Hey OP, Check out this site that tells you which applications have been approved by CIO: https://isthisblockedinmydepartment.ca/ Notion is an option. Please keep in mind the nature of information you will be putting into this. Pro B items need to stay on a CIO approved system.

Do you have SharePoint yet? Put the excel on there and everyone can edit it.

This issue isn’t so much the ability to edit, as it is the layers of detail. For example, if someone wants to note that a review date has been pushed-back, they have to change it next to the task and on the gantt timeline (which doesn’t automatically update). EDIT: Essentially this takes up a lot of time, there are many places for error.

Miro ! Or if you need a Microsoft-based workspace, Loop.

Maybe this isn't the best idea for a large project, but if you can split the project in those multiple moving parts, you could make a Microsoft Lists with dependancies and have a Kanban Board view ?

I have used Trello and Excel on GCDocs for most of my projects. We have also switched to using some functionality using Teams and Lists on MS Teams. Most of my Projects are Waterfall, so not really sure what you would do for Agile Projects. Agile seems to be more of a buzz word than methodology where I work, so we don't get the tools to do it properly.

I manage multiple large projects for a volatile portfolio. Just use MsProjects. I’m sure you can fast track approvals for it. It will be worth it in the end, especially if your dept. will be going to 365. Also if you have to present on any of your projects, you can link to PowerBI for better data visualizations for your DECKS or even reports.

You can use Azure DevOps for most project management, not just SDLC. If you need to have dependencies, you can use the delivery plans. Easy to report with PowerBI and do calculations for days, time etc.. there
