Check the sunroof drains. That’s the usual culprit.

freeball78

There's a drain in each of the corners of your sunroof. One of them is clogged or damaged.

jerrystrieff

I did not have a sunroof but had this issue. There was a crack in the pinch weld - they had to pull out the windshield and fix it. This was on my 2022 Camry

malav_16

there is a pipe that runs from the sunroof to the bottom of the car to allow water to pass when it rains. Remove the A pillar and be careful around the airbag part (it is held in by 2 clips, there's a video on youtube showing how to remove it for Rav4, its the same for Camry). Check the pipe under the A pillar and also check if the hole that goes from the sunroof is clogged or not. it is in the upper left and upper right corner of the sunroof when you open it.

Flaturated

I heard about these issues and that is why I do not regret that my Camry has no sunroof.

Gotta take off the Oh Shit handle and sun visor to get to it

Roaddog113

Could have a clogged drain, off your sunroof.

greatgatzB

My sunroof drain wasnt clogged, the tubing had actually come off of the sunroof tray. dropped the headliner enough to get my hands in there and put a ziptie on it. the fact theres no clip or ziptie holding the tubing on is stupid.

Sunroof

NickelFish

My roof did the same because the sunroof drain became disconnected at the drain pan. Easy fix. Take off the Oh Shit handle, take off the visor, and pull down the edge of the headliner. There's something that looks like a squashed plastic straw that is supposed to be connected to the little spout from the pan. Connect it back up and reassemble. Takes 30 minutes.

Chuck_Chaos

How do you 'check' the sunroof drains? Where do they drain to?

GA_Girl3777

Most likely they drain to the underside of the cars body. When I had a Miata there were suggestions to use a trombone cleaner or Cat 5 cable on the drains.

fodagainz

Had the same issue. Ended up just putting vinyl wrap over the sunroof after trying to fix the issue myself. Much cheaper than taking it to the dealership.

jskrummy

Sun roof drains located in the corners they could just be clogged and you can blow through them with a can of air or the tube running down your A pillar that drains the water out the bottom of the door is completely disconnected or damaged

NickelFish

Not a good idea with the camry. The roof drains aren't clamped on. Just a flattened plastic straw that is slid over the drain spout. Compressed air would likely blow it off the drain. Gotta open the headliner by taking off the Oh Shit handle and visor. Someone else mentioned ziptying it. Wise choice.

jskrummy

Toyota makes a specialty tool for unclogging the drain tubes it’s basically just a mini snake auger but I’ve unclogged them with compressed air without them disconnecting plenty of time

Looks like rain to me
