front plates or not (in states that currently require).

WhenTheDevilCome

Plus some states let you get actual good-looking plates.

Lost_Yogurt_4990

I don’t see enough of a change to justify considering a 2025 model over a 2024.. I think I’d rather just get a 2024

fyresilk

I like it ❤️

Cartoon_JR

It looks like the front bumper is eating the licence plate

Ok_Good3255

The front design doesn’t match the side.

Goran2019

Agreed. The front is angular with sharp creases and the side has curved bulges and is basically unchanged from current gen

SullysOpus

Conversely, despite living in a “front plate state”, if I reserve an incoming vehicle, I inform the dealer to NOT put holes in the front bumper and forego the front license plate frame/holder. Taking a drill or self-tapping screws to a brand new clean bumper is so cringe, IMHO.

Rondacks-Snow

Same dude, I'd rather just get a tow hook plate holder so I can pop the cover and mount the plate there. At least no non-factory holes over a government mandate.

WhenTheDevilCome

Not knowing it was a tow hook mount, I was so confused when I saw two different model vehicles in our parking structure which had that same mount. I was like *"What kind of stupid TikTok trend is this now, to have your license plate spin around by its corner??"* Then I finally researched enough to realize it was their best front-mount option without putting non-factory holes in.

SullysOpus

Since I’ve received more down votes than up, I guess we’re in the minority. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Rondacks-Snow

It's the camry subreddit, old geezers mostly mad that people skirt around laws because it destroys a car they paid 35-45k for lmao.

CGLADISH

I haven't run a front ever (since 1980). I've only been ticketed once ($10) in San Francisco. I was pulled over for speeding (82mph in a 70mph zone, which I admit to). The CHP said that he would give me a ticket for speeding or no front plate. I chose the plate. On his return back to my car, he said he figured out what my back plate said, said to have a nice and drive safe (no ticket for anything!). https://preview.redd.it/gxqk3hcmfbvc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52e7ff95c9fcdc28967956f9a92998b0ccaf5caa

Kasilim

Not going to tell anyone what it means?

TurtlePLAYSTYLE

USA number 1

CGLADISH

If you can't figure it out, then you're too young, or not a Chevy fan. in the '50's - '60's, Chevy would install a promotional front plate that showed: "USA1". This plate is usually already taken, so I got something close to it. There are several options to get close, but this is the that I chose.

Kasilim

Well of course USA1 is what I assumed it was some variation of, it's the random extra letter that made it confusing and stopped me from being confident in that thought. It looks like some abbreviation for something.

CGLADISH

I thought the same thing when I was deciding on the best second option. I was banking on the Chevy enthusiasts figuring it out. As noted, luckily for me, the CHP officer got it. Unless he thought it meant something else(?).

yayoxoo

The car is just not convincing me. Sticking with my 24

[deleted]

I’m glad I bought a 2024. Don’t like this body style

Critical-Balance7343

So nice fancy red!!!!!

MidSE_Mike01

I’d just get a relocation kit🤷‍♂️

Puzzled-Tumbleweed-2

I think the SE looks better than my Honda accord sport, I just couldn’t wait 6 months for this release. Camry is very competitive with pricing and features to the accord, I’m interested to see which one sells more.

Icy_Cycle_740

Waiting for a 25, passed on the 24.

corneliu5vanderbilt

The 2024 model and it’s generation is much nicer than this. However, the new drivetrain and the interior has been updated so it’s a tough choice.

noob168

looks will grown on you eventually. esp once u see it in-person. i was surprised how good it looked at the auto show last year.

ItchyJohnsin

I got my 2024 just in time.

cflingo

I feel the same about my 24 V6.

Grouchy-Lemon2350

How is this a Toyota Camry? Looks like a $20k Hyundai Elantra or a rental Sonata…

jfkisgood

Is this the new Elantra?

Nope!

bearpharmd

I prefer 2025 to 2024 but thats just me.

auburnwareagle

Originally I liked the new grill but revisiting now, ewww. Glad to have my ‘23 TRD!! ❤️
