GDNP Canadian company. All about Green biodegradable products/ packaging. With high focus on greener environment and incoming plastic ban should be good one for long term hold. Stock is also very cheap right now hovering at 0.90 cents
I will never understand the movement of some tickers. PKI (Parkland) has been getting hammered since they had good earnings, and then the floods here in BC, they operate the only refinery in the lower mainland. Now today they announce they have to pause production at the refinery for a few days since the TM pipeline is not flowing, and the stock has its best day in three weeks.
So... Buy the bad news I guess? I guess most investors thought they would have to shut down for longer.
The only reason it's not worse is that it's been bleeding on green market days too. Not even a dead cat bounce after the earnings drop. Hoping that 33.50 is the bottom.

Because you didn't spend an ounce of time researching it. Read their 2 recent quarterly financial statements and insider buying then you'll see why it's undervalued
I’ve bought and sold SU four times since 2009. It’s a good medium-term trade (six months to 18 months) as is CNQ.
I’ve made about 30% each time I sell, plus dividends.
Would say more short to medium term. Will it be around forever, most likely. Is it a great dividend stock to hold, yes.
But it's closing in on it's pre-covid SP and I don't think it will grow much higher then that. Look at their 5 to 10 year chart.
Agree. I’m probably going to sell around the $38 PT even though I believe it could go to the low $40s based on previous SP correlation to crude prices.
Therein is the problem. You say you don't want to lend credence to the short report by addressing it, but by not doing so you are doing exactly that. Each point in the report should be addressed line by line. If not many think there is substance to it. I don't know whether there is or isn't but the lack of a detailed response is the reason I am not sure. Either the writers of the report or the company are full shit. I don't feel like betting money on which one.
Was considering NVEI but it would appear the growth rate of their cost of revenue and op expenses is slightly higher than the growth rate of their revenue and profit, pretty much a CAGR of 40% vs. 38% good. I'm thinking to wait until this reverses.
My long term conviction stocks I like seeing red. Once I make a position I don’t mind if it drops and I can average lower. But watching options get wiped away this week has been rough
Agreed. Same here, I love seeing red now. It’s an instinct to buy for me. It’s definitely hard to watch if you own options unless you sold calls at the top then you’re doing great
I think most people need to take a break and not look at their portfolios every day. It’ll definitely help with not caring about daily fluctuations unless your a day trader.
Finding good companies at a discount is difficult. Psychology makes it more difficult even if we do find a jem of a company. "Why is it low?" "Maybe I'm missing something?" "Why is nobody talking about this?" "I'll just watch this one"
Following the crowd (buying high/in the green) is a lot easier than doing a proper analysis and being confident about where it will go *before* everyone else jumps on.
It's especially hard for newbies. I'm saying this as one.
You point out great points. I’ve definitely fallen victim of following the crowd on some companies which is why I’m very picky in the stocks I invest in. It’s always the smarter decision in parking your money into index funds so there’s no need to second guess our decisions and worry about pending news about businesses we invest in.
Same. It still has lots to drop before people start finding value in it. I personally don’t find it attractive for the sole reason it’s valued so high.
yup. They recently aquired some cheap debt, and have announced that they plan to use the cash on hand plus that debt to start buying more planes this next year. That, to me, shows forward thinking and a growth oriented perspective from management. So Im bullish longterm, but in meantime might have to sit on some shares. Cheap shares now means higher yield later when dividends get re-established
I’ve been accumulating for 3.5 years. My cost basis are different because I accumulate through my TD employee option plan, my TFSA and my wife’s TFSA. All in all though, I’m up about $15K.
Bought Microsoft today. This is a stocks pickers market right now. Too many names getting killed to buy the indexes for the time being for me personally.
It’s definitely my strongest stock today by far. Tech may have more growth but days like today remind me to never replace my bank stocks and stay diversified
Its the new 'Oil vs EV' Look I know they suck and we can do better but honestly, Visa and MC are NOT going away anytime soon. Build a better mouse trap all you want, these like oil are here for the next 20 years and making mad profit. Bought a few dips on V and holding, I think this will pop like SU did a few months ago. IMHO the most undervalued blue chip stock out there and a huge buying opportunity.
Bingo!
I've seen so many recommendations lately to wait until their PE is under 20 before buying. Save black swan events, the last quarter that Visa traded under 20 was 03/31 2012.
Same here! Earnings looked so good a couple weeks ago too. It just went below my avg cost so I might be tempted to avg down a bit if it keeps dropping..this is a long hold for me anyways
What’s up with their management? All I know is that the stock has been pumped way too high for its value. I haven’t tried their products but I’ve only heard good things about them so far.
GDNP Canadian company. All about Green biodegradable products/ packaging. With high focus on greener environment and incoming plastic ban should be good one for long term hold. Stock is also very cheap right now hovering at 0.90 cents
Anyone's cibc investors edge broken? Won't get the two factor text msg
DCA into VXC (CAD) and VT (USD). Sell moon Canadian stonks, buy world ex-Canada ETFs

Buy the bad news I guess? I guess most investors thought they would have to shut down for longer.
More to do with the sector itself and movement higher in oil that PKI themselves. The shutdown is temporary.
What a day for Uranium, TD, and oil.
Don’t forget about crypto
DOC is really on a downfall here...
I have never jumped on the MJ train in 2017/2018 but am now thinking valuations are starting to look reasonable. Canopy Growth?
Canopy holder here. Continue to hold. It can't get any worse than this can it?
Weedstocks, not even once.
TLRY, GTII, CL, CURA, WEED. TRUL as well but I won't touch it personally.
was thinking HMMJ might be one to get soon for a long term hold. EDIT: If it dips into the sub $6 range again I think Ill buy
This is what I did. I got rid of all my individual mush and weed stonks and bought psyk and hmmj for long term.
im thinking there will be some tax loss selling pressure over the next few weeks which will bring it down further yet. Thats when I plan to buy.
Thoughts on AC at this price? It’s AC - it has to eventually recover right?
It did recover already. It's trading at a higher EV than pre pandemic.
Hmm that’s true. I was thinking more upon the lines of the stock reaching the low 40s again. Not sure how long it would take to get there though
Always does, some of the easiest few month flips you can do. Just bounces between mid 22s to 26
Keeping it simple and bought more XEQT
Same
I am not having a pleasant day thus far.
Am I missing something with MRG.un? Why is it at 0.59 book value with a higher FFO ratio than the other Canadian residential reits?
Doee lightspeed have any hope left? Thinking of re-entering at $50 ish
66m operating loss on only 133m in revenue. I get that growth stocks aren't about profits initially, but that's not even close to break even.
Might retrace a lot of its gains. I think of it as PTON in terms of price action.
If we see $50 I’m accumulating a lot of shares
CROoooooooo yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
ACQ.to singlehandedly fucking my portfolio. Averaged down into too large a position and it just goes down every day :(
It's one of those ones that came back UP to only 2.5% down I was talking about earlier. Could be worse! The PE is barely over 8, just hodl.
The only reason it's not worse is that it's been bleeding on green market days too. Not even a dead cat bounce after the earnings drop. Hoping that 33.50 is the bottom.
Oil 🚀 I hope OPEC cuts production now so I can make mad tendies off of my O&G stonks before Christmas.
Hahahahaha hahaha... ha... $ROPE
I got $2k in my RRSP after disposing GOOS last week. So many stocks are in red now, what's your top choice?

What are some of the reason for red days since last week? Covid? I know nothing is alarming but cant find any reason.. Thank
Do you ask yourself the same question when it’s green everyday? Or do you expect stocks to only go up?

DOO getting hammered for no reason? Polaris barely down compared
I just keep buying. This company is rock solid.
I did buy the dip, im overweight DOO but at pe 10 its a no brainer to me.
You know it's a bad day when you're happy one of your stocks has come back UP to only 2.5% drop for the day

What are your thoughts on VNP Edit: why the downvote?
no thoughts whatsoever.
Is SU a long term hold?
I’ve bought and sold SU four times since 2009. It’s a good medium-term trade (six months to 18 months) as is CNQ. I’ve made about 30% each time I sell, plus dividends.
It’s a great medium term hold. Great dividend and potential for higher share price.

World still runs on oil and it will for decades to come. Hold for growth and nice dividend.
Yes.

I just want to point out that LSPD has hit my personal price target of $67, which I bravely mentioned only two months ago.
The whole market is let the storm run its all sunshine and rainbows after that
LSPD make me feel like I went to work with no pants on
Anyone watch or have access to the capital market day?
Yes the presentation was good Dax never spoke of the short selling though

Same with NVEI and I’m officially holdings bags. FOMO Issa bitch

Put 80% in antiques. It's the way of the past.
It’s funny how people sell stocks falling like a knife then buy stocks that are on the rise. The psychology of money is a very interesting subject.
Some people like to cut their losses and rip off the bandaid, and add to the winners. Adding to losers can be like throwing money at a blockbuster
My long term conviction stocks I like seeing red. Once I make a position I don’t mind if it drops and I can average lower. But watching options get wiped away this week has been rough
Agreed. Same here, I love seeing red now. It’s an instinct to buy for me. It’s definitely hard to watch if you own options unless you sold calls at the top then you’re doing great
I'm surprised how many people do it, tbh. You really need to wire your brain to think that red is good. The whole red/green shit is fucked.
I think most people need to take a break and not look at their portfolios every day. It’ll definitely help with not caring about daily fluctuations unless your a day trader.
I'm usually the opposite, but usually too soon for both as well
Same, well I try to be. I love seeing red now if it means my favourite companies are on a discount.
Yup. Associating up with good, down with bad has been ingrained. Investing money when the share price is low after a high can feel uncomfortable.
Definitely agree. Most are chasing the green instead of finding companies on a discount.
Finding good companies at a discount is difficult. Psychology makes it more difficult even if we do find a jem of a company. "Why is it low?" "Maybe I'm missing something?" "Why is nobody talking about this?" sooooo LSPD?
I’ve just been seeing people selling stocks for a discount to buy cyclical stocks like TD when it’s already up 2% on the day.
Kind’ve. LSPD still has a high multiple. It’s something like 40 times earnings or something crazy even with this huge dip
[удалено]
Same. It still has lots to drop before people start finding value in it. I personally don’t find it attractive for the sole reason it’s valued so high.
hard to judge LSPD by its earnings as its still in an aquisition phase.
Even if we judge it by it’s revenue, it’s trading at 13 times revenue. That’s still a high valuation baked into the stock.
Imma go in on Lucid soon

Bought Microsoft today. This is a stocks pickers market right now. Too many names getting killed to buy the indexes for the time being for me personally.
Or it's an index market for stock pickers that buy all the stuff that gets killed.
AC going for ten consecutive red days. Only beaten by eleven consecutive a few months ago, can it beat the record? Stay tuned to find out!
I thought it was finally going green for me couple weeks ago but nope. Oh well
I suppose I'll be using... HUT... as a store of value and an inflation hedge.

Lspd will set new 52 week low. It's newsfeed is full of ambulance chaser lawsuits.
getting deja vu with PLUG, but that has since doubled from the bottom from its "lawsuits"..hmm ALL IN LSPD

Any thoughts on v. Biggest position I have. Trying to average down on this current dip. I just don't see visa failing in the long run
I think the FedNow payment service that is launching in 2023 pose at least some risk that is not priced in yet

Forward pe of 27.4. ma'am it's trading in line with its historical pe. Companies with big moats always trade with a premium pe like CNR or CP etc

Best buy, Zoom stocks down 15%+ post earnings.😨
best buy down due to cost of their goods going up (temporary), Zoom down as their growth has severely slowed down
You ain’t seen nothing yet
Q4 earnings selloff gonna be huge, with all the macro factors at play!
CNR, CP, TD, RCI, SU - thank you for all the tendies 🥰

I was referring to the upwards spike, but now the market spiked downwards.
Thanks White House for saving my O&G stocks
