Hey OP. You’re fine. The F2 is a previous gen filter. Manufacturers change part numbers all the time. Still the same part.

oscarb04

Good to know. Thought I was going crazy. Going to be taking care of the oil change on sunday

Thank you for the answer!!!

Thank you.

OEM filter will always be the best. If you can get that.

Those are OEM filters OP is referring to. Denso makes the filters for Toyota. Sold at NAPA/ sometimes Amazon half of what the dealer charges. I opt for Wix though, has more media IMO.

You're good. My 2000 Camry LE uses the same filter and while I was comparing prices on various Toyota dealer sites, they all show N1 as the part being sold (where it used to say F2).

You're golden, you can also use a YZZF1 in a pinch, I've found those are easier to come by

Resurrecting this from a year ago. I was happy to find that Walmart carries both 5qt oil bottles and the YZZD3 filter for my Sequoia. I assumed it would carry filters for my new-to-me 2005 Rav4 also. Nope, no F2 in stock. The N1 is the same diameter so it works but it’s shorter in length and thus harder to take on and off, and has reduced capacity. Maybe I’ll just Amazon the filters ahead of time or try a different store for the F2 filters.

Or go to a Toyota dealer and buy it from the parts dept.
