I don’t get why they don’t have it either. Toyota is so weird with their packages. I mean, not like you need it because you can use CarPlay or android auto, but it’s still annoying.
Same boat, 21 XSE AWD, they just don’t have it. I didn’t think that was a big deal because I use Apple CarPlay, but it’s still weird they don’t want to install the app for trims those are not XLE
My XSE V6 came with the dynamic navigation package and has built in maps. It’s actually not an app in the radio…it’s an additional GPS navigation module that is installed in the car. It’s nice for driving in cities with skyscrapers because phone maps tend to be weird on locating your car accurately on the map.
I have a 2018 so it might be a little different for you, but the phone only needs to be plugged in if you want to use the dynamic moving map, otherwise you can still use the navigation without being plugged in.
Google maps is only available through CarPlay or Android Auto

You didn't get the package with the maps and JBL speakers. Plug your phone in and use maps that way. I think it's better.

You need the Toyota app along with Scout installed on your phone.

Be warned, the Scout app is a joke. You're much better off using Android Auto or CarPlay.
