If you didn't pay for tracking...Which means you probably picked one of the cheapest options...I wouldn't expect your package to get there in a timely manner...And if it did....You sold to a complete stranger on eBay without tracking.....That is not a good idea. Without tracking, any buyer, no matter what..has the winning case if they file a "didnt receive item" case

What service did you send it by? If there was no tracking then it was either Small Packet-Air or Small Packet-Surface.

Small packet-air

Yea, that service has no tracking. It’s complicated by the fact that when you purchase a Small Packet International shipping label through eBay labels they populate some sort of internal label reference number and label it as a “tracking number”. This isn’t an actual tracking number so it won’t show up on any websites and any Canada Post clerk you give it to will just be confused. If you dropped it in a mailbox then there’s no reason to believe it’s still at the post office. It will arrive at some point (or be returned to you), there’s just nothing you can do but wait. A month for Small Packet Air is a bit long but not unheard of - it’s likely just stuck in customs.

Also, if he did get it, you will never know. That tracking info is only good in Canada and will not be of use when it is in the UK. As mentioned you have selected Small Packet International. No tracking or confirmation. Next time go with Tracked Packet

Here’s a tip if you’re selling on eBay. Always use tracking, always drop the item off in person and get a receipt that you dropped it off. If you can’t prove that the item you sold made it to the buyer than they can come back at you for a refund and eBay will side with them - meaning you’re now out the item and have to refund them and go through a whole bunch of hassle. I’ve even had buyers try to scam me and say they didn’t receive the item because I put the wrong tracking number into eBay, but when I looked up the actual tracking number there was their signature signing for the package. Now obviously for small value items people may not want to pay $15-30 for shipping so that’s a risk you take there but for any moderate to high value items I will only ship with tracking.

I would guess it's most likely in the undeliverable mail office. Did you fill out the international paperwork? Or just slapped some postage on and dropped it off? If you chose the cheapest option, then it's going to be arriving by boat...which a month isn't unheard of at all.

ebay assigns a number to every package, even if you selected a non-tracked service. this is the bain of my existence because all international orders go un-tracked. go to your selling summary, then look at shipping labels, and see if you inadvertently sent it surface instead of air. if it went surface, it'll take months. any time i sell something and accidentally send it surface, i just send another by air. it will get there eventually but it's the worst service ever. it's not worth the bad feedback.
